Excellent guide! I have a bit of a timesave for you. At 1:32:50, you don't have to open the garage again to leave. You can sprint through the other exit, up the stairs and exit to the cargo yard. You then have to climb the ladder with one hand, while holding the fuel cannister with the other. You have to be somewhat quick with the climbing, but this makes it so you can avoid fighting and waiting for the garage cycle all together. Probably saves 1-2 minutes.
@@RiotMaker2424 Hi mate, thanks , though I actually know this and I think i mention it briefly, i used to this as well. But i decided not to do it as im worried some may have trouble climbing with the 1 hand and thought good chance it may get fixed ;)
@@Optinooby Didn't hear you mention it sorry, it is a bit wonky to do the one arm ladder climb at times. Our runs are pretty similar, it is a fairly linear game. I think I run more than you and take more risks, but you have better hiding spots. Running and dropping grenades is my favorite strat in insane, especially in those pesky vent sections, and running for the pulse rifle. Lifesavers. The final boss is incredibly easy compared to the rest of the game as well. He's scary fast on insane, but you can just run and heal if you get hit, pretty simple encounter to end it off! Great stuff Opti!
@RiotMaker2424 I remember with the one arm ladder, I would have to make sure you push myself onto the next step, so I would be resting on each ladder step before i let go and reached for the next. I was a bit worried about it really and also wanted to keep that hiding spot close!
Yea last boss is weird that its mega easy compared to the normal enemies.
Sounds like you have a good run mate, you should release it.....
I think further and further runs we could maybe get it below 2 hours on insane. I think if you get timing down really well for everything, the random waves may always start in the same spot etc like clockwork, so could make the run go really well

Not sure how new you are to VR but have you tried Propogation paradise hotel? I think you will really like it. Also Resi 4/Village VR, madison vr and saints and sinners.
@@karlvex Im not new to VR, i just hardly play it, maybe you could say im not mega experienced with it i guess.
Making a guide for it is quite awkward to plan. My headset was literally up, down, up, down a few times a minute as I was writing. I was thinking what they need is like a hinge system.
So instead of those pointless cameras on the front to look out in mega bad resolution, you instead just press a button and the front of the headest swivels up so you can see, but the band stays in place around your head. That would have made it so much easier, like a visor on a motorbike helmet.
Due to the awkwardness, I will only cover a game that i really want to play like this. Out of all the VR games, this is the only one so far that has really caught my attention
@@Optinooby I completely understand what you mean, as a player it makes following guides a pain too with it constantly on and off. As my better half also trophy hunts, we usually alternate between who plays and who guides. She's a trooper about it tbh.
I don't think a lot of VR devs care about trophies too much either as some of the requirements are a bit crazy or are filled with bugs like this game.
Regardless, it's a pleasant surprise to see you get this game done as a fan of the series.
You've probably thought of this but maybe voice notes could help?
I would still check out propogation paradise hotel, no plat though but it's a short and well done horror i could see you enjoying.

Great work! I've been routing the game and have found a couple OoBs (one that I think will let the player acquire the keycard without entering the facility or triggering Xenos), but I've been waiting for a community to form. (I don't run, only route.)
@@ericlockaby5466 There is a lot of bugs in this game to get OoBs, I don't speedrun exclusively mate, i mainly do walkthroughs, and the speedrun nature is just an byproduct of the optimal planning I guess
I think really this should be speedran on Story Difficulty, which I think you could easily get below 2 hours.
I dont think there is much of a VR speedrunning scene is there?
At 9:40 you can avoid the garage door closing process and fight by jumping onto the counter on the left and then from the counter to the boxes next to the truck and drop down on the other side and enter the inspection bay.
These encounters are all planned at a certain time, if i avoid an encounter right now, its possible it could get me heading up the stairs in the stairwell which could be risky. This allows me to kill 1 in the camping spor easily and then by the time the next wave spawns, im in a hiding spot at top of stairwell ready to kill the next ;)
Hope that makes sense mate, I really dont like to get caught out on Insane in an area where i have nowhere to hide so i try to plan out the wave spawns.
I actually only died once when recording this, and that was a stupid death actually
I still haven't gotten into vr gaming but one day I will.

