Found my first Mara’s and SOJ within an hour last night, I couldn’t believe it, first and only unique amulet and ring of the day too. Kinda hurts knowing I’ve probably ignored some yellow rare item that could’ve been badass.
*Considering* the runewords from 1.10, they should totally bring back the 1.08 versions of some uniques, like Arkaine's... As far as the cruel/fools mod items - bows and phase blades, especially with quickness! Talk about godly...windforce is nice, but a 450% ed 40% ias bow with 2 open sockets would walk all over that.
I see people want to get killed by the Guided Arrows again or are we only talking 1.08 items? I'm truly wondering, how PvP is going to make it's return or not as it was somewhat of a niche back in the day because it can be so extremely expensive to gear out correctly. Let's not even start on the low level PvP, which can be even more expensive.
I remember way back in the day, I found a 392/40 blue cryptic sword. It was the best thing i've ever seen. Tried it out of so many builds, fury druid, paladin, barb, even sin.
I remeber that back in d2lod I spent some coin for an Eth Fanged Knife with Fools+Cruel+IAS+Repair. It was nowhere near perfect ED roll, but I still managed to have a lot of fun with the fury dudu in some gm duels.
In the same idea than the rare insane berserker axes which can go up to 667 max damage and 70 ias with the 2 perfect 40ed 15ias jewels, we have the rare eth War pike with 450 ed 2 socket 40 ias and either amp damage or life leech or AR or even damage to demon. This war pike is the highest damage stick possible in the game. It could go up to 1755 max damage if you give it to the merc with 2 ohm rune in it which is crazy... Those kind of rare item is the reason why I take every rare eth item in the game. Maybe one day I will find one of those. ...then you crash before saving and you stop diablo 2 forever. XD
Its really cool thinking about 550% ed items but if i found suck a war pike i would throw 2 lo runes in it. 40% deadly strike is like adding a flad 40% damage boost to the total.

There are some pretty badass cruel bows and swords. Back in the day I had a believe it was a cruel ward bow of quickness that was better than wind force because it shot insanely fast.

The odds are against you, but if you identify enough items and have the knowledge to recognize something’s good, you can find something extremely valuable. Yeah but not really. Runewords surpass 90% of all other times in the game. There's really no variation of the meta builds. Enigma, grief, insight (Merc), spirit, blah blah blah jah. The joy of finding a new unique you don't have is almost immediately eclipsed by the realization that even your rhyme or lore runeword is still better than it

I have a 30 resist all -27 physical damage taken amulet offline. An assorted selection of daggers with curse charges. Dim vision is most common. Gamble the Dirks for Lower Resistance and Life Tap though! No need to look for wands for that, and often a good one will give +'s and stuff like 100% monster flee on strike if rare.
Instead of a zerker axe finding that in an eth dimensional blade and then upgrading it into a phaseblade should be the "best" base since you can get another affix instead of the repair mod on it. Yes phaseblades can normally not be ethereal since they are indestructible innately but if you find an eth dimensional blade and then upgrade it it will keep it. I've picked up a lot of rare dimensional blades believing in the dream but nothing yet lol, probably a higher chance to be struck by lightning several times.
@@guardianangel1468 A phaseblade is much faster so in most builds it was the better option anyway and now with the attack speed not being capped anymore there's probably even fewer cases were a berserker axe would be the better option.
Rarest items include 2/3/3/res/stats rare sorc orbs. Such as 2sorc/3fireball/3firemastery/3warmth/meteor/firebolt/40res/mana/other useful stats. Or rare assassin claws. Such 2sin/40ias/3lightsentry/3weaponblock/3mindblast/venom/life rep/2sockets. An extremely godly assassin claw is probably the hardest to roll rare item period. For rings, there's a bunch of different godly ones. I'll just go over a craft one and rare one as an example. 10fcr/30str/60life/30lightres (would be the most expensive, but change light res to cold or fire would be godly too. Cold being second most) another gg rare ring would be 10fcr/9rep/mana/40lr/10@res/usually nothing that good for caster can be the 6th mod, but this 5 mod ring is going to cost hunsreds of dollars from which ever item importer is selling it. They have dupes already, if you think "importing" which is really just mass rerolling with duped ingredients isn't gonna happen, you're very mistaken. YOGIN@TOR who owns yesgamers already has hundreds potentially 1000+ bots already.
Have been looking for really good Rare claws with perfect mods all my life, also, I still want to find that +2 socket/+2/3 poison nova shield. One of my favorite rings to find are 10% cast rate dual leech rings, I think people underestimate their usefulness, literally got like 3 in 20 years.

