Even Kim Possible female characters look appealing. The Dark Queen redesign is just another generic modern cartoon female character to make the game less offensive for a democraphic that don't even play video games or care about actual good entertainment.

The visuals are vastly improved over the NES original, which I always thought looked bad, even in it's day. I just can't get over the visual butchering of BT 2020 by M$. I refuse to play it. It was really stupid considering they had a quality Rash model from Killer Instinct (3). M$ shits on their own franchises alot.

Im mixed on it , generally microsoft likes to fuck up rare software games for some reason so its possible they'll kill off perfect dark as well but it's the first AAAA game ever and they even made a whole new studio for it as well so maybe it'll at least be a solid game
@@a8333 Whenever MS makes a new studio to pointlessly continue a shooter, it always goes horribly. That being said, infiltrating office buildings like in the trailer during an ecological collapse sounds more Perfect Dark than anything, so the direction isn’t an issue. The biggest problem with Halo and Gears is that MS let hack directors hire people who hate the originals, and basically changed the games or the stories to try and meet what they perceived as modern tastes, which was misguided and pleased nobody. With everything I’ve seen on Perfect Dark 3, it seems like they totally get the original title from a theme/feeling perspective, but they absolutely have to nail the levels. If they try to go super linear or explain too much to the player on normal and hard difficulties, there’s very little reason to play it.

The same people who directed MW2, which was a pretty average game, went on to do Titanfall 1 and 2, which are significantly better. Bungie went from Halo 2 and 3 to Destiny, which is a significant step down, and everyone who stayed behind at 343 sucked miserably and delivered even worse games. The director of God of War 2 is responsible for God of War 4, which is baffling and hilarious, or it would be if it wasn’t so depressing. The staffing doesn’t really matter, so long as they can be motivated and made to perform, and what I’ve seen so far looks thematically on, it’s just a question of if they decide to fuck the game’s levels up or not.

It is not accurate to call the type of art style found in Battletoads 2020 CalArts Style. It would be more accurate to call it Algorithmic Art, the kind of inoffensive, yet inviting style that was first used for children's programming in the late 1990s (Nick Junior) but gradually found its way to advertisements then animation for older children. It can be called such because it is calculated to tick as many boxes in the Positive category for visual appeal while avoiding the most commonly cited unappealing traits, generating marginally distinct yet unremarkable character designs.

As one of the masochists who actually completed it legit as a child, I disagree with "old battletoads are just not fun to play" part. Overcoming absolute bullshit to get to see what game will throw at you next, beating one seemingly impossible section after another, raging after dying on the final levels with no continues left (level with mono wheel bike can go fuck itself), only to try again next day after school and finally beating the game in front of your friends, which makes them go "holy shit, how the fuck did you do that?", all that made it very fun and rewarding for me. There is also NES sequel called "Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team", it is not nearly as hard and has multiplayer that is actually playable. As for nu Battletoads... Maybe game itself is fun to play, but man, this art style is so repulsive, I just can't get over it. Every one I talked to about this game never played it, because it looks like one of those woke CalArts cartoons from Cartoon Network.
I managed to beat the original Battletoads thanks to Rare Replay's rewind feature. This game collection is amazing and the rewind feature is a God send for those unfair games
The biggest issue I had with Battletoads 2020 is that it didn't feel like a legit Battletoads game at all. If anything it was more of a parody of Battletoads than an actual game. While the idea of it mocking 90's reboots does sound good on paper. I feel it doesn't work for the toads and this idea would work better for Conker or Gex Gecko instead. Besides the obvious being the artstyle from a late 80's and early 90's comic book style clearly inspired off the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to all sudden looking like 2010's Cartoon Network series like Teen Titans Go or Total Drama Island. Another thing is that the Rayman Legends inspired puzzle solving platforms didn't fit the game at all and the emphasis on team work sounded good on paper was not well executed at all, often times it interfered with other players. And don't get me started on the stupid fix the space ship level as that level was completely confusing, insanely long to beat, and only through button mashing I was able to figure it out. While the toads themselves look fine, the Dark Queen looks terrible and boring. Not only they stripped away her iconic look for a cheap mash-up of Sombra (Overwatch) and Dr. Cortex (Crash Bandicoot) clearly to promote woke and SJW culture but she also got flanderized. She went from a sexy, overconfident, narcissistic, power-hungry dictator to some immature man-child. While definitely being pretty funny on screen, it's not her character at all. The worst offender of all, they removed too many elements from the original games such as jumping on giant snakes, going down a hole, race the rat, and so many others. Also the remaining original cast is absent. Notable bosses such as General Slaughter the Minotaur, Collath the Titanoboa, Big Blag the giant rat, and Robo Magmus are completely axed nor are they mention once throughout the entire game. Another one are the toad's boss, Professor Crow. They never explain what happened to him. Plus the Dark Queen was never a positive female role model to begin with. So turning her into a hero for feminist power does not work. Instead they should have used the princess they rescued from the 1st game instead and made her an ally to the Battletoads. Overall I say the Reboot is okay at best. The game is fun for the most part (minus some levels), the games cutscenes are hilarious, and I like the squash and stretch animations. I just wish they removed the Battletoads label and characters out of the game to replace it with their own original characters and made it into their own original game like Buster Bunnies or Battle Bugs. Therefore, the game would have been better received and it could have easily stood up on its own without having to stay under someone's shadow. That being said. While it is very unlikely we'll get another Battletoads game anytime soon. If we do eventually get another game. Hopefully it will be more faithful to its original source. 👊🐸🤜🐀
A sequel is a good opportunity to fix all the issues. Hope they go with a more grounded style. I want to see the battle toads like how Rash looked like in killer Instinct
Personally, I prefer the arcade version of Battletoads (alternatively known as 'Super Battletoads' in Japan, though Rare Replay simply calls it 'Battletoads Arcade'), even though it only takes around an hour to play it from start to finish, due to the gritty, yet cartoonish, graphics, the awesome soundtrack (despite the fact that you can count how many songs there are with two hands), and the gameplay feeling like a prototype to Castle Crashers. Also, while it would still require a lot of continues due to the lack of recovery items, it actually feels like you can complete the game, as oppose to the nigh-hopeless platform/racing levels in the original Battletoads.
This is gonna be good EDIT: the reason I am still such a LEGENDARY GAMER at 35 y/o is because 6 y/o me made it to the snek level in Battletoads on NES. CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, THOSE SKILLZ DON’T FADE BRUV

