If there was a dark ending to this game, this would be it. Calamity Ganon just eliminating all the Champions in Hyrule castle (as he couldn't do it with his blights, in the champions' respective Divine beasts), along with King Rhoam, Terrako (the culprit of the entire sequence of events, and Ganon ending Terrako here, in this quest is just so savage) and finally Zelda and Link. After that he absorbs Link and Zelda and then floods Hyrule, guardians, divine beasts and all, with his malice yet again. Maybe even gaining the power of the triforce from Link and Zelda? This was literally my favorite quest! I would have despised it so much if this were the real ending of this game (I'm several others too lol). And I thought that the consequence known as BOTW was sad enough, but then they pull this? Genius. By adding one simple quest, they made an alternate, dark ending. Props.👏👏
I wonder if the guardian of remembrance DLC pack will show everything that really happened leading up to Hyrule's downfall. I feel like perhaps this mission is the beginning of that
I mean the guardian is pretty cool. really over powered if you know what you're doing, but true, I really hope we get some cool shit in November. I'm hoping fir Robbie and Purah along with playable Villians
Given the end credits shows Sooga back and the nature of this mission... it feel like Sooga is unlockable they just didn't realize that the triggers for unlocking him don't work. So he is just sitting there in game, the devs think we can use him but in reality we can't. This game... has a few major concerns tied to it.
I’m really happy this mission allows us to play as Sooga when we unlock him in DLC 2. I still wish Guardian of Remembrance also added Astor, he’s the only character missing from the roster.
It really sucks this was added in before getting Sooga, not only does this set up for getting him/Astor but the fact Sooga appears in the 2nd credits and game files which suggest he was intended to be playable. Shame this game was rushed and had to cut corners. (Astor and Sooga should NOT be missing from the base game.) Also before anyone mentions the Side Missions Sooga appears in... The game explicitly tells you either when you unlock side missions or in the loading menu, those are battlefields in alternate worlds. It should be obvious given Link gets killed in this battle field and fails to escape Hyrule but I know there are people who will not notice that as we all make mistakes.
I really like that we get to team up with Astor in this mission and have bokoblins as allies!

The detail of Zelda using the shiekah slate in this mission makes me think this is a timeline where she never awoke her powers
"Are we the baddies?"
This quest caught me completely by surprise- Was not expecting this at all ._.
Playing the bad guys is kind of fun sometimes though, right? I think this was a top favorite quest this dlc
@@elisehermann6094 yes remember Wreck-It Ralph 1 (2012) “I’m bad and that’s good”.
@@ktown1228 💯 nailed it
It definitely adds value since you need Calamity Ganon unlocked in order to play the mission.
@@elisehermann6094 it became my favourite mission in Age of Calamity
I can’t help but feel that Sooga’s walk makes him look like his pants are too tight.
Maybe he has a wedgie

Maybe explain the origins of Astor? I’m just spit-balling here.
...Ya know, I really hope that Sooga and Astor become playable in the next pack...this feels kinda unfair. :(
Hopefully Next pack in november will bring more

especially sooga, he kinda reminds me of volga from hyrule warriors (who i pretty much mained)
Praying day and night for playable Astor and Harbinger Ganon

Imagine if Astor took over Hyrule in TOTK.
7:43: Kohga blowing up Mipha right in front of Link tho. 💀

And harbinger ganon
this is foreshadowing astor and sooga being playable in dlc 2 change my mind
4:22 *adds this to my sooga x kohga headcannon*

He's going to be DLC chill.
which side mission?
@@diegocortez270 Battle at Fort Hateno.
@@Nosretep, He’s also in this mission.
@@catalyst539 Which surprised me too.
"but what if you are the bad guy?"
Like from Wreck-It Ralph 1 (2012), “I’m bad and that’s good”.
I feel this is hitting the next DLC because it’s makes sense you play as the bad guys to see the end of hyrule
I hope dlc part 2 will be the true BOTW's 100 years events
This is why I am making an hurtle warriors fangame
The ending everyone wanted
Not me wth
Wish this was bad guy ending rule hyrule between this guy and astor.
I love the caos of this game.
*Let's be the bad guys*
What is required for this battle to be unlocked?
I just want to play the game
