“Just because it’s vegan doesn’t mean it’s healthy” - understatement of the year from Mark
Just because it’s vegan it CANT be healthy
And most new vegans don't stay vegans long anyway ...its a flash in the pan trend
Correct. It’s often worse for you.
veggans are some of the most unhealthy people
@@ceedub619cameraman3 consumer choices for anti- animal cruelty has always been growing exponentially for years, it’s something that we will only see more of for years to come
Update on the company. All locations are closed and they instead invested in a Savvy Sliders to take over one of the locations. All the other locations are abandoned/closed
Great news
@@basicallytroll2705well you sure live up to your name
@@FANOFWAR34 And you don't
Wow,barbara is right
Any idea why being "too fast" will probably resulting to this?aside from potential downtrend of the product?
@@joboilibres9593Barbara has the best instincts of all the sharks
All the concerns are valid but I'm very impressed how much this dude accomplished so fast all by himself. I believe his mistake was how little of his company he was giving up. 5% is too little for what he was asking for
That’s why he’s broke lost everything except the 6 locations in Texas
@@Rgla21 "except 6 locations" 23k a week? with 30% profit margins, dude is still making bank lol.
@@IWantToBeInOVO I live in San Antonio and all the locations closed here. It was kind of a joke in the city because people would walk in thinking they would eat some chicken and then walk out immediately upon finding out it was plant based. He even opened a location that sold both plant and normal chicken (against his "mission") but by that time his first impression with the customer base was tainted. He now only has his original Austin location. Good for him but yeah, definitely not a good idea to open locations en masse with a company policy of tricking customers into the door and hoping they forgive you for it.
@@greasyguidothis sounds like someone who is more about the journey than the destination. In addition to that - he is obsessed with being non meat or vegan and used the name Pollo to try and trick the customer which is a mistake
bro is actually worth 50m now@@IWantToBeInOVO
“im looking for a partner” but for 5%
💯🤔 you might get in bed with Kevin Hart and then P Diddy next😮
Unfortunately, Barbara Corcoran's concerns held validity. Though Project Pollo experienced rapid growth before appearing on "Shark Tank," it wasn't sustainable, and several locations ultimately had to close. In a March 10 Instagram post, Lucas Bradbury shared that he planned to keep growing the company, "but only when leadership and market are ready." It seems that Bradbury's dream of serving exclusively plant-based meat alternatives wasn't fully sustainable, either; he launched Side Chicks, which serves real chicken versions of Project Pollo's food, in February 2023.
😂😂😂😂
Good.
LMAO
😂😂😂😂
Actually, the reason why so many locations closed is cause they were working on selling the entire company, which they eventually did in April. Final exit price is undisclosed but I'm assuming it was was at a profit cause the founder did not have that many investments or debt. Probably was his plan all along. Much different than the Tom & Chee example Barbara brought up
This guy hasn’t even made 5mil in Revenue but he values his company at 50mil😂
It was only one problem I think: he asked for too much money. Should ask $500-750K for 5% and then work with adjustments. Less money meaning you will be growing slower but less risk
Not really, he gave them too little for that money. 2.5 mln for 25% would be OK.
even that's way too much
That's the one thing that I don't like about this show. The Sharks almost always have a problem with Valuation and most of the time, they offer a deal for a Valuation that's 50-75% less than what the person Pitching is asking for. But sometimes they don't even bother, they're just like "too high, I'm out".
It’s really insulting to the sharks to be asking so much for so little. Especially when you have another investor at a $17.5mil valuation.
That investor could be his dad. Or just an bad investor with numbers..
@@liveextreme0317they verify it after the fact
the investment taken would havebeen in the previous year when the sales might not have been that high
@@liveextreme0317 the company is not worth 50 millions though and had a 10 millions income
Probably a VC with too much money. Everyone has different views on valuation and the previous investor probably saw more from Vegan / Plant based foods. The sharks were more realistic about its prospect and they were right given the business mostly failed.
Thank you whoever has the job of putting up the little graphic to quietly tell you what QSR stands for in the background! ☺️

Kevin Hart is out, but a few years later opened his own plant based restaurants in LA with the same concept 😭 I’ve tried project polo and hart house, both are 10/10

Yeah billionaires do that. Companies have to be careful because I remember when one company that turned ashes into jewelry came on and after they left mark said he was going to contact a guy to see if he could build the same business.
Now we know where Kevin got the idea from
Update on this, the company was sold and seemingly all locations have closed
Lmfao 😂😂😂
But it’s just what this country needs, more fast food places, one for every man, woman and child

Well maybe read up more about that, this guy actually got bought out by a national franchise chain, he made millions, and it’s the franchise company who are closing some locations themselves. 😂
So them who have bought it know more about the food industry than me or you.

this time, Barbara actually gave a valid reason that makes perfect sense to go out..
Took the money without the wife knowing...i bet the sharks were excited to get involved with someone who kept his own wife in the dark about money..
i heard that too. how can you trust a partner when you are dealing with a bunch of secrets????
Yeah still don’t know how they glanced over that 😂

Every time an entrepreneur comes to the show with that valuation, he's not trying to make a deal. He just wants exposure.

He asked $50 million valuation so I strongly disagree. Totally crazy number with his sales.

Did you get offended and triggered by the product 🤣🤣
Yeah, carcinogens, igf-1, cholesterol, endocrine disrupting pollutants, hormones are so necessary for health, lmao

It can be though. Depends on the quality/handling of the meat and the ingredients of the plant based
@@fukhyu3330never ever. Every single plant based product uses seed oils and processing methods. Organic, farm fresh meat, is straight farm to table. Plant based will never be healthier or even equal to meat.
