    There are many things that need fixing in the UK and even just England but after Covid, it’s these types of videos and getting out there myself that make appreciate how incredibly lucky we are to have such landscapes and history. I am also incredibly lucky to live in Derbyshire myself. All these are now on my list for my next outing, thank you guys! Even the first stone circle, looking in the background at the scenery makes you understand why those ancient people felt something spiritual or magical when they made those circles

      We couldn't agree more. We also live in Derbyshire and know how incredibly lucky we are to have these places on our doorstep. We are so glad you found value in this video and it's served you exactly as we'd want it to. You'll have to let us know how you get on when you visit the circles. Enjoy your adventure ✌️

    9 ladies is my favourite. been there dozens of times, with the kids and on my own. tend to go there for most vernal events and pagan celebrations, summer & winter solstices, equinoxes, full moons, beltane, lammas etc. Had some amazing times drumming, firespinning and met lots of amazing people up there over the last 5 years

    The last stone circle that you went to was by far the best. I’m not sure if you know this and I don’t know if it’s intentional or pure coincidence but each stone in that last circle match up with peaks in the distance I’ve seen them and they line up with win hill and several other peaks in the distance so I’m not sure if it was some sort of mapping point thousands of years ago maybe it would be worth a trip back and see which stones Logan up with which peaks see if you can work out from that what it was used for.

    Me and Yolande( my wife) went to the Peak district in 2019. Lots of beautiful spots over there! We saw three of the stone circles you mention. And indeed : the nine ladies (nr.4)in the woods...it was already afternoon and too crowdy. There was a group of people having a picnic between the stones. We went to Arbor Low too and we thought the stones were lying flat on purpose...because when you go to other places in England or France or elsewhere...you'll not find anything like this!

    I did a walk recently which visited most of these places 😍 I couldn’t find Doll Tor though! I found the Ardle Stone and was expecting it to be close but the forest behind was very overgrown.. could you give me some instructions how to find it please ? 💚💚💚

    • @HayandKyle
      @HayandKyle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Certainly! Doll Tor is a little hard to find because there is no direct path to it. It's tucked away in the corner of a farmers field opposite Stanton Moor entrance (west) You do have to cross the field diagonally to reach the trees at the bottom. Our opening drone shot for that section better shows the general direction across the field. Hard to explain in the comments 😅

    • @HayandKyle
      @HayandKyle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you park on Birchover Road near to the Cork Stone, you can cross the field from there, it is marked on Google Maps :)

    There are no pits under the stones so its generally assumed they never stood upright .the cove which was a grave on the circle and a skeleton was found during excavation.
