Astronaut : Oh stupid gravity.
The best part is how confused he looks when the pen and cup aren't right where he left them, and the first place he looks for them is up. Hahaha. Hilarious.
MegaKaitouKID1412 For an astronaut he's a good actor huh?
I don't see any acting...
Read the descreption, this is an act.
It doesn't say that in the description...
nitpicker here: he's not looking for them UP. he's looking fir them ALONG THE MOST LIKELY FORWARD MOTION VECTOR THEY WOULD TAKE.
Two very different things.
Say what you want, but he's a really down to earth kind of guy.
Well now yea

I really wonder if Tom's reaction there is just scripted for the gag, or if that was real.
[edit]
Okay. After watching some more zero-G vids, it's pretty clear this is all real xD
Nyerguds it says in video description it is satirical series.
Gherragh Doesn't mean the astronaut's reaction isn't real; just that they're using it as humour here. It's perfectly possible they never _had_ to script this, but instead used a real interview piece that ended up on the cutting floor because this kind of thing happened in it.
Nyerguds nope that wouldn't be satire.
Schreddermann It's still "laughing at themselves". How they create it is hardly relevant ;)
for it to be satire it is relevant.
and satire doesn't mean laughing at your/themselves
It's weirdly so much more convincing with the sound off.
This is by far one of my favourite videos. Makes me laugh every time.
I love how he ignored the fact that they make noise when they hit the ground
“Stupid Gravity”
Directors of G R A V I T Y: Are we a joke to u?!
this is peak gravity, the way no context is needed. the way we don’t even look for the context anyway because let’s be honest, none of us were listening to him speak. the way he’s so genuine, even if staged. honestly,
I’m rewatching this cause I had seen this resurfaced somewhere on TH-cam, it never gets old
If you're watching this 7 years later, you're a legend.

Still remember the old man on my town port who sailed on sea for two years straight without touching land.
It took him a week and half to get adjusted from his "landsick"
If he were out in public doing things like that, people would think he had dementia.
Thats why he is an Astronaut and not a comedian.
Lmaooo
What would be your type of humour? Pewdiepie rage compilations, like what's on your channel?

When you turned off creative mode
Tom Marshburn and Chris Hadfield made quite a pair while they were up there in the ISS. I always enjoy to hear from them and this joke about gravity shows clearly what happens on the first days following the return to ground. It was fun. Great video.

This video lives in my head rent free.
Only reason why I thought this may not have been real is because when he drops the mug it makes a huge THUD which would kinda tell you it's hit the floor, but he still looks up after. (Even if it isn't scripted I would believe that they do react like that afterwards anyways, even if this was just a re-creation)
If you read the description you'll notice that it is indeed scripted, but astronauts do experience this! :D
Even if it weren't scripted, they are used to thuds as space debris vaporises against the kevlar outside their crafts.
kirknay can confirm through astronauts I’ve met
@@doraaaa0613The young guy in the beginning is a student and scripted, the actual astronaut clip that he shows is not.
What is your flex?
Tom: drop a cup and a pen.
I love how he immediately looks up instead of down after he drops something xD Stupid gravity....
The fact that this is a skit but it looks so real is crazy
Imagine if when he got back, NASA hands him a very very expensive and fragile piece of technological equipment and then he just drops it
I dont know how but ive watched this like 20 times in a row
A natural actor. Excellent comic timing.
This may be the best video on the entire internet
Astronauts. Literally the only people that will look up when they drop something. LOL
I love how he casualy drop the things.
I wish I could have seen less scripted examples. Anyone would have immediately noticed as soon as it dropped or made a noise.
This is true.
That's not necessarily true. He was really into what he was talking about and that was obvious. A lot of times when I'm into what I'm talking about I don't notice other noises or visuals. Also, the pen didn't make a noise.
Kaija Daniels The phenomenon they're showing in this video does indeed exist but they were trying too hard for the sake of the video. It's just that his acting isn't very good and the premise of him telling a story like he would in space is a little bad as well.

Context to the 2nd clip: The 2nd clip was a satire, most of the people who didn't watched the original thinks that it was intentional, even if you look at the comments of the original video

Just imagine retiring as a registered nurse, using all your income/salary to pay rent and tax without any good investment or means of extra cash, tending to leave your profession/job that has been part of you for many years with no good funds. How will you cope?
This is actually what most families are going through, tax and rents takes almost what they got monthly, leaving them with no savings
That's why we need to plan ourselves via making extras in all we do because depending on paycheck that can give us our comfort and peace till we die is not guaranteed
I'm a nurse and I saw all this coming, so l've planned myself so I engaged in forex trading, little I know about the business though but so far so good, Forex trading has been my very means of savings lately while my salary goes for bills and utilities
I've heard a lot complaining about how unsafe crypto and Forex trading is but honestly speaking, if you don't experience you won't know, I've seen the bad and the good part of Forex trading
Investing in stocks and Crypto market is the best financial decision anyone can make but the crypto market is much more better than anything else at the moment

How didn't he hear it dropping? I call scripted.
Kinda obvious that it is scripted, in the description: "Satirical series"
This legit made my night
Anyone from tiktok?😏
I don't blame him, being in space for some time may make you feel used to weightlessness compared to gravity which you have been in for a much longer time.
Nobody knows what satire means?
+DaFuNo I know, it's so obvious he's faking it, but it's still pretty funny
At least someone notices
You know, most adventurers don't know how to look up... Astronauts, on the other hand, forget to look *down* . An astronaut + a regular adventurer can thus take on *any* dungeon, easily, as they cover each other's weaknesses.
No shit. I guess you didn't read the description. This does actually happen to astronauts after being on the ISS though.
Just saw this on tik tok
Same
this is my favorite video
When he looked to the ceiling for he pen I lost it. xD
But there is the same amount of gravity on Earth than there is on the space shuttles and stuff, the reason that things float is because they're in a constant state of falling.
ISS is moveing 5km or miles per s so the space station is falling as the earth is curveing.
But I wouldn't say the gravity on earth is the same as in space station...
It's not exactly the same but the difference is so small that it doesn't make a noticeable difference.
elephantasmic One of the tenets of Einstein's relativity is in fact that you can't tell the difference between "real" no-gravity weightlessness and the weightlessness of freefall.
Jillian Waldman Yes but just because they feel the same isn't an excuse for using them interchangeably.
Jillian Waldman They are making the point that the pull of gravity from the Earth is only imperceptibly weaker on ISS than it is on the ground. F/E, if you built a super tall tower to ISS orbit, G at the top of the tower would be only minutely weaker than G at the base. They are *not* making any comparison between the weightlessness of freefall and the weightlessness of having no major gravity well nearby.

I wanna quote that anytime I drop something now
This will never seize to be funny.
