A tour would be interesting to watch. I am a full blooded American and I didn't even know that Uncle Sam was a real person. Seems like they should have taught us that in school! Interesting old historic grave yard, that was fun to see. Thanks for sharing
Well it shows you are never too old to learn, I am 70, and my husband is 75 but we didn’t know that Uncle Sam was depicted from a real person 🇬🇧😲😲. Would love to see the rest of the cemetery. Thank you ❤❤
I can't thank you enough for the tour of the cemetery. I had goose bumps just thinking of all the history there. Yes take the tour please. God be with you on your adventures.
I guess there was a man named Samuel Wilson who had a meat packing plant during the war and he fed a lot of military men. He was referred to by his friends as Uncle Sam. Hence the name.
That is the prettiest cemetery I've ever seen. Looks fascinating and those buildings are beautiful. Appreciate the tour of the place after a very simple unclogging this time. It's been a long day for me and the sound of the running water almost had me drowsing! I'm another of your overseas subscribers so I wasn't aware that Uncle Sam was actually a real person. Thanks for an interesting video, the second camera makes a big difference.
Thank you for sharing the history and this beautiful piece of land. Always enjoy watching your videos. And like others have said I didn't know Uncle Sam was a real person either just thought it was a slogan.
Here in my hometown in The Netherlands we also have a cemetery with very old graves. If I remember correctly the graves there are max 100 or 150 years old. The people buried were owners of textile factories and their families. My hometown used to be a famous textile town. Nowadays, we have a baseball club called Tex Town Tigers.
Great job. My question is, why don't the County workers do their job? Leave it to citizens to clean out the drains and bridges ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. This Cemetery is huge!!!! Thank you for the tour❤❤.
Fantastic video! Great job on the blockage! Love the tour of Uncle Sam’s grave. Not that I don’t watch all of your videos anyway I would love it if you could do a tour of of that and film it!
This video was very interesting! The cemetery is beautiful! I didn't realize that Uncle Sam was a real person. I think I'll do a bit of research about him. Thank you for showing his grave.
Apparently, Uncle Sam owned a meat packing plant. He supplied meat to soldiers. He stamped the barrels US-meaning property of the United States. But when someone asked a worker what the US stood for, he replied Uncle Sam. So that's how the United States got its sobriquet.
ok so I don't feel so bad now after reading comments, I didn't know Uncle Sam was a real person either. lol I'd love to see a tour of this cemetery, just the drive through was awesome, huge monuments. I love old cemeteries. Loved the waterfall at the outflow of the spillway.
Hello from Spain 😊 allways a nice video👍That cemetery is very interesting with very old graves and there is the famous Uncle Sam😮. I would like to see it but it is a bit far for me, I will visit it virtually, what is the name of the cemetery and where is it? Thanks and until next one😎🇪🇦
Yes, would love a tour of the cemetery. Also, I grew up across the river in Albany. I would love if you included a map image of a pin drop in your videos, so we know where you’re working.
Susan it rather easy to find , it's right off route 40 ( Oakwood Ave ) . If I remember correctly there is a map on the property showing you where Uncle Sam's grave is and you will see this little body of water . There is lots to see this Cemetery . If you hit there in the spring you'll see all the daffodils .
Thanks for the history lesson about Uncle Sam. Would appreciate the tour. I was going to mention to buckle your seat belt so you didn't become part of cemetery 😉. Thanks for your enjoyable videos.
I was going to say so many people don't know uncle Sam is a real person. I grew up in burgh. Lots of history. Should show them the Erie canal and herman Melville house.
Would love to see you take the tour around the cemetery. I will donate purchase so you could help pay for the ticket. Other viewers should do the same.
Will all the debris you clear eventually return to the water after one good rain? Do you move all the branches you remove to much higher ground? Good work either way.
@@Grab_your_Waders we would have traveled home on the same bus line, United Traction Bus “Manor Ave” which came up the hill on Ontario to Garner St across the bridge to Division St where I lived and the left on Reservoir to Manor. I was long gone from Cohoes by the time you were in school.

That would be a great video. Apparently Troy NY was a big deal back in the day. My son went to RPI so we have just seen a little of the town.
I’m just a few mins from campus.
It would be great if you did that. I live in Ohio and sometimes this is the only way I get to see stuff. Thank you very much. Ben
Thank you for your efforts in clearing the intake. And for showing us the real Uncle Sam, never knew he was real. 👍👍😊
My pleasure

Interesting. I’m not American, so I thought “uncle Sam” was a fictional character. Beautiful cemetery.
I AM American, and did not know Uncle Sam wasn't fictional. 😮
Yes definitely can you send that I would love to see that

Nice boots....
looks a lot like the cemetery in bangor maine that was made famous as the pet cemetery in stephen kings book

I move it to higher grounds when possible.
Please enable the CC so we can hear/see what you're saying, especially when you are near the rushing sounds of the water
Is this your local area? I've been meaning to ask where in NY you're from.🤔
I have a few relatives in Oakwood. Grew up in Cohoes.😊
wow, I lived in Cohoes as a child for many years in the late 70's early 80's
