As an EXO'L, we had several theories about every MVs but it always change because we were sometimes wrong lol. Anyway, this was our theory. The day they dropped Monster, Lucky one mv was dropped first. In Lucky One mv, they were in a facility, like a sleek-murder facility where they're being experimented by some robots (not literally). Their powers were awoken in Lucky One and as they did it, they managed to go out there. So in Monster, they were probably in a run from authorities and all. The snake symbolizes the 'traitor' or called as "spy". We expected Chen(the guy who turned to his back) as the spy before but I think it is really Baekhyun. When they went out of the facility in Lucky One, the robots or Red Force's people were watching them and same goes to monster. You could see several CCTVs which literally mean that they're being watched. The red light from it tells us that it is the Red Force. So yeah, they were chased by authorities but Baekhyun who acted as a spy helped them in the end and they were freed. The MV after Monster was Lotto. They were a bit out of hand in there, trying to gamble, enjoy, waste money, etc. It feels like after they were freed from Monster, they decided to enjoy themselves. Now, when I say that our theories were wrong, the whole point changes. In their recent mv called obsession, there were 2 EXO. It said that the clones were in the Earth for years now. Why our theories messed up is probably because all these time, the EXO in the MVs aren't the real EXO, they are all the clones. EXO was stucked on a maze last 2014 and they haven't gone out from there thus making it seem like the EXOs in the mvs from 2015 and recent are the clones. We really don't know anymore. The whole existence of exo is a fucking story. From the very first mvs and concepts they had to now, everything is connected. Everything about exo were probably planned ahead of time. Like how their releases always happen when theres a fucking eclipse or shit like that. The mvs also have subtle clues on what happens next. That is what makes every exo comeback interesting and worth the wait. It's like an ongoing story and every comeback, every mv, every concept, is a new clue, a new chapter of the story. Not to mention their songs are always well- produced and the vocals (DAMN THE VOCALS 💯💯💯), the rap, the choreography, everything! I've been a fan since the beginning but whenever I think of the story behind everything, I still get goosebumps.

There are lots of great kpop groups. All of them work hard too, it's just that popularity takes a combination of promotion, luck, and skill so a lot are underrated. You'll understand this more when you see more kpop groups. Like, I just laugh when people are like "eww Kpop, I'd rather be deaf than listen to them" because they just ignore how hardworking and disciplined these groups are. Even the "produced group" stereotype is weird to me because I value skills developed through work more than raw talent. I appreciate that kpop groups take their jobs as real jobs that need preparation and improvement. EXO members understand that immensely. If you listen to the things they say, Lay advises trainees to take the training period seriously because when you become famous you get busy from a lot of things that aren't music related anymore (acting in shows, invitations to reality programs, events you need to attend, etc.) and so you'll be forced to have shorter preparation time for your actual music performances and you'll experience a lot of stress too. He thinks those who do well on those are the ones who prepared sufficiently during their training period. If they didn't train beforehand, more of them would probably be so stressed that they could turn to substance abuse or need mental health treatments to cope.

Explanation of Monster MV: "In here, it has something to do with time reverse, there's a time loop theory, in the MAMA MV narration, it was said that "time was overturned" so we think the sequence of the mvs are random. the concept of exo fighting the red force is also in place, as you can see, various red colors, and also in this mv, exo were captured (same in lucky one) but they escape here bc baekhyun was a double agent who pretended to be one of the enemy. Red force is supposed to be the one who went to EXOPlanet and ruled there causing EXO to go to Earth and save it, since the next target is the earth. and at the same time, red force learned about their powers so they are after them. there is also the theory that red force are in it with humans, this theory springs out from vcr's played in concerts specifically EXOluxion and pathcode teasers EXO's concept theories are really so amazing, that everything connects with everything and it's on going. so much more to see!! everytime i watch something, i'll be hoping it to be at least an answer to any of the questions in other theories, but then again it always open up to more questions. fascinating and definitely gets you hooked." They're the 1st million seller of Korea in 12 years. They're currently the record holder for most daesang (grand prize at award shows) in Korea. Their concerts are sold out in 0.2 seconds Netizen in korea dubbed it as blood ticketing. In the 1st half of 2018, they are 2nd group to have the highest revenue in kpop. 2nd only to Legendary group TVXQ. They were the closing performance for Winter Olympics. They'll be having a comeback this Nov 2.