Venomous wand of the magus. Plus 3 to PnB and 20FCR with 2os. Wand rolls with +3 to Poison Nova + 3 to Fire Golem and +3 to Lower resistance. Socket with two 5/5 poison facets. This is a best in slot wand for a poison nova build. Saves 11 skill points gives +2 to nova level and 10% more poison damage and 20% fcr over deaths web.
CTC amp damage on hit is considered bad manners in duels so a weapon that would roll it would go down in value considerably with practically everyone looking for those types of weapons are usually barb v barb or zeal v zeal in pvp.
A long time ago I had a high rolled fhr/attack rating/dual stat jewel that I socketed into some random circlet that my friend told me I was an idiot for doing haha.
The continual search for these ultra-rare items is why Diablo 2 is still being played after 20+ years. I’ve been playing since 2002, and haven’t found so much it’s amazing.
Same day as watching this vid I pick up a rare phase blade and it has chance to cast amp damage! Along with IAS, ED, AR, and + max dmg, but sadly all wayyy below where they need to be decent lol, so I just put it on my trophy mule

Could you imagine a system in D2R like the one in Path of Exile, where you can use different Orbs (the currency in PoE) on a crafting table in order to re-roll the mods on rare items. That would be crazy Just like a grand charm can be re-rolled with 3 pgems, but in PoE even the individual different affixes can be re-rolled, which can lead to godly rare items that are often much better than unique items.
That round thing under the character's window at 2:00 looks exactly like Gibbering Gemstone in D3. It doesn't drop to me there so I've found it at least in D2R ;)
I remember i had some sick circlet on my sorceress back in the day. Cant recall the stats but they were all useful, like 2 all skills max sockets, 20 fcr, all resists + single resist, maxed life, and something else. Cant recall the stats, but i remember that in the d2jsp i had people wanting it off me for the equivalent of like $10k USD. I was a chad and didnt sell it. I was probably the richest guy on d2 with 2 internet connections and 16 bots 24/7 (you couldnt have more than 8 accs online on 1 internet connection and there was no such thing as VPNs then). i had a clan who's requirements to be in was basically making my clan my muling and trade bitches. They would all sort, catalog and sell my bots items and get a cut for that ( which was very generous).
This may not be so "rare" but rare for me. The "Lo" rune ,the "Lem" rune, & the SOJ on offline play. It started playing since release. I got 3 characters to 90+. Been using all the farming "hot spots". I have found a number high, rare runes which includes 3 "Jah" runes & a "Zod". However, the "D2R" gods just don't want me to have my "Treachery " armor, my "Ice" Bow, or to finish my Sorceress build.
Just like they don't want me to have my simple 3trap amulet. I gambled away tens of millions and probably got every single 3 skill for other classes, including martial arts, except 3 traps.
I am questioning the Berserker Axe with Cruel, Master's, and Fool's. Master's and Fool's are or at least were in the same affix group and can't roll together. Unless that's been changed, that's not a legit item.
Cruel/master's/40ias/2sox/eth-self repair Thunder Maul is my absolute dream item. With 2 ruby jewels of fervor it hits max whirlwind IAS breakpoint while also being the absolute highest possible damage item in game. 350-1700 damage with 70 ias, the perfect damage stick.
I can tell you for a fact that I have a legit Cruel Fool's rare Ogre Axe with 299% ED + Fool's mod. This isn't master/GM since it doesn't have a "flat" AR boost. Also, have a 2os 430% ED rare Ward Bow that does 295 max damage! It spawned with both cruel and (grand?)master stats!
@@vjspectron You just confirmed what he already stated without realizing it and he remains correct about that. More than 300ED is not possible when you have fools at the same time, for the simple reason that the fools prefix is in the same group as the other additional ED prefixes. The same group cannot get picked two times therefore you have either up to 450ED and no fools, or up to 300ED and fools. There are also other mistakes in this video in the items he generated, for example a rare amazon javelin cannot have more than +4 skills because both the staffmod and the rare magic affix cannot roll +3 on a yellow item, it's reserved for blue items only. I highly doubt that they touched the way affixes are generated to such an extent in D2R to make such things possible, otherwise.
