Robot Wars Series 4 Northern Annihilator

- During the original run of series 4, 5 special episodes were aired over the festive period. This episode was the first one to feature the Annihilator, a 6 way melee where the roboteers were battleing for their survival and the title as the Northern Annihiliator champion. Teams competing in the episode are Spikasaurus, Killerhurtz, Dominator 2, Stinger, Chaos 2 and Suicidal Tendencies.
Who will win this epic brawl?

What a superb effort from Killerhurtz, got severely picked on in every round but was directly responsible for knocking out both Stinger and Chaos 2, even fought back against Dominator 2 and Spikesaurus with dogged determination
Killerhurtz was great, I'm impressed that robot self-rights at all given its weapon and shape.
I think it was an axe blow from Dominator 2 that did Stinger in though, it drove okay after that initial Killerhurtz charge and then got a whack from Dominator near the axle not long after and started spinning.
Funny that Dominator 2 does that little axe jab after they've pulled it out of their target, just to get extra hits.

Such a shame that an action-packed Annihilator - the first of its kind - ended with an inferior robot winning for no other reason other than the fact its opponent broke down for a separate reason. Not that I’d change the decision when the purpose of battle is to be the one that survives, but it ideally should require some proper earning rather than sheer dumb luck.
Suicidal Tendencies is seeded 32, not 31.
Way to ruin the entertainment value for everyone: gang up on the robot everyone wants to see most :/

The worst robot won
Oh well, that's just the way bad luck strikes sometimes. And it's not like the Spikasaurus team pulled any underhanded tactics to win.
Maybe, but they were a good robot. Their only problem is that they can't remove the spikes. They should have made the spikes retractable and they could've been a contender.
The problem is the most boring robot won, so pretty much everyone feels badly about it.
Chaos 2 got gang-raped and went out prematurely; this is how to ensure that Robot Wars has as few awesome clips as possible. I remember pretty much every awesome thing that's ever happened in Robot Wars because unfortunately there weren't that many. If they'd formatted things a little bit better, made better judges' decisions and people hadn't ganged up on each other, there would have been more than twice as many amazing moments. Could explain why they stopped when they did :( massive shame, this is one of my favourite shows of all time.
@@randomchicken01 Tbf, while the "Northern" (half the robots are from the south) Annihilator was utter shite, the Southern Annihilator was an absolute bloodbath. I think it's a bit harsh to say barely any awesome moments happened in Robot Wars when in reality there were a lot of really good moments. This Annihilator is an outlier.
@@BambiTrout Sorry, I might have said that in a misleading way, I wasn't trying to say there was a massive shortage of awesome moments, just that there weren't THAT many given that the show ran for years and there were some absolutely devastating robots.
What I meant is more that given the amazing destructive power of some of the robots, there definitely could have been way, way, way more awesome clips.
A lot of this was due to the truly destructive robots having design flaws which led to them breaking down early (think Razer, 259, etc.), but unfortunately a lot of it was due to poor formatting and ridiculous judges' decisions.