Got this game when it launched in 91'. Me and my cousin had a blast at 11 playing this....ahhh the time before game saves lol. I remember begging my parents to buy that game. Only to be stuck on turbo tunnel for months and only occasionally make it to the 4 level only on my last continue. So basically I paid full price to play about an hour of that game. Playing it in Co-op is damn near impossible at turbo tunnel.
Just trend-chasing, unfortunately. Seems to be the only way to make it on youtube these days unless you have really high quality content (not me, lol). I like covering modern games to an extent but they always end up being mediocre or deeply flawed. I did like RE Village though.

I played the original Battletoads on Rare Replay for the first time when it released on that collection, and even with the rewind ability I still struggling immensely! Even with the crutch of a rewind function I still had a hard time, I could not imagine trying to beat the original Battletoads without any cheats or exploits!

In the early 2000s as a kid i would go to the local Nickle-a-play arcade, Battletoads was all the way in the back and one of the very few game they had that were simply free to play due to their difficulty. Even the owners weren't insane enough to charge people 5 cents for that experience. I only tried it a few times but it was too much for my small brain.
The new battletoads is atrocious. I won't even buy it for 2$. Absolutely hate the artstyle everyone uses now. All the enemies look terrible unfun to fight against and the cringe mini games that shouldn't even be there. I'll keep playing Battletoads arcade, imo one of the best toads games, I played it enough to finish it on one life. I'm good to wait until a new toads game comes out in the future and ( hopefully ) doesn't look like Steven universe trash.
If you were a Nintendo junky in the 80s, you would've loved this game. And not using an emulator, ya might have even figured out that, again, the key to mastering the game is whacking the crows over & over, getting 1ups from crow after crow after crow after crow. If ya' haven't, ya' haven't played Battletoads. Not that fun? Incredibly fun ... Incredibly challenging ... but then I couldn't have relished completing a game more.
The only way I beat BattleToads was by going on an emulator and then playing it through in chunks, basically memorizing the game over a few days, and then beating my head into a wall over and over on the console, basically praying for the perfect run. It’s so much harder than other titles like Castlevania, Contra, and Ninja Gaiden. I fucking loved it, though. I was so excited when the sequel was announced. I had no idea it came out, and I feel like there was some conspiracy to stop me from finding out and getting really pissed off. I was actually still eagerly anticipating it until an hour ago when I saw the name of this video. With how the game looks. I’m not surprised. The art and attitude of the original games were a huge part of the appeal. It’s even worse than the new Commander Keen. This is supposed to be for super old people. Actual children don’t give a shit about BattleToads. What the fuck were they thinking?

