No, his former boss Associate Justice White, though highly off him. He often would recuse himself from cases where he had a conflict unlike some Justices. As Solicitor General he often put the constitution and the law over that of the orders and policies of the President, his administration and Party.

This led to him resigning amid charges that he was not "conservative" enough.

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) communicated with key players in the fake electors plot during the time between the 2020 election and Jan. 6, 2021. Text messages show Lee took an active role in making sure the effort was legal, while there are no messages that support his claim of being an investigator. He tried to deny any involvement and then said he was investigating whether the rumors were true or not. Yet he was actively involved in trying to make the Fake Electors scheme legal. Patriot? Not so much. He put one man and party before God and country. He only backed off the idea once he realized it was going to fail.

The Democrats in Congress, initiated that first investigation by the Judicial Conference of the United States. I seemed to recall that Judge Mark Wolf, has been obsessing after Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, since 2011 or maybe it was 2012. Pretty much, after Wolf disagreed with the findings by the Judicial Conference of the United States, a 27-member leadership body, which was led by Chief Justice John Roberts, at the time & which featured all federal appeals court chief judges, the chief of the Court of International Trade, & a rotating group of district court judges, which also included Wolf, had cleared Thomas of “willful” wrongdoing, they had considered it a “routine” matter. At the time, Wolf questioned whether that was appropriate and disagreed with the 26 other members of the Committee. Once again it's the Democrats in Congress and "public interest groups" asking the Judicial Conference to investigate Justice Thomas. I wonder are they also going to ask them to investigate Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who has done the something as Justice Thomas?

But Judge Wolf, if your testifying as an individual and yet you admit your law clerks helped prepare your statement AND that you consulted with another judge regarding your statement, you used federal funds to prepare for your testimony and therefore you're not testifying as an individual. Ethics really isn't that complex.

That judge was placed under oath when he sat before the senate panel, one doesn’t insert their personal feelings. He placed personal relationships and sentiments of the past into a current legal government argument. You can cite your personal feelings all day long and it won’t make it any more factual either.
He attempted to say something he felt would shame Mike Lee into feeling a certain way that might change the course of the questioning , by invoking his deceased father in a matter of the senate and SCOTUS concern where it did not belong. So inappropriate,, and unprofessional. Judge Wolfe revealed himself to be of low moral character!

It’s impossible to overstate how difficult it is to get a significant rise out of Mike Lee. I don’t always agree with him. But I respect the hell out of him both as a senator and as a man. He is easily one of the most principled and authentic members of Congress I’ve seen in my 50 years.
