Ombudsman needed for US healthcare, well funded and staffed and no BS taken from predatory health insurers. All refusals should be made public and debated in public and customers warned about notoriously higher refusers so they can change providers at will. Employee schemes should not be tied to a single provider or tie healthcare professionals and providers to a single insurer.

"The rule of law that protects us all" -- that was the phrase by that police lady that struck me. No, the so called "rule of law" protects the billionaire class, and not us.
I am okay with billionaires realizing they aren't immune. I don't condone violence. But, that evil CEO is responsible for bloodshed so zero sympathy here. And a big empath here. I had to fight like hell with insurance to get my son help. Hey billionaires, your lives are not more valuable than ours. Just something you might want to consider. You aren't superhuman and you are just wealthier than other people. You aren't a better person because of wealth. It's what you do with it. Plenty of wealthy people have given back. And though I don't support organized crime, the MAFIA actually cares about their community and has a code. It's kind of a sad state of affairs when I believe the mafia cares more about society than our government elected officials, but I think there is some truth to it. My late uncle was in the family. I don't condone what he did. But, he gave a lot to local people in need and was a bit of a dark hero. Again, kind of a weird analogy to use here, but it fits.

@@guppy0536 what does the phrase 'eat the rich' mean and it's origin? -- source: Gemini 1.5 free version : The phrase "Eat the Rich" is a provocative slogan that expresses extreme frustration with economic inequality. Meaning: It's a metaphor for class conflict and a demand for wealth redistribution. It suggests that when the gap between the rich and the poor becomes too vast, the poor may resort to violence or extreme measures to reclaim wealth and resources. Origin: The phrase is often attributed to the French philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, who during the French Revolution is said to have stated: "When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich." Modern Usage: "Eat the Rich" has resurfaced in recent years as a rallying cry for social and economic justice movements, particularly in response to increasing wealth inequality and perceived injustices within capitalist systems. Important Note: It's crucial to understand that "Eat the Rich" is a highly symbolic and controversial phrase. It does not literally advocate for violence or cannibalism.
These elites have spent so much time on dividing American and then this.A great man who had all he needed and no reason to care but he did.Thats what makes him great. He made a stand and his last stand maybe, brought all of america together.I tell you what.I sure as shit never seen it coming but am so glad we are here to see it. ❤ Thank you for caring young man!
This is so important: the oligarchs are dividing us purposely so we do not see what they are taking from us. Hopefully this is getting all of us to WAKE UP and see that we are not one another’s enemies. The inequity of our power structures and the few who benefit at the cost of the masses is the problem.
I am Italian too, and I hope Luigi after getting a fair trial co- leads a movement , run for politics, he talked about his agency, now is when, people has huge expectations of him.
The Lady is so right on. This billionaire class is only c🎉oncerned about their billionaire members. The rest of us, have no value, and our lives can be cut short , by these billionaires for their greed and personal profits.
@@Thyalwaysseek Same can be said for 99% of politicians because we, the people, have allowed the rich to dictate how we demand better from our 'representatives.' For example, the working class people don't unite and say: "We demand a Green New Deal, Universal Basic Services, Housing, Healthcare, Education, Transportation for all, cancelling all student and medical debt and rapid end to fossil fuel subsidies and steep tax on the billionaire class of 100% because inequality is deeply unhealthy. And we will only vote for candidates or parties that pledge to follow through on these demands or we will run our own candidates." - We don't do that, do we? We let political emotions get in our way, we divide ourselves, we don't listen to facts and we forget the BILLIONAIRES and the capitalist system is the root problem (many don't even know that). So, I'm much more concerned about the masses of people being educated on the fact that the system is the sickness and the billionaires are the most outrageous hoarders and exploiters of the people and we should work together to create a better system and demand an end to billionaires, end to mass inequality and to the capitalist mode of economics. And if we are saying that, we need to offer a viable alternative, a mutual aid network of some sort that people can reliably turn to in times of need so that the uncomfortable truth doesn't get met with hopelessness. That's the key ingredient the social change movements have missed. They haven't built up a robust mutual aid network and worker's united movement to support worker strikes against unjust corporate or state powers. If we do anything next 4 years, it is to be more educated and activated in building mutual aid networks and organizing along class lines. Some resources include: Workers Strike Back, Mutual Aid Networks, TZM and Revolution Now podcast, One Small Town initiative and Anark with Cooperation Tulsa or Cooperation Jackson.