Although i've finished NES Battletoads several times (even once on a black & white-only TV), i gotta say that Super Battletoads (Battletoads Arcade) is still the GOAT entry of the series. IMO
If you want a game with a good soundtrack, decent story, fun art style that you and your kids will like, just get Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. I got it because I love Metroidvania stuff, but my niece and nephew absolutely love the game too.

BUT if you compare it with the SNES game you will be suprised how great this game looks and how awesome the soundtrack is . The gameplay has more into it but its almost the same as the NES game with just much better graphics and controls . Maybe a bit better than new one because of its artstyle and soundtrack alone. And if we talk about the arcade game then the arcade game is definitly very muuuuuuuch better against the new Battletoads ! Bombastic soundtrack ,frantic beatem up action and also violence/gore . maybe its because i was born in the early 80's and i was at the right age, but i was able to beat battletoads on the nes after many many failed attempts. id never have the time or patience for something like that today. it was definitely a game for people with a lot of time on their hands.
You know, I'm something of a designer myself and I think this game is aesthetically awful. - There's no contrast between the characters and the background, both are hyper saturated; - The game have a lot of generic alien foes, which have nothing to do with battletoads essence; - You can make a cartooned art style, no problem, but that it's not an excuse to make a lame art style.
Good unbias review pointing all out the flaws and all the good the game has. So just like my first glance on gameplay it's good, but unlike the older titles and the art style if you don't mind you won't mind literally just for gameplay, but if the story is kinda of a commentary then yeah we got a problem there. Get it for free on game pass imho if you really wanna play it
I played battle toads over and over and over as a kid. never made it past like level 3... Of course I never gave up, and yet i never made it past level 3.. Im seeing things in your video that I never saw as kid playing this for multiple years on end.
I Loved this game growing up. played for hours with family members couldnt never beat it due to always hitting teammate which causes fighting each other, but laughing our ass off while kicking each other ass while playing. always made it to the 3rd stage with 0-1 life left without continues. But had one hell of a blast making it there while killling each other.
mini-games that add nothing to the game dont hurt the game? Id say they do. its a non-cohesive mess of stuff. What even is this? The variant levels are all bad too. A shoot em up? Stick to what the originals did. The challenge in the original games was never unfair.

I didn't even knew there was a Battletoads reboot, I actually wish I could unsee that ugly artstyle. Especially the design of the Dark Queen pisses me of-as a woman myself I'm kinda twisted about this "toning down" sexy outfits/design for female characters. On one hand I'm glad that not every woman looks like model that wears skimpy outfits(or like in One Piece, where the females are either drawn extrem sexy or extremely ugly, there's no in-between) while the male characters have "normal clothing" and not all of them are sexy(because that's real life) but on the other hand I think: 1) artistic freedom 2)many male characters also have sexist designs like having a extremely muscular body a lá Arnold Schwarzenegger, preferably a handsome looking face and no one complains about it or "censor" it like they do with the females now 3)human are visual creatures, let's be honest we all prefer playing a video game with good looking characters(ok it's always individual taste but you know what I mean) - I can speak only for myself but I prefer playing a hot woman or man instead of a ugly old tard, when I customize I always make my main character good looking(or sexy if possible), because that's what I'll mostly see in the game and I want to see something that I like. If I want to look at something undesirable for at least an hour I look in the mirror. 4)just because you don't want a character look sexy doesn't it mean you can be lazy with the design. First of, where are her boobs?? Woman have boobs, drawing a woman with boobs doesn't mean you automatically sexualise them. And that outfit is just trash, take Mortal Kombat 11 for example - they also made the outfits for characters like Kitana or Mileena less sexy that they used to, but the designs still look pretty. Even with that bad artstyle you could have come up with something better, this is is just straight up lazy. Sorry for the long rant(and sorry if I made any English mistakes, it's not my first language)
Ahgly vvymin want attention too. If they can't get it by looking attractive they will get it by being annoying or obnoxxious. That's part of why they make the main baddie and their whole art style ahgly. If you can't wow them with beauty you have to get their attention in another way.
Hey synth, I haven’t been on yt for a while for a few reasons, but if your channel does get deleted I really do think you should continue not reviewing modern games but instead start only streaming on rumble or odyssey if your channel kicks the bucket. You have a dedicated audience who will follow you there, you can make a new streaming channel/ podcast successful and you can still be an influence. Just don’t completely give up on an internet career if TH-cam is no longer an option. You can make a difference in more ways than one