Like BTS , EXO and other groups work extremely hard all year round with barely any rest. They've all live together in the company dorms and grew up that way. They practice for hours, record for hours, they also are actors so they do dramas and movies, commercials, variety shows, game shows, soundtracks, and also side solo work.

Many might not know but SM Entertainment was the first to do those dance practice videos in KPop (Male group Shinhwa's Only One in 2000). I'm not bragging or saying that the others are copy-cat tho, I know many will be butt hurt again haha :)). They were also the first one to introduce the color-changing lightstick during EXO's era for their concert. And what's crazy is that SM continues to improve their technology for much better production.

Kai from Exo had finally released his solo MV called “mmmh” y’all will not be disappointed. After 8 long years, almost a decade Kai finally gets his solo.
Quite a few of EXO's major MV tell a story. The first one is MAMA EXO-K 엑소케이 'MAMA' MV (Korean ver.). Overdose is also a very creative MV. Growl is one of my favorites, it is mainly a dance video. Wolf is extremely creative too. EXO has rappers, mainly Chanyeol and Sehun, but Kai will also do some rap, but their vocals and dance skills are what really set them apart. They also do not have just one style, although the songs I like the best are R&B ish. DO, Chen and Beckhyun are the lead three singers , but they all have wonderful voices that add a unique texture to their sound. Kai, who is the lead dancer is my favorite and he and Chanyeol had the lower ranges to the songs. BTS relieves heavily on Jimin and their rap line. Their dancing is out of this world too but for me, because of the variety that they produce EXO is my favorite. Seventeen, is also a talented group to check out.
You should what the introduction videos to the kpop groups you've watched so far to know who they are. Now with exo, it might take some time to know all of their names sense there is alot of them, I'm still having trouble, but thats probably because of my bad memory 😂😂, and can you react to seventeen: Clap and Pentagon: shine, you'll love that one!
You talk about story telling most of Exo's MVs are interconnected somehow and they always have symbolism in their videos. Exo has some amazing vocals and some really really fantastic R n B songs. Love your reaction it's nice to hear people actually make constructive comments!
finally someone who understood the end of the mv lmao so basically when the guy (Baekhyun) comes out of the van dressed like a swat guy he actually comes out as one of them (exo) and seems to have infiltrated the swat to deliver his fellow members we can notice that he’s always aside from them, like the boss he’s basically always sitting in the middle and he never takes a part in the fight, he discreetly disappear from the war and comes back at the end to deliver them.
EXO does have a storylike/concept. Everything is explained in EXO’s debut MV MAMA and their 2015 MV teasers (about 10 of them) called Pathcode I think. But the gist of it is that there aliens from an EXO planet stuck on earth and their ultimate goal is highly theorized by EXOL. But generally it’s know that their running away from the red force. They each have powers too. The MV that mostly focus on their concept included What is Love, MAMA, Overdose, Monster, Lucky One, Kokobop. The one I left out are Growl and Call Me Baby but their one their most popular comebacks. Esp Growl which is what made them popular. I don’t want to make this post too long so I suggest searching fan theories on TH-cam and video introducing EXO (esp ones before the Olympics as they performed during the flossing ceremony)

In 2012 EXO came out swinging and took the Kpop world by storm. They have a more pop feel, with many great songs and beautiful ballads. I think they have the best voices in Kpop. I love BTS for different reasons, they are younger and have a current fast paced vibe and style, and they are the bomb today.