Amp is not allowed in ANY gm melee game. Also can't have cruels AND masters fools on same item. But anyways I get what you were trying to say, any combination of them. Rarest possible jewel is a 7fhr/4rep/40lr/10@. 30/60/9/9 is pretty rare as well. Anyways the point of my post was just to remind people if you're gonna be ISO a melee zerker, don't get one with any elemental damage or any chance to cast anything. They're BM.
I used to collect rares from 1.04 to 1.09 Only the craziest mods I sold many many rares to websites and they perm duped them. I also found the very first wind force hydra on us west hardcore. I sold the unique hydra to a man that had item sites. Guess how much via paypal I got for the bow? Also got 5 accounts full of duped perm rings amulets. ...... oh them days
wow. i didnt know the affixes were capped different on rare jewels. i think ive a +8str 28 ed 7fhr +whatever else in d2r, but i thought it had low enhanced damage to be of use.
A small suggestion. These yellow items with perfect rolls are not just close to impossible they are actually impossible to find. It would be very hard even when every item would have only those desirable affixes. Thus what about more realistic approach: items with the same perfect affixes but not perfect roll but average or even minimal. For example, the best HP affix for a grand charm is 41-45HP thus a perfect roll is 45, minimal is 41 and average 43. I believe that finding rare itmes just with the best affixes but not perfect rolls are much more realistic and maybe even achievable through huge multi-people gamble.
Hey Coooley I have a good idea for a single player focused video. How to farm for specific itens with armor/weapon racks. Ive learned that running at the rack at certain angles will drop different items. Not sure 100% how it works but ihave learned this farming for 5os PBs
I have found a sor ball with 61 mana boost and no LV requirement . Although maybe just a normal drop , but it's real good for my sor get plenty of mana at start. So it is a trophy for me.
As someone that mfs a lot in level 85 areas i can def say those zerker axes are extremely rare ive found so many white or magic zerker axes ive never found a rare one
I found quad res boots on D2R bnet, with 38 fire, 39 cold, 38 psn, and 25 reduced psn length. They only rolled with 10 frw and another garbage stat I can't remember. They're cool enough to be in my stash, but I doubt they're worth much.
About poison resist/duration it is not even effectively the same unless condition is that you have 0 resist to start with. Lets say you have 50% resist. Enemy deals 1600 dmg over 4 secs. Boots with 25% resist increase our resistance to 75% hence enemy deals 400 over 4 secs. Now with reduced poison time length. 50% against 1600 dmg = 800% dmg in 4 sec. We reduce duration by 25%, so it is equal 600 dmg over 3 secs.
Were these insane rares able to toll like this in legacy d2? i have thousands of hours, so do my buddies and we have never seen items like this on jsp or seen them found by bots. My mind scattered when i saw these and that doesnt happen too often in a game ive played for over a decade

One day I have 3 El runes drop from the Countess on Hell. I calculated, that's much more rare then getting Lo from her. I'm such a lucky bastard.

Cant recall the stats, but i remember that in the d2jsp i had people wanting it off me for the equivalent of like $10k USD. I was a chad and didnt sell it. I was probably the richest guy on d2 with 2 internet connections and 16 bots 24/7 (you couldnt have more than 8 accs online on 1 internet connection and there was no such thing as VPNs then). i had a clan who's requirements to be in was basically making my clan my muling and trade bitches. They would all sort, catalog and sell my bots items and get a cut for that ( which was very generous).
This may not be so "rare" but rare for me. The "Lo" rune ,the "Lem" rune, & the SOJ on offline play. It started playing since release. I got 3 characters to 90+. Been using all the farming "hot spots". I have found a number high, rare runes which includes 3 "Jah" runes & a "Zod". However, the "D2R" gods just don't want me to have my "Treachery " armor, my "Ice" Bow, or to finish my Sorceress build.
Just like they don't want me to have my simple 3trap amulet. I gambled away tens of millions and probably got every single 3 skill for other classes, including martial arts, except 3 traps.
Was hoping to see a JMOD on this list. I found one about 3 weeks into release. I was in shock when I I’d’d it.