I played the nes one. And I found it fun and not nearly as difficult as you say it is. TMNT was way harder. And the new one looks too boring and repetitive. I saw some one stream the game and the beat em up section dragged on too long.
Finished the original as a kid multiple times.Loved it.Not for a second I considered it extremely hard.There were others that made me invent excuses and hit friends out of rage simply because they "distracted me".
I don't often bother saying this, but I don't believe you; it is ball-crushingly hard to the point of being damn near impossible. I owned it as a kid too, and neither me nor my brother were ever able to finish over years of attempts, and no other game gave us that kind of trouble. I believe you beat it, but this "lol it's not hard" is just bullshit.
Sadly the SNES Battletoads the speed bike stage is a lot harder, I could never get to experience it since I couldn't beat the 2nd stage. The arcade Battle Toads is good and the easiest.

honestly i played battletoads snes version and its really similar to the original I think ill beat it without cheating because im an ultra masochist. I made it to the the change direction bikes in the snes version 1 level away i think. Was really depressed at the time in life so i never went through with it. I did however beat super ghouls and ghosts both times through and contra 3 on hard without bombs on original hardware
A lot of us loved these games cuz we were used to arcade games tht were designed to be unbeatable. For instance ninja gaiden is my all time favorite game but i never cpuld beat until it came out on 3ds virtual arcadr with save states. The difficulty of a game isnt that big a deal to me uf its fun to play.

@@a8333 Whenever MS makes a new studio to pointlessly continue a shooter, it always goes horribly. That being said, infiltrating office buildings like in the trailer during an ecological collapse sounds more Perfect Dark than anything, so the direction isn’t an issue. The biggest problem with Halo and Gears is that MS let hack directors hire people who hate the originals, and basically changed the games or the stories to try and meet what they perceived as modern tastes, which was misguided and pleased nobody. With everything I’ve seen on Perfect Dark 3, it seems like they totally get the original title from a theme/feeling perspective, but they absolutely have to nail the levels. If they try to go super linear or explain too much to the player on normal and hard difficulties, there’s very little reason to play it.

@@Gruntvc I’ve realized over the last little bit that staffing isn’t really everything, so long as they can be directed in a good way. The same people who directed MW2, which was a pretty average game, went on to do Titanfall 1 and 2, which are significantly better. Bungie went from Halo 2 and 3 to Destiny, which is a significant step down, and everyone who stayed behind at 343 sucked miserably and delivered even worse games. The director of God of War 2 is responsible for God of War 4, which is baffling and hilarious, or it would be if it wasn’t so depressing.
The staffing doesn’t really matter, so long as they can be motivated and made to perform, and what I’ve seen so far looks thematically on, it’s just a question of if they decide to fuck the game’s levels up or not.

It would be more accurate to call it Algorithmic Art, the kind of inoffensive, yet inviting style that was first used for children's programming in the late 1990s (Nick Junior) but gradually found its way to advertisements then animation for older children.
It can be called such because it is calculated to tick as many boxes in the Positive category for visual appeal while avoiding the most commonly cited unappealing traits, generating marginally distinct yet unremarkable character designs.

