But genuine question. My friends and I started a band not long before going into quarantine and I'm on lyrics and playing guitar. Only problem is I can't write guitar parts for shit so I have nothing to put the lyrics to. Any advice?
@@MrShedom8 that's the easier part. Lyrics can be literally anything. Some of my favourite songs have some lyrics that don't make any sense. What I did though is I wrote a few things based on plots of films and books and starting with a quote from them. That way I atleast had a starting point
@@lochlannturner4086 I just come up with the key I want it to be I'm and start playing notes in it until I get something I like for lead, and for the rythm just take a chord progression from that key that will sound good played under lead. You can look up chord or progressions if you want to give it a certain vibe too. Sorry, this is far from professional help, but it might be a good place to start.
@@MrShedom8 if you write good guitar parts then try to find the emotion your conveying with the instrumental and center your lyrics around that. Might help.

I don't know how many PUP fans appreciate the theory behind the music they make but it's soooo cool. Especially the modulation at the end which could have very well been just made up and not done with a set idea, but it sounds like on the beat after "both" at 3:09, there's a sort of 4/8 measure followed by 3/4 measures but the quarter note being the same as the dotted eighth note from before (assuming most of the song is in 6/8 or 3/8, not 6/4 or 3/4). Really interesting

They historically have about two or three years between albums but that doesn’t mean they didn’t record a new one. A new album might come out later half next year I think.
I mean, i still enjoy morbid stuff, like, A LOT, but woundnt mind a new album soon. I just think they need to take the time they need to come out with a amazing album like this.
