ahhh it's so cute 💖 but my petals all look so flat! i don't have that yarn you're using and i've tried 3 different types of yarn making the first pentagon- i tried stretching, pinching, and folding the yarn, i tried having a looser tension, and even used a bigger hook and still my petals look nowhere near as fluffy as yours! so i'm assuming it must be the yarn. 😭

When you pull up a loop make sure you pull till it's the height of chain 3, watch other puff flower tutorials it works the exact same way,it should become puffy

i did figure it out. i did the regular puff flower method i found in a tutorial (doing it like in this video and only pulling it up to the chain height wasn't enough to give that puffy look) and then after i finished them all, i just slipstitched a chain 3 in the stitch at the top of each puff to still have the chain spaces needed to make the shapes.