Opti, do you plan on doing RE7’s DLC trophies in the future? They are extremely tricky, and there are barely any video formatted guides for them out there. We’re in good hands when it comes to the RE series thanks to your channel, so it’d be nice to see you back on track with more RE stuff!
yes, im working on RE7 again now slowly in the background, full guide again and DLC on PS5! You didnt see the recent community update?

Hy ... currently using your Witcher3 guide for the Platin and without your help it would impossible for me ! This game looks amazing, reminds me of Alien Isolation, A. Isolation is my favorite Horror game because i am a huge Alien fan ( old ones not the new trash ) it is just sad that they didnt made a ,, normal" Version of Rogue Incursion where you dont need VR !! Such a shame because it looks really good ...
@@eightyoneskillz Its similar to AI, like a dumbed down version and with more xenos and no stealth. Reviewers say its nothing like AI, i think they're wrong and it is, just has more enemies.
It feels like a normal version could work without changing much, so lets see what happens in the future ;)
Hey Opti ! Gonna start the speedrun tomorrow after studying your guide ! Quick question, you say in the beginning that they might release a normal PS5 version of the game, did you read that somewhere ?

There is no speedrun trophy by the way, there is a insane trophy though.
They havent said anything no, and they wont even if that is the plan as it would impact sales. If it does happen, my money would say it would be a while after Part Two releases. Its not confirmation or anything, but you can see after playing that it wouldnt be too much trouble

A VR platinum walkthrough. WHAT! Let's go. I've wanted to do Incurtion but it's been at 0.0% so I thought it was glitched. the one this is, Is there 30 boxes and 110 notes cause so matter how much I look I can't fined them all.

I'm sure if anything is fixed anyway that the spawns will be made a bit better anyway so won't feel the need to, camp so much. It's just relentless on Insane when you have x-rays coming from all directions, this was the only way i could simplify it and make it bearable as a walkthrough for others to follow.
The save room in the nest is little broken because when you reload there, x-rays are already present outside.
There are a lot more glitches than this, that I opted not to utilise. What exactly would be considered an exploit as most of these spots i camp seem legitimate?

probably not me mate as kids are teens now but yea, its tricky when your kids are young, gets easier as they get older. You with the sleepless nights at the moment, taking it in turns waking up etc for the baby?

Right now, just finished planning Frank Stone and am now recording, so hopefully a video on that in the coming days. Ive also just started on Ender Magnolia that released today ;)
The reason nothing has not really gone up lately, is due to those trophy bugs, basically 2 guides that would be up by now, are not ;(

I can't get up the stairs at 1:49:20 in the mess hall on insane difficulty so now I'm just stuck there! Any advice on this bug?
How do you mean, like an invisible wall across the whole width of the stairs? If you can get back to a save, you could save and reload, or try to get onto the railing to glitch past the glitch!!
Some railing have funny physics and you can glitch on top of them messing about near them, forward and back, crouching, wriggling etc. Doesnt always work but ive can do it on quite a few

i had a long hard think about that one, i decided not to in the end as im really not into tactical type games at all. I hoped there were ways to speed things up, but everything i read pointed to it being really slow gameplay

@@sopor0 Not yet, but Insane Mode can still be done as that works. Up to you if you want to wait though for them to potentially make it easier.
Providing the don't make it too easy, the platinum walkthrough will 2 plays, Story Difficulty 100% and then Insane like this. So Insane could be done now, but jumping in on hard with no experience is not advisable. Guess depends how hardcore you are ;)
Some masochists out there brag about how they start on the hardest difficulty.....But then they will usually complain that the game is too hard (go figure)

Kind off, like a lesser version.almost, but only slightly. And it focuses more on attaching the xenos straight up as opposed to stealth
