paloma really said get dressed or get depressed HAHA 😂😭 this was so inspiring to watch!! definitely makes me interested in trying to have a more early bird routine~
@@abhilashaa2799 i too struggle with mental health which is why i find the video uplifting! ^^ making a lighthearted joke is how i personally cope but i apologize if it came off as insensitive!
She’s lazy AF. She doesn’t even feed the cats herself, gives them dry food instead of wet food for breakfast. She wakes up at 7, but the automatic cat feeder is not until 7:30. Why can’t she feed them wet food herself. She has a nice big breakfast though. lol. Plus she complains about how she worked 3 hours straight and how hard it is on her. lol. Jesus the hardship. She does art all day. These youtubers are so delusional.
I’m so impressed by your morning routine and the note about finding your own productivity time is so spot on! I’m the most productive from 12-6 so I take my mornings easy and work out so I roll right into 12!
My mornings start at 3am 😅. I work a dayjob and take care of my elderly Dad as well as being an artist, working on my body of work before doing a full launch right now. So breakfast and lunch prep, wash up pack things up, warm up my vehicle, help my dad with meds and getting him fed with lunch in the Instapot or something I have ready that he can grab. I'll sketch a little until my alarm goes off and I leave for work from 6a-3p, grab any groceries and things, try to be home by 4. Check on my Dad, meds again for him with dinner, walk and play with my Dogs, clean a little, paint/sketch some more until bed. Some days I don't do any art and allow myself some reading or gaming time (need to wiggle in the fun here and there). Days off I rest and take care of Dad, with longer periods of art time. It's hard but quite fulfilling. ❤
I forgot there's people out there who enjoy waking up super early and being productive in the mornings haha. I have ADHD which gives me a delayed circadian rhythm so my most productive/creative hours are usually between 8 PM and 3 AM. I was a little shocked when you got up at 7 AM but I really appreciate that you mentioned that everyone is different and will have different productivity hours because sometimes people are like YOU HAVE TO GET UP SUPER EARLY OR ELSE and I feel so guilted by it! This was a really helpful video to watch
ofc!! i think if you have the option to choose your schedule then why not? i can’t stay up past 11pm because my mental health severely spirals after that time and i tend to fall into a depressive cycle, same thing happens if i sleep in too late. we all have diff ways of taking care of ourselves!!
Hey same! Mine is a little later, and it's a big problem because that is a timeframe when I complete things the most productively and I like to wait until that time to start my school projects and stuff. Because I'm in college, most of my stuff is due AT midnight, but I usually like to work PAST midnight. I also have to wake up early (8am) on some days because of the time my classes are at. My natural circadian rhythm is sometime like 4:30am-2pm and it really makes me feel terrible waking up so late in the day.
Up coming artist with ADHD...I was wondering why my times were off when it comes to my art activities and why it usually happens so late at night ...this makes so much...and because of this.. it motivates me to try to get on track so thank you!!
girl, thanks for this video! As someone is also self employed, my routine has gone to traaash! I like that you a weekly schedule written out. It's typed out, pasted on the fridge, and (for me) it seems like it can stop those "wandering around your apt just wasting time" moments. I'm going to try it out! Thanks Paloma!
I am much older than you and I really appreciate how you know yourself so well. I strive to teach my kids to know themselves as you do. I’m going to show them this. Kuddos to you for being a true artist and living creatively, as you. That is what I call real success.
Love seeing another self employed artists routine. It's interesting to see the parallels as well (like having to get dressed and trying to have a structure). I defo dip around 3PM!
So much credit to people who go through the extra step to look ✨stunning✨ even if they aren’t leaving the house. I can’t even get ready when I’m going somewhere 😂 Also…I’ve never had pesto eggs and that sounds fricken amazing. I always buy pesto and I feel like it’s only really good right after opening it. After it’s been in the fridge it just doesn’t hit the same. But I feel like frying it up with some eggs would really rejuvenate it! Definitely going to try it.
it’s so so yummy!! don’t need to season ur eggs at all, and sometimes it’s even yummier with hot sauce :3 (also) getting ready for me is SO important… if i don’t it affects my mood/energy so much
I had a really bad day today, and was trying to just find a video that would help me decompress and unwind and this was the best video I could have come across, it was so relaxing. Thank you so so much for sharing.
this is seriously so helpful! i am transitioning into becoming a tattoo artist and i am so inspired seeing an artist make a such beautiful life for themselves ;__;
Wow this was really helpful :) I’m not an artist but I do work from home as a professional writer. I’ve been struggling with making a schedule and sticking to it, but I realized I’m trying to do things in the day when I have the least amount of energy. Also, your art is so cute and amazing ❤
I feel the same way about breakfast. If I don’t have a nice sized breakfast I end up having low energy really quick. It literally is the most important meal for me.
i hate that i love mornings so much as for the aesthetics: mornings are so calming, the light is just right and beautiful, there's all this beautiful stuff happening in the nature and... other than that, i just am not a morning person. my creativity & energy level spikes at 9-11pm and continues well after midnight; before that, i can do creative stuff in short bursts but mostly would need to spend the first two halves of the day resting, kinda naturally preparing for the inspiration that will come. but that means i have to sleep late, if i also stay up late: and then i miss out on all the beautiful morning stuff. :( there's no easy way to get them both
I highly recommend finding a good workout routine that strengthens your lower back! I sit for hours every day for work as well and having a strong back and core make a huge difference in what I can tolerate. Really work on strengthening your posture when sitting and it will help you to not get so sore.
for me, both mornings and evenings are the most productive but from 12-17/18h my energy just dips. idk why, but I just cannot get myself to do things during that time which I used to fight a lot but recently I‘ve just come to accept that this is how I work/ how my body works so I‘ll just go at it in the mornings and evenings, and take it easy during the day. But it was definitely a lot of mental work to come to terms with this!
Thank you for sharing this Paloma! You literally inspired me while I watching this, I've been having a hard time to get my life tgt after graduation. I found that working in company is not my thing, but the self-employed is much more harder lol! but still much more better since I got to do the thing I love. I'm glad your vlog poped up on my reccomendation bc I'm not watching much of people routine, but yours have give energy to get my trash together for real. Thank you again queen!
I draw/work from 12nn - 9pm. But I take a 25mins Nap every afternoon. I Also use the Pomodoro Technique for maximum efficiency (75% of the time it works)
I'm a manga artist who works from home and over the last few years I've just been in my PJs all day and do nothing but work. I think I might try getting ready in the morning like you because then there's less barrier to leaving the house during the day. I also need to get on a schedule because I'm often waking up at 3am one days and then 3pm another. It's so hard to do a schedule especially when I'm behind on deadlines but my health needs something to change!