Yes The convid plandemic intentionally made millionaires & billionaires financially wealthier while so many working people lost their jobs, businesses, livelihoods... All the bigbox stores stayed open while mom & pop shops were shut down in Canada And people continue making Amazon Jeff Bezos wealthier We're living the "Fight Club" pre-packaged cubicle lifestyle
Good ideas, but how? What organizations can people turn to in order to support that goal? Because for the working class masses who are a living paycheck to paycheck, they cannot just simply not buy from Wal-Mart because they 'should' support local, when local is more expensive and harder to find than Wal-Mart. We need to create reliable better alternative, a better mutual aid network, or else the masses will not change behaviour if they are struggling to survive.
Good luck with that. While a good mindset to have, it's been made nearly impossible by monopoly control of production and supply chains. Even if the retailer is local, most of the products and materials likely won't be.
@ you are correct, the mindset is right but the monopolies make it so hard. We need a systemic change movement. Have you seen TZM and Revolution Now podcast with Peter Joseph?

Dying from denied healthcare claims should be called terminal stage capitalism. Luigi just showed the other side what that kind of health insuarnace is like.
Great point…”terminal stage Capitalism” ….. people are dying in masses, but the greedy, powers-that-be have made this LEGAL….therefore they are protected and have no issue being part of a system that literally kills and causes suffering to countless Americans as long as they’re getting rich. What Luigi did may be considered illegal in the eyes of our skewed justice system, but his actions were 100% justified!!
I love how upset the rich people get when it's one of them. The outrage they're showing remind of the parents of all the kids who have been murdered in school. Thoughts and prayers.
Stop supporting all the CEO's that are problematic to your lived experience. Boycott anything "BIG" by shopping local & small. Will it be hard to detox from easy shopping? Yes. But worth it
Grocery shopping would be difficult, as 95% II f grocers are corporate. Though, there's farmer's markets. For other goods, it's much easier to shop local and small.
Here from Canada where we did a boycott of our largest grocer this year. You just need to cut into their profit margins, which a relatively small dedicated group of boycotters can achieve (it may involve shopping at another gross corporation for a time-the point is to show that we CAN make them feel it, and we CAN punish our own egregious exploitation… divide and conquer THEM) ✊
They are doing their stuff because they have acquired themselves a nice practical monopoly. But there are always some gears one could theoretically throw some sand between to reduce the profits but this is only theoretical speculation.
People who are above the law--the rich and powerful--should understand that they can still face rough justice. Mangione reminds them to be afraid and gives them a reason to clean up their act.

Someone posted a vid telling the poor scared CEOs to carry around bulletproof backpacks stating "if kids can do it, they can do it". Really shows where their priorities lie
Great discussion! I want to highlight the concept of jury nullification-jurors can acquit a defendant if they believe the law is unjust or improperly applied. In Luigi Mangione's case, it's particularly relevant. However, the way Luigi was handled during his perp walk-surrounded by officers in bulletproof vests while he was left exposed-raises serious concerns. It almost seemed like he was being set up as a target. Given the high stakes for CEOs who may be implicated by this trial, there's a real risk of retaliation to silence Luigi and prevent their own prosecution. Kudos to Jamie Peck for her dedication and excellent work in organizing Luigi's defense and shedding light on these critical issues. We need more voices like hers advocating for justice. Oh, and by the way, I think Luigi's supporters should start chanting 'Jury Nullification' instead of 'Free Luigi.' This approach could enlighten those unaware of this powerful legal step and possibly influence future jurors, but hey, that's just me thinking outside the jury box
@@ElGatoBlanco1970 Great point! Gary Plauché's case is a tragic example of how deeply personal and intense these situations can become. It's a stark reminder of why we need to ensure justice is served fairly and transparently. Luigi's situation is different, but the underlying concerns about safety and justice are very real. Thanks for bringing that up.

Have been posting EAT THE RICH !! 😊
@@guppy0536 what does the phrase 'eat the rich' mean and it's origin?
-- source: Gemini 1.5 free version :
The phrase "Eat the Rich" is a provocative slogan that expresses extreme frustration with economic inequality.
Meaning: It's a metaphor for class conflict and a demand for wealth redistribution. It suggests that when the gap between the rich and the poor becomes too vast, the poor may resort to violence or extreme measures to reclaim wealth and resources.
Origin: The phrase is often attributed to the French philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, who during the French Revolution is said to have stated: "When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich."
Modern Usage: "Eat the Rich" has resurfaced in recent years as a rallying cry for social and economic justice movements, particularly in response to increasing wealth inequality and perceived injustices within capitalist systems.
Important Note: It's crucial to understand that "Eat the Rich" is a highly symbolic and controversial phrase. It does not literally advocate for violence or cannibalism.

The Lady is so right on. This billionaire class is only c🎉oncerned about their billionaire members. The rest of us, have no value, and our lives can be cut short , by these billionaires for their greed and personal profits.
Same can be said for politicians.

Here from Canada where we did a boycott of our largest grocer this year.