“To truly understand EXO you need to understand that EXO debuted in 2012 -- So "Mama" is EXO's debut song and MV. It is how EXO was introduced to the world and it explains the groups concept. From the very beginning EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet EXO and they came to Earth with super powers to protect the Tree of Life. Each of the members has a super power that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one if not all of them using their powers. Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary. The groups concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents.
Now you also need to know that in the beginning there was 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members. (So the story in the beginning is explaining the groups legend and why they are split into two groups and what they have been sent to Earth to do.) So to really understand their full origin story you have to watch both the K and the M version of "MAMA," not just the K version, because even though both the K and M versions of "Mama" feature all 12 of the members, the K version focuses on the K members and their powers and the M version focuses on the M members and their powers. Plus, this is a good opportunity for you to hear what the song sounds like in both Mandarin and Korean. (I encourage you to watch EXO-M's version of "MAMA" even if you don't react to it and really listen to the introduction story at the beginning. Now that you know a little more about what it is trying to tell you, you will probably start to understand more of why EXO does the things they do and what makes them so special.) However, since then 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 of the members. Kris and Luhan left in 2014 and Tao left in 2015.) However, now, because they no longer have enough Chinese members they no longer do separate promotions where the group is split up, but they still produce all their songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one big group EXO with 9 members. Their fandom name is EXO-L because L falls right between K and M and I like to think it stands for Love. 😍
In Korean MAMA is a term they use to address a leader or King or queen. Its a term of reverence and respect. It's similar to saying "Your majesty." If you watch very many historical Korean dramas you will hear the characters call the royal family and especially the head of the royal family or leader "Mama." So in this song they are speaking to the leader or deity who sent them to Earth, essentially asking, "Now that I'm here, Your Majesty what should I do? How do I fulfill what you have sent me to do? etc."

As an EXO'L, we had several theories about every MVs but it always change because we were sometimes wrong lol.
Anyway, this was our theory. The day they dropped Monster, Lucky one mv was dropped first.
In Lucky One mv, they were in a facility, like a sleek-murder facility where they're being experimented by some robots (not literally). Their powers were awoken in Lucky One and as they did it, they managed to go out there.
So in Monster, they were probably in a run from authorities and all. The snake symbolizes the 'traitor' or called as "spy". We expected Chen(the guy who turned to his back) as the spy before but I think it is really Baekhyun. When they went out of the facility in Lucky One, the robots or Red Force's people were watching them and same goes to monster. You could see several CCTVs which literally mean that they're being watched. The red light from it tells us that it is the Red Force. So yeah, they were chased by authorities but Baekhyun who acted as a spy helped them in the end and they were freed.
The MV after Monster was Lotto. They were a bit out of hand in there, trying to gamble, enjoy, waste money, etc. It feels like after they were freed from Monster, they decided to enjoy themselves.
Now, when I say that our theories were wrong, the whole point changes. In their recent mv called obsession, there were 2 EXO. It said that the clones were in the Earth for years now. Why our theories messed up is probably because all these time, the EXO in the MVs aren't the real EXO, they are all the clones. EXO was stucked on a maze last 2014 and they haven't gone out from there thus making it seem like the EXOs in the mvs from 2015 and recent are the clones. We really don't know anymore. Everything is blur for us.

The whole existence of exo is a fucking story. From the very first mvs and concepts they had to now, everything is connected. Everything about exo were probably planned ahead of time. Like how their releases always happen when theres a fucking eclipse or shit like that. The mvs also have subtle clues on what happens next. That is what makes every exo comeback interesting and worth the wait. It's like an ongoing story and every comeback, every mv, every concept, is a new clue, a new chapter of the story. Not to mention their songs are always well- produced and the vocals (DAMN THE VOCALS 💯💯💯), the rap, the choreography, everything! I've been a fan since the beginning but whenever I think of the story behind everything, I still get goosebumps.

There are lots of great kpop groups. All of them work hard too, it's just that popularity takes a combination of promotion, luck, and skill so a lot are underrated. You'll understand this more when you see more kpop groups. Like, I just laugh when people are like "eww Kpop, I'd rather be deaf than listen to them" because they just ignore how hardworking and disciplined these groups are. Even the "produced group" stereotype is weird to me because I value skills developed through work more than raw talent. I appreciate that kpop groups take their jobs as real jobs that need preparation and improvement.
EXO members understand that immensely. If you listen to the things they say, Lay advises trainees to take the training period seriously because when you become famous you get busy from a lot of things that aren't music related anymore (acting in shows, invitations to reality programs, events you need to attend, etc.) and so you'll be forced to have shorter preparation time for your actual music performances and you'll experience a lot of stress too. He thinks those who do well on those are the ones who prepared sufficiently during their training period. If they didn't train beforehand, more of them would probably be so stressed that they could turn to substance abuse or need mental health treatments to cope.

