I've never said Kazuya isn't strong even at his weakest in the weakest version of him and definitely not before 1.05 patch. The issue is the amount of effort and raw execution skill to get the same reward versus almost any other character as well as basically being good enough to Psychological mindfuck your opponents to take the crouch dash pressure. (which has an execution barrier in of itself) The only downplaying that occurs is how difficult it actually is against a good player to pull off his gameplan. Because if you drop execution or guess wrong, you are dead almost every time. As well as how much knowledge it actually takes to be able to intimidate a good opponent with his move set. And people massively downplay this execution factor side of the character compared to everyone else, and how much it actually effects things. I love this all kazuya players are just bad idea. I think we know character loyalists in tekken is almost non existent at this point. if all Kaz players are just bad why aren't the good players flocking to him? Coaching feels iffy on a 1v1 competitive game but I don't see why it should not be allowed. Maybe some rules like only between matches, have a time limit, and you can only have one designated coach to not get disruptive.
"between matches": that's the same as "no coaching". "time limit": I'm pretty sure the guy with the cap is timing it. "one designated coach": I don't see it fixes anything. One thing that I don't like with coaching with this top 8 is that the viewer has to see the player's ass during coaching.
@@mahoganywood6468 between matches as in between the ft3 games just like they've been doing? having only one coach stops other people from helping or getting help online through a call or something

As a Kazuya main, I was rooting so hard for Keisuke trees around me started sprouting. He will be back. Kazuya mains are back.
I do love these longer videos, but I don't think it's even in the same category of the shorter ones.
IMO you should do both, longer for the tournament and commentary, and the in depth analysis ones later.
I enjoyed the live commentary a lot, this is a good format
I love the longer videos, because i love watching your tekken videos, so the longer the better.
Long format is definitely the move, that and ambiguous titles (like the title to this video) to avoid potential spoilers for some people is probably the best.
i like the longer video format as im gonna watch it all anyways so might as well have it all in one
I think the advice of "just put out moves" implies that they have the correct spacing already. I would still advocate heavily for movement first improvement in tekken
But to that, I think he's really just emphasizing that the T8 meta is more aggressive than T7, not that it is more important than movement necessarily
Love watching the whole tournament!
I’m just happy to see Leo being used in the finals 😄
I really loved it being just one video
The combo drop at the end was so “yep” as it’s happen so often. It’s really sad to be honest as a kaz main, wasn’t even surprising.
Coaching while matches needs to GO GO GO.
I liked long video format. Came back like 5 times to finish or rewatch certain matches. I don't expect every tournament to be covered like this. Maybe Evo?
Im a video binger, so the long videos scratch that itch. But get that bag Phidx, make multiple vids if that does better
this uncut format is more engaging, for top 8
I like the full analysis of it which happens more in the 3 episodes format however what if you did both
I prefer the single video but I would be just as fine with multiple vids if they dropped closer together than 1 or 2 per day
I like the full top 8 video format. Amazing run from Keisuke. Bummed that he lost in the end.
1:37:28 here a guy say “ PICK SOMEBODY ELSE “ 😂😂😂
"Now he's Pakistani himself but he reps the UK" @Phidx Do you use this same description when talking about yourself? Honest question (Ethnicity versus where you were born and raised?)
little bit OT, but as i havent seen one.. are leverless arcadesticks not allowed in this tournament? i cant find something in the Rules which sets this clear
Doujin shouldn't change his style at all. He made the top 8 with playing 5 or 6 characters.
in winner's side too. fr don't sleep on this man just because he didn't get 1st in a tournament, it takes a lot of brain power to do what he does its insane
53:40 it's probably harder to peak and listen if you're using directional pad on a regular controller. Maybe a way to counter pakistani surveillance
Your third timestamp says "Dragonuv".
I like the longer videos but do whatever is best for you !
It’s a match winning performance by Atif. It was so fast
Good job sending JDCR to loser's PhiDX!!!
I really thought you were gonna make it to top 8 but top 24 is nothing to scuff at.
The competition was so fierce this time around. . . it felt like top 8 fights when we were still in top 64 or something rofl.
Crazy event and i'm gald i watched all of it!
Once again, great performance this week end!!!
this video format is more convenient for the watch time and also audience
Damn, I just realized we literally have players young enough that they haven't played a tekken game with Mokujin in it.....
1:31:45 - lmao Phi get up and walked the exact same way as Joka 😂
How to do the move at 2:17:09 ?
I enjoy the long full video
This video was great watched the whole thing
i love the long format matter of fact i love you phi
Man I'm pissed hahaha Keisuke's Kazuya is full of confidence and precision he forgot to cooldown getting that reset I still think that mishima players deserve that W in tournaments hahaha
no, one video is amazing !
Awesome AO vs Joka, so exciting.
Everytime Kazuya's DF1 drops in the middle of a combo, a fraction of my life span goes away☺️
the df2 finish at the wall is optimal because it leaves them with the wall on their left.
@@mahoganywood6468 between matches is the same as we're seeing here. how would that be no coaching?
limiting coaches also stops having more coaches from helping making times longer.
@@pnx073 "coaching between games": what we have here
"coaching between matches": no coaching when you fight someone
@@mahoganywood6468 You got it wrong, my guy. One match is ft2/3/etc. in this case. Games are entire bo1/2/etc. matches.
I need to lab if that combo even works, because I have no idea how that slaughter hook dropped.
The hotel room looks kinda stylish, the anime poster!
No socks, no shoes, no entry
This format!
Long videos are the only way
I think the format of one video works for full top 8 live reactions, whereas retrospective breakdowns benefit from the deeper dive you can do in a match-per-video format.
The lack of BS moves for Bryan is still the only reason why we won't see one winning a tournament and why Knee stopped spamming him so much.
full vid goes hard
i prefer one big video with top 8 and other videos of top 24 and lower
i dont want to be that guy but to save you from a worse situation its actually called "parricide fist" the kazuya cd1+2