I am questioning the Berserker Axe with Cruel, Master's, and Fool's. Master's and Fool's are or at least were in the same affix group and can't roll together.
Unless that's been changed, that's not a legit item.
Cruel/master's/40ias/2sox/eth-self repair Thunder Maul is my absolute dream item. With 2 ruby jewels of fervor it hits max whirlwind IAS breakpoint while also being the absolute highest possible damage item in game. 350-1700 damage with 70 ias, the perfect damage stick.
Wrong, you need 80 ias with this weap for reaching last ww bp

You can’t find a 450 ED axe with fools mod, the max ED is 300 with fools, you are able to get max damage though
I can tell you for a fact that I have a legit Cruel Fool's rare Ogre Axe with 299% ED + Fool's mod. This isn't master/GM since it doesn't have a "flat" AR boost.
Also, have a 2os 430% ED rare Ward Bow that does 295 max damage! It spawned with both cruel and (grand?)master stats!
@@vjspectron You just confirmed what he already stated without realizing it and he remains correct about that. More than 300ED is not possible when you have fools at the same time, for the simple reason that the fools prefix is in the same group as the other additional ED prefixes. The same group cannot get picked two times therefore you have either up to 450ED and no fools, or up to 300ED and fools.
There are also other mistakes in this video in the items he generated, for example a rare amazon javelin cannot have more than +4 skills because both the staffmod and the rare magic affix cannot roll +3 on a yellow item, it's reserved for blue items only.
I highly doubt that they touched the way affixes are generated to such an extent in D2R to make such things possible, otherwise.
Amp is not allowed in ANY gm melee game. Also can't have cruels AND masters fools on same item. But anyways I get what you were trying to say, any combination of them. Rarest possible jewel is a 7fhr/4rep/40lr/10@. 30/60/9/9 is pretty rare as well. Anyways the point of my post was just to remind people if you're gonna be ISO a melee zerker, don't get one with any elemental damage or any chance to cast anything. They're BM.

wow. i didnt know the affixes were capped different on rare jewels. i think ive a +8str 28 ed 7fhr +whatever else in d2r, but i thought it had low enhanced damage to be of use.
in project diablo 2 mod, i found a magic pelt with +3 elemental skill, +3 tornado, +3 hurricane, +1 armageddon

A small suggestion. These yellow items with perfect rolls are not just close to impossible they are actually impossible to find. It would be very hard even when every item would have only those desirable affixes. Thus what about more realistic approach: items with the same perfect affixes but not perfect roll but average or even minimal. For example, the best HP affix for a grand charm is 41-45HP thus a perfect roll is 45, minimal is 41 and average 43. I believe that finding rare itmes just with the best affixes but not perfect rolls are much more realistic and maybe even achievable through huge multi-people gamble.
These videos make me feel like i'm missing out on stuff by playing hardcore.

Hey Coooley I have a good idea for a single player focused video. How to farm for specific itens with armor/weapon racks. Ive learned that running at the rack at certain angles will drop different items. Not sure 100% how it works but ihave learned this farming for 5os PBs

I have found a sor ball with 61 mana boost and no LV requirement . Although maybe just a normal drop ,
but it's real good for my sor get plenty of mana at start. So it is a trophy for me.

I found quad res boots on D2R bnet, with 38 fire, 39 cold, 38 psn, and 25 reduced psn length. They only rolled with 10 frw and another garbage stat I can't remember.
They're cool enough to be in my stash, but I doubt they're worth much.

About poison resist/duration it is not even effectively the same unless condition is that you have 0 resist to start with. Lets say you have 50% resist. Enemy deals 1600 dmg over 4 secs. Boots with 25% resist increase our resistance to 75% hence enemy deals 400 over 4 secs. Now with reduced poison time length. 50% against 1600 dmg = 800% dmg in 4 sec. We reduce duration by 25%, so it is equal 600 dmg over 3 secs.
rare druid pelt with 5 tornado 3 hurricane, max rolled FHR, 2 sockets and other crap. In this case even color and skin of the pelt matters.
Technically you could craft safety boots with quad res: 10% Fire(C), 40% Cold(P), Light(P), Poison(P)
No you can't, crafting rolls only 2 prefixes 2 suffixes at max.
