Nice video. Do you have any tips on how to get the window down when its stuck in the upper position? It looks like i am unable to manually push it down.
When it comes to a stuck window, it can be quite tricky. If it's not budging manually, it might be best to consult a professional to avoid causing any damage. They'll have the right tools and expertise to safely address the issue. Stay safe and best of luck with fixing your window!
To get more views i would've included the model and year range of the bmw, as people will search for information related to the similar model they own, as this is a common item to fail on the osf, as most used ,and glass gets tight in weatherstrips if not lubricated occasionally which puts regulator cable under more tension and stess.....
It all depends if the motor works, I would remove the motor and just plug it in on it own and see if it works, if it does then it might be the cable inside the door, a lot of 2nd hand regulators come with the motor, so just replace the lot, but could be a fuse so just take your time and test all the components first
Hey mate how did you get the window down, did you manually push it down with force or did you release the white clips first? Struggling to get it down at all lol
No the window moved down just enough for me to get to the white clips because the cable had snapped so not under tension. Just a thought if you remove the motor, that should help you can manually move the window as there’s no tension on the cables good luck 🤞

I hear no noise when pressing the button to go up or down, does this mean the motor is toast?
