I am not locked yet, considering it however I appreciate this video. It gives a different side of loc journey I had no idea existed. Helps me manage expectations. 😊
Thanks for sharing your postpartum journey with locs. I’m almost 2 years in, and starting the journey of getting pregnant (for the first time) this winter. So this has been really helpful to have the right expectations.
Mama did amazing! 🎉🎉🎉 I love your voice. Nice calming and informative vid to watch while I work 😊. Thank for sharing! Is your retie time relaxing ? I have thicker locs and I know this sounds weird, but I sort of miss having to do my hair (I used to do mini twists and actually loved the process because it became “me” time after having my kids). So part of me wonders if I’d also enjoy reties if I do end up installing micros in the future.
She did and thank you! I definitely find the reti process relaxing. I treat is as self care as well. The front does take a bit longer because I have to use a mirror, but the process is very satisfying for me.
Hey Friend! I love your page! I wanted to stop and say thank you for sharing your journey. I was just talking with my husband last night about coming mainly cutting out my locs because of postpartum shedding🙂↕️ he convinced me to look into combing them out first before doing that! Then the very next day your video pops up on my TL!! I’ll keep them and just redo the areas that areare thinning and not doing so well! 🫶🏾🙏🏾
Hey friend! I’m so happy you found my video at the right time 😊 Yes we don’t need to get rid of all of our hair if we don’t want to. The important thing is taking really good care of the areas that need it the most. Good luck with growing back your thinning areas! 🙏🏾
My hair is growing back but not as full. At least not yet. I'm 9 moths pp. I have a decent account of new growth but when i compare the fullness of my ends to my roots of the same loc its clearly thinner.
Question! Are you going to continue to shave the neck area or start new loc’s there? I’ve had my loc’s for 4 years now and just as you said, NONE of them are the same 🤣 Well not exactly but you get my drift 😊
Exactly how do you take out the locs after you've already had them in for so long? I didn't know you could ever take them out. I thought you had to cut them off. I've had mines in for a year and would like them smaller? I went to a loctician. I would love for you to tell me how to do a 4 point because that's what I have. Thank you❤
Check out my video all about how I combed out my locs: th-cam.com/video/fkf9KH9Q1Ds/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MUK3vq-N0fYwqSNX And I have a bunch of videos on my channel all about the 4 pt rotation as well. Here’s one of them: th-cam.com/video/DGanJAqis6c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xeahSnIQlXlI3a44
I just started my loc journey over. I tried the twist method at first and they all slipped out. I didn't know what to do. I was so defeated. So I used the braid method because my hair is so soft and curly. Any suggestions??

Love this video. Question there is no braid with this method? I just finished what I thought was micro locs however mine are small braids.

I always keep that area shaved. I shave it pretty much every reti. 👍🏾

Im also going to get mine reinstalled all over, but i have to get a professional cause my arms hurt
postpartum shedding is not joke - But your hairline is coming in back so full. I still struggle with my hair density at the front 8 years later!
I’m 2 1/2 months in and I have a few rows I need to do over, but I just can’t fathom it 😂

Wanted to do the interloc method but I gave up. I really don't want anyone else in my hair 🤦🏾♀️