As one of the masochists who actually completed it legit as a child, I disagree with "old battletoads are just not fun to play" part.
Overcoming absolute bullshit to get to see what game will throw at you next, beating one seemingly impossible section after another, raging after dying on the final levels with no continues left (level with mono wheel bike can go fuck itself), only to try again next day after school and finally beating the game in front of your friends, which makes them go "holy shit, how the fuck did you do that?", all that made it very fun and rewarding for me.
There is also NES sequel called "Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team", it is not nearly as hard and has multiplayer that is actually playable.
As for nu Battletoads... Maybe game itself is fun to play, but man, this art style is so repulsive, I just can't get over it. Every one I talked to about this game never played it, because it looks like one of those woke CalArts cartoons from Cartoon Network.
I managed to beat the original Battletoads thanks to Rare Replay's rewind feature. This game collection is amazing and the rewind feature is a God send for those unfair games
The biggest issue I had with Battletoads 2020 is that it didn't feel like a legit Battletoads game at all. If anything it was more of a parody of Battletoads than an actual game. While the idea of it mocking 90's reboots does sound good on paper. I feel it doesn't work for the toads and this idea would work better for Conker or Gex Gecko instead.
Besides the obvious being the artstyle from a late 80's and early 90's comic book style clearly inspired off the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to all sudden looking like 2010's Cartoon Network series like Teen Titans Go or Total Drama Island. Another thing is that the Rayman Legends inspired puzzle solving platforms didn't fit the game at all and the emphasis on team work sounded good on paper was not well executed at all, often times it interfered with other players. And don't get me started on the stupid fix the space ship level as that level was completely confusing, insanely long to beat, and only through button mashing I was able to figure it out.
While the toads themselves look fine, the Dark Queen looks terrible and boring. Not only they stripped away her iconic look for a cheap mash-up of Sombra (Overwatch) and Dr. Cortex (Crash Bandicoot) clearly to promote woke and SJW culture but she also got flanderized. She went from a sexy, overconfident, narcissistic, power-hungry dictator to some immature man-child. While definitely being pretty funny on screen, it's not her character at all.
The worst offender of all, they removed too many elements from the original games such as jumping on giant snakes, going down a hole, race the rat, and so many others. Also the remaining original cast is absent. Notable bosses such as General Slaughter the Minotaur, Collath the Titanoboa, Big Blag the giant rat, and Robo Magmus are completely axed nor are they mention once throughout the entire game. Another one are the toad's boss, Professor Crow. They never explain what happened to him. Plus the Dark Queen was never a positive female role model to begin with. So turning her into a hero for feminist power does not work. Instead they should have used the princess they rescued from the 1st game instead and made her an ally to the Battletoads.
Overall I say the Reboot is okay at best. The game is fun for the most part (minus some levels), the games cutscenes are hilarious, and I like the squash and stretch animations. I just wish they removed the Battletoads label and characters out of the game to replace it with their own original characters and made it into their own original game like Buster Bunnies or Battle Bugs. Therefore, the game would have been better received and it could have easily stood up on its own without having to stay under someone's shadow.
That being said. While it is very unlikely we'll get another Battletoads game anytime soon. If we do eventually get another game. Hopefully it will be more faithful to its original source. 👊🐸🤜🐀
A sequel is a good opportunity to fix all the issues. Hope they go with a more grounded style. I want to see the battle toads like how Rash looked like in killer Instinct

Personally, I prefer the arcade version of Battletoads (alternatively known as 'Super Battletoads' in Japan, though Rare Replay simply calls it 'Battletoads Arcade'), even though it only takes around an hour to play it from start to finish, due to the gritty, yet cartoonish, graphics, the awesome soundtrack (despite the fact that you can count how many songs there are with two hands), and the gameplay feeling like a prototype to Castle Crashers. Also, while it would still require a lot of continues due to the lack of recovery items, it actually feels like you can complete the game, as oppose to the nigh-hopeless platform/racing levels in the original Battletoads.

I played the original Battletoads on Rare Replay for the first time when it released on that collection, and even with the rewind ability I still struggling immensely! Even with the crutch of a rewind function I still had a hard time, I could not imagine trying to beat the original Battletoads without any cheats or exploits!

In the early 2000s as a kid i would go to the local Nickle-a-play arcade, Battletoads was all the way in the back and one of the very few game they had that were simply free to play due to their difficulty. Even the owners weren't insane enough to charge people 5 cents for that experience. I only tried it a few times but it was too much for my small brain.

The new battletoads is atrocious. I won't even buy it for 2$. Absolutely hate the artstyle everyone uses now. I'll keep playing Battletoads arcade, imo one of the best toads games, I played it enough to finish it on one life. If you were a Nintendo junky in the 80s, you would've loved this game. And not using an emulator, ya might have even figured out that, again, the key to mastering the game is whacking the crows over & over, getting 1ups from crow after crow after crow after crow. If ya' haven't, ya' haven't played Battletoads. Not that fun? Incredibly fun ... Incredibly challenging ... but then I couldn't have relished completing a game more.
The only way I beat BattleToads was by going on an emulator and then playing it through in chunks, basically memorizing the game over a few days, and then beating my head into a wall over and over on the console, basically praying for the perfect run. It’s so much harder than other titles like Castlevania, Contra, and Ninja Gaiden.
I fucking loved it, though. I was so excited when the sequel was announced. I had no idea it came out, and I feel like there was some conspiracy to stop me from finding out and getting really pissed off. I was actually still eagerly anticipating it until an hour ago when I saw the name of this video. With how the game looks. I’m not surprised. The art and attitude of the original games were a huge part of the appeal. It’s even worse than the new Commander Keen.

