for anyone wondering, the last clip of the dude with the drone: he is sitting on something called "giants causeway." it is a natural landform off of the nothern coast of ireland that was created by lava inching towards the coast and that turning into those columns when the lava met the water. they all have 5-7 sides and some reach 300 feet.

I remember reading about the ethically-sourced meat in a pre-teen's magazine called Muse! One reader later replied in the letters section about how they were concerned this might put their family out of business... (their dad was a farmer.)
Things change over time and that tends to happen. My parents had an extremely profitable grocery store... until large supermarkets started cropping up all over the place. Thing is, though, if my dad had been smarter, he could've expanded and be one of the first to get into larger scale stores. Everything evolves, and so must we.

Who is to say cats and dogs don't have their own logical and valid perceptions of reality, without the complex communication genes we have to describe their reality? In essence, if you just consider the fact that animals are equally living through an experience comparable to our own, it is valid enough to compare killing an animal to murder.
If anything, accepting that animals are inferior beings and ignoring their killings in order to enjoy meat without considering the sacrifice is closer to dissociation of reality then questioning the morality of animal killing is. We as a species tend to de-value the existence of others for various convenient purposes, slavery in america is an excellent example, but I would argue enslavement of animals is too.

If lab-grown meat becomes a huge thing, then I'm sure some places producing it would still treat the animals poorly, all under the guise of being 'vegan.'

I love how not that many people realize that opossums are EXTREMELY nasty. They carry so many awful diseases. And They would rip your hand apart if you ever tried something like that. Never get close to opossums, they are giant rats. Handle them with gloves.

@@heyPeter234 Can't fully agree here. It takes a LOT for an opossum to fight you. 9 out of 10 times it'll play dead just like the one in the video. It's only if you start hurting it that it might try to bite to get away. But gloves are a good idea regardless because they often carry parasites and you don't want that on your hands. And don't drop the "O" because possums (australian) are cuties and I bet they are offended by the comparison.

I suppose it depends what kind of lifestyle the Cow had to me. I know many vegans would have opposed it but a cow that gets to graze grass all day and then gets poked with a small needle once a day to produce a couple pounds of meat would been a ok with old vegan me.
Now that's a pretty Rosey picture though. If the cow lived in factory farm arguably it wouldn't be happy as I could be and old vegan me would still have opposed it.
