We should start using the terminology "pro-government control" or "anti-government control" of reproduction.
Returning to the Jan 6 case narrative is not a good idea for Dems. First, a lot of the public views these prosecutions as political. The fact is that Democrats leaned way too much into this with the plethora of suits filed based on questionable legal theories and by prosecutors who ran on getting Trump. The latest Jack Smith filing also contains very little new info. Sure, It resonates with Harris' base and the folks on MSNBC, but I don't think as much with independent voters. Second, to that end, it would look like the Harris campaign is trying to change the subject from the most critical issues to likely voters: the economy and immigration. It would highlight that Harris is part of the current administration that has faltered terribly in these areas, and she would rather talk about something else.
This is an insane take. Log off.
This is how the law works. Only people who don't understand the effects of SCOTUS rulings or that DOJ operates independently from political parties, campaigns or candidates. It's more logical to suppose that people would like to see EVERYONE behind the January 6th riot tried in a court of law.
Donald Trump's constant interference with this case has been an obvious delaying tactic, not an exoneration.
As for the abundance of court cases you mention, I guess you mean all the pointless MAGA lawsuits hoping to overturn the actual results of the 2020 election. Completely separate cases. They lost.
I think interested voters can handle complexity and new information. The uninterested will be among those who didn't track this in the first place.

Listening to the postcast on the app pocketcase and I had to switch over the TH-cam video because on audio Libby Casey comes off as rude. On video you can see the tongue and cheek of Libby remarks. But on audio only she's interjects at the worst time and cuts people off and puts them down. I was very interested in the history of October surprises, Rhonda Colvin was raising a good point about the role of a VP. Not something to make light of. I was a bit annoyed that Libby was not letting people finish. But when I watched the video I could see the cordial banter.