Although i've finished NES Battletoads several times (even once on a black & white-only TV), i gotta say that Super Battletoads (Battletoads Arcade) is still the GOAT entry of the series. IMO
If you want a game with a good soundtrack, decent story, fun art style that you and your kids will like, just get Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. I got it because I love Metroidvania stuff, but my niece and nephew absolutely love the game too.

BUT if you compare it with the SNES game you will be suprised how great this game looks and how awesome the soundtrack is . The gameplay has more into it but its almost the same as the NES game with just much better graphics and controls . Maybe a bit better than new one because of its artstyle and soundtrack alone.

maybe its because i was born in the early 80's and i was at the right age, but i was able to beat battletoads on the nes after many many failed attempts. id never have the time or patience for something like that today. it was definitely a game for people with a lot of time on their hands.
You know, I'm something of a designer myself and I think this game is aesthetically awful.
- There's no contrast between the characters and the background, both are hyper saturated;
- The game have a lot of generic alien foes, which have nothing to do with battletoads essence;
- You can make a cartooned art style, no problem, but that it's not an excuse to make a lame art style.
Good unbias review pointing all out the flaws and all the good the game has. So just like my first glance on gameplay it's good, but unlike the older titles and the art style if you don't mind you won't mind literally just for gameplay, but if the story is kinda of a commentary then yeah we got a problem there. Get it for free on game pass imho if you really wanna play it

I Loved this game growing up. played for hours with family members couldnt never beat it due to always hitting teammate which causes fighting each other, but laughing our ass off while kicking each other ass while playing. always made it to the 3rd stage with 0-1 life left without continues. But had one hell of a blast making it there while killling each other.

I enjoy like 1/5 of Battletoads (2020). Only beat 'em up levels was good and rest not only sucks but looks like cheap indie game from 95% steam discount. I'd love to see a sequel that focuses only on the beat 'em up.

Especially the design of the Dark Queen pisses me of-as a woman myself I'm kinda twisted about this "toning down" sexy outfits/design for female characters. On one hand I'm glad that not every woman looks like model that wears skimpy outfits(or like in One Piece, where the females are either drawn extrem sexy or extremely ugly, there's no in-between) while the male characters have "normal clothing" and not all of them are sexy(because that's real life) but on the other hand I think:
1) artistic freedom
2)many male characters also have sexist designs like having a extremely muscular body a lá Arnold Schwarzenegger, preferably a handsome looking face and no one complains about it or "censor" it like they do with the females now
3)human are visual creatures, let's be honest we all prefer playing a video game with good looking characters(ok it's always individual taste but you know what I mean) - I can speak only for myself but I prefer playing a hot woman or man instead of a ugly old tard, when I customize I always make my main character good looking(or sexy if possible), because that's what I'll mostly see in the game and I want to see something that I like. If I want to look at something undesirable for at least an hour I look in the mirror.
4)just because you don't want a character look sexy doesn't it mean you can be lazy with the design. First of, where are her boobs?? Woman have boobs, drawing a woman with boobs doesn't mean you automatically sexualise them. And that outfit is just trash, take Mortal Kombat 11 for example - they also made the outfits for characters like Kitana or Mileena less sexy that they used to, but the designs still look pretty. Even with that bad artstyle you could have come up with something better, this is is just straight up lazy.

Hey synth, I haven’t been on yt for a while for a few reasons, but if your channel does get deleted I really do think you should continue not reviewing modern games but instead start only streaming on rumble or odyssey if your channel kicks the bucket. You have a dedicated audience who will follow you there, you can make a new streaming channel/ podcast successful and you can still be an influence. Just don’t completely give up on an internet career if TH-cam is no longer an option. You can make a difference in more ways than one

I don't often bother saying this, but I don't believe you; it is ball-crushingly hard to the point of being damn near impossible. I owned it as a kid too, and neither me nor my brother were ever able to finish over years of attempts, and no other game gave us that kind of trouble. I believe you beat it, but this "lol it's not hard" is just bullshit.

Sadly the SNES Battletoads the speed bike stage is a lot harder, I could never get to experience it since I couldn't beat the 2nd stage. The arcade Battle Toads is good and the easiest.

honestly i played battletoads snes version and its really similar to the original I think ill beat it without cheating because im an ultra masochist. I made it to the the change direction bikes in the snes version 1 level away i think. Was really depressed at the time in life so i never went through with it. I did however beat super ghouls and ghosts both times through and contra 3 on hard without bombs on original hardware

For instance ninja gaiden is my all time favorite game but i never cpuld beat until it came out on 3ds virtual arcadr with save states. The difficulty of a game isnt that big a deal to me uf its fun to play.
