People may think you have put decs up a bit early, but all the work and time it takes you to get them up it makes sense to have them all up as long as possible.

It makes sense to have them up for longer than a couple of weeks. Mine barely make a month I get fed up with them, often down by New Year’s Day.
It all looks really great and I love the outside tree. I love anything ginger bread when it comes to decorations but also have Disney decorations thrown in here and there. I agree, do whatever makes you happy.😊 I have my Christmas village up but not my tree yet.

The kitchen mirror garland looks great! But with some twinkly on red with a random white twinkle will take it to the next level :)!! Also get some battery operated lights for the lounge mirror garland! Overall amazing!

Not too early at all! We've already got our decorations up (the kids made me do it) but as you say, do what makes you happy! Looking amazing and very festive =) Every year I make a traditional Christmas cake (heavy fruit cake with marzipan and fondont icing over the top). Charlotte you should try making one! They're pretty easy and you can go wild with the design on top once done =D

I'm planning on putting my decorations up this weekend. May start it today. Of course here in the US we have Thanksgiving at the end of November so it's a tradition for most people to decorate for Christmas after that. Hard to believe it’s been 12 moths since your last Christmas decorating video. How time flys. Like me you organise the taking down of your tree for easier erecting the following year. I was amazed by your Twinkley lights in last year’s video but still haven’t brought mine. They are amazing. Fantastic decorating effort. Your neighbours kids must be knocking on the door constantly to look at your outdoor tree. I hope it survived the recent Storm Debi. Such an enjoyable 47 minutes. Fabulous festive set-up, we have Twinkly lights on the wish list for next year; our decs and tree are already up as well but a simpler affair this year as we’re moving south to live in the Lakes next year - closer to the hills and the theme parks! But we will have the full festive world back up when we’ve moved! As for Charlotte (hi!) and baking, perhaps some festive-spiced muffins, or some frangipane mince pies (we make from scratch as one of us is coeliac, the other dairy-free) but sometimes cheat and get a pre-made pastry! Oh, how about stained glass window cookies, they’re also great for the tree! xx

The decorations look great, well done shawn and charlotte. I would like to see you make some mince pies, i put stewed apple in mine, it makes the mince go further and they are less sweet and sickly, i put the stewed apple in first then the mince on top and then a star shape pastry on the top. I would also like to see you make some biscuits in different shapes and decorated. I am sure that anything that charlotte makes will be lovely and i will watch with interest.

So maybe you could get string light battery pack lights on a timer for your mirror then you could put battery pack behind mirror or rest it on top , some of them are pretty small, I use battery pack ones alot. Maybe Charlotte could have a go at a " frozen" themed cake ... I did one once and did sugar work heat this liquid glucose up v hot ( need a sugar thermometer) add a little blue colour then you pour it on a tray ..in top of ice cubes or somewhere cold ❄️ make a sheet of ice crack it and stick shards of ice pointing out of cake. Eat it quick cos sugar will melt like ice lol 🤣