Luigi was only the first, he has our support, not guilty in a NYC trial! The class war has begun
Foolish.
@@Thyalwaysseek yes your comment is
@@dankirk6452 So you want a lawless shthole for a country then? Well then that's what you'll get so don't cry about it when it's you or your family on the wrong side of a system that does not abide by any rule of law.
@@Thyalwaysseek openly calling for a civil war IS absolutely foolish
@@FlanaFugue 😂😂😂😂 you're so out of touch.
Look what just happened to the OpenAI whistleblower!!! I’m worried about Luigi!!! The Corporate Overlords are violent and corrupt!!!
don't worry because if anything happens to him can you imagine what it would unleash?!!!
I’m old, Luigi is a HERO!!!!!!!!
The internet, we need to show up to court and say, “I am Luigi”--would they jail all of us?
I've been asking "what next"? I'm ready to join a movement. I'm ready to picket in the streets. How do we find protests near us? And how do we organize when social media is trying to keep us all quiet and compliant?
Write your representative, and spread the word on social media, the msm is in on it. threaten to vote for someone who will stop the legalised murder by the healthcare industry now.
If everyone threatened to stop donating money during the election cycle they would listen, together we are much more powerful and hold the purse strings.
Picketing doesn't work.
@ yeah, I've noticed comments of this nature getting deleted. I think that we have to remember it's the corporate billionaire class which owns social media and they want to keep tight control over any populace messaging. And fantastic book! I know Ayn Rand can be a divisive figure but the book is worth reading regardless
@@deirdrekiely6187 I don't disagree, but I don't know what else to do and I'm open to ideas. We can't let this moment fizzle out and become blind once again to the suffering and death of Americans at the hands of our predatory healthcare system
Yeah it doesn't because there already trying to stop trump that's what these protesters are not understanding you don't want to be loud like trump when your signing bills and voting on stuff vote on stuff quietly when trump isn't paying attention you would be surprised how judges make better calls on people lives then jurys. I voted on a lot of different measure to stop project 2025 there's this thing in his proposals I have read yet to stop him from becoming a king that's why trump is mad.
not understanding they're a little bit too focused on lugi and watch what the politicians do to prevent terrorists from taking over you vote on things quietly, boycott businesses that support trump or Elon and you have to defund them..they Aldo domy stop to think that if he's playing with the Treasury department they could probably sue him anyway for pushing to defund social security that would have caused some kind of war.
Donated & will keep donating every time i get paid- that’s the very least i can do. Also, let’s organize a peaceful protest calling on future jury for declaring JURY NULLIFICATION!
Free Luigi free Luigi!!!
No, he a murderer and a terrorist. He belongs in jail.

We couldn’t get medical for all during a pandemic. I was KICKED OFF my medical insurance during the pandemic because I wasn’t working due to government shutdowns of our society.
That is So Right. Thank you for this post.
Corporate government. Western economy is based on scarcity among many other things.
So you think it's acceptable to go and murder people because of this?
You're here, the right place. So very sorry for you as well as millions of other victims.
So sorry to hear that
Tempory insanity, I'd vote not guilty. It was a community service.
I literally LOL'd 🤣🤣🤣
Laughter is the last refuge of a condemned man. Sometimes I feel it's the only way we get frated this
He don't need to do insane plea. The play is to gain Jury Sympathy and cause a mistrial or Aquital. Aquital would be better because they wouldn't be able to prosecute him for it again but mistrial is easier
This young man has had chronic pain for many many years and surgery. Chronic pain affects your mental health as well as your physical health! You come to a breaking point. I think this young man and he did reach that point. And he’s probably a sensitive, caring, loving human being and I were his lawyer I would also claim temporary insanity! But I do not think that a jury of his peers will convict him either! He’s got an excellent lawyer.
If he does get convicted, tops maybe 4 or 5yrs and then release early for good behavior 😊 then in 8yrs he can be president.
My ENTIRE family stands with Luigi. Capital punishment exists in America, we can't understand the difference in the loss of a life. Some ppl dont deserve life, especially when taking MANY Others, in a sense playing God themselves. So then when, America, is it ok to play God? Make it make sense
Free LUIGI!!!!
Free Luigi !!!! Jury nullification will prevail 😂😂😂😂

That woman holding up the paper with all the CEO's did a great job of giving the movement PR. Worried CEO's is almost a relief for those of us calling for Universal Health Care for years.
You're projecting worry, they don't have it. One guy does not a movement make. We already knew Italians were the only Americans with balls of their own anyhow.
Right? Like now people are going to want to know that creator of this movement is James Harr of the brand “Socialist Apparel”.
And that his handle is Comrade.workwear ~
A sympathetic, reasonable jury should acquit. Luigi's no criminal.
The courts allow this behavior to take place, that is the root of the problem.
True, very true!
I used to listen to MTN, Michael Popok, and Glenn Kirshner but NO more.
LAWERS, judges , SC, and court reporters also , bailiffs etc making money (and tax implications and in the above characters the money greatly varies
Becos the court system is corrupt also!!!
she is right this is not done!
La Fayette left clear messages, warnings and goals with Franklin and Washington about these creeps
Woe to them who call evil good and good evil.
Jury NULLIFICATION..

So glad Jamie organized this!
