First dog I had was a Golden I got off 'Death Row' at the Pound. Had him 11.5 yrs,we 'think' he was 13 (or more?) when he passed. Great Dog,but really Mixed Up. Only Dog I've even seen that played 'Fetch' on his own terms. Thought his main functions in life was to get petted,lick faces and befriend all the mailmen. Also once 'adopted' a litter of kittens he found and became their 'Uncle'. Family member who was looking after him once commented that he was either the dumbest dog he'd ever seen....or was really good at outsmarting everyone!!!
The best dog breed there ever was made by man himself.
Twist reminds me of my beloved golden retriever, Sadie, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in February.