Explanation of Monster MV:
"In here, it has something to do with time reverse, there's a time loop theory, in the MAMA MV narration, it was said that "time was overturned" so we think the sequence of the mvs are random. the concept of exo fighting the red force is also in place, as you can see, various red colors, and also in this mv, exo were captured (same in lucky one) but they escape here bc baekhyun was a double agent who pretended to be one of the enemy.
Red force is supposed to be the one who went to EXOPlanet and ruled there causing EXO to go to Earth and save it, since the next target is the earth. and at the same time, red force learned about their powers so they are after them.
there is also the theory that red force are in it with humans, this theory springs out from vcr's played in concerts specifically EXOluxion and pathcode teasers

The way I interpret the two MVs is that if you watch "Lotto", the events in "Lotto" take place right before "Monster" and the story in "Monster" kind of picks up where the story in lotto left off. But you really have to be a detective and analyze all aspects of the MVs and the story to start to piece together their meanings and start to understand the story."

EXO is very well known in Asia. And they're called the Nation's pick in Korea. In 2016 the were dubbed as the biggest boy band in the world by some media outlet. They're the 1st million seller of Korea in 12 years. They're currently the record holder for most daesang (grand prize at award shows) in Korea. Their concerts are sold out in 0.2 seconds Netizen in korea dubbed it as blood ticketing. In the 1st half of 2018, they are 2nd group to have the highest revenue in kpop. 2nd only to Legendary group TVXQ. They were the closing performance for Winter Olympics.
They'll be having a comeback this Nov 2.

Exo's Kai, Lay and Sehun are the key dancers. Check out "Do it Together" VCR. VCR are videos they play throughout concerts like intermission so the group can rest or change for the next stage. Like BTS , EXO and other groups work extremely hard all year round with barely any rest. They've all live together in the company dorms and grew up that way. They practice for hours, record for hours, they also are actors so they do dramas and movies, commercials, variety shows, game shows, soundtracks, and also side solo work.

Their “ The Exordium Dot in Seoul” concert was held in the biggest Olympic stadium in Korea for 2 days straight, and Exo are the first group to fill it for 2 days. So for that concert they sold 144k tickets and they broke a record for the fastest sold concert tickets (they were sold in 0,4 second). But this year they broke their own record and sold their tickets in just 0,2 second

To truly understand EXO you need to understand that EXO debuted in 2012 -- So "Mama" is EXO's debut song and MV. It is how EXO was introduced to the world and it explains the groups concept. From the very beginning EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet EXO and they came to Earth with super powers to protect the Tree of Life. Each of the members has a super power that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one if not all of them using their powers. Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary.The groups concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents.
Now you also need to know that In the beginning there was 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members. (So the story in the beginning is explaining the groups legend and why they are split into two groups and what they have been sent to Earth to do.) So to really understand their full origin story you have to watch both the K and the M version of "MAMA," not just the K version, because even though both the K and M versions of "Mama" feature all 12 of the members, the K version focuses on the K members and their powers and the M version focuses on the M members and their powers. Plus, this is a good opportunity for you to hear what the song sounds like in both Mandarin and Korean. (I encourage you to watch EXO-M's version of "MAMA" even if you don't react to it and really listen to the introduction story at the beginning. Now that you know a little more about what it is trying to tell you, you will probably start to understand more of why EXO does the things they do and what makes them so special.) However, since then 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 of the members. Kris and Luhan left in 2014 and Tao left in 2015.) However, now, because they no longer have enough Chinese members they no longer do separate promotions where the group is split up, but they still produce all their songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one big group EXO with 9 members. Their fandom name is EXO-L because L falls right between K and M and I like to think it stands for Love. 😍
In Korean MAMA is a term they use to address a leader or King or queen. Its a term of reverence and respect. It's similar to saying "Your majesty." If you watch very many historical Korean dramas you will hear the characters call the royal family and especially the head of the royal family or leader "Mama." So in this song they are speaking to the leader or deity who sent them to Earth, essentially asking, "Now that I'm here, Your Majesty what should I do? How do I fulfill what you have sent me to do? etc."

Exo has best dancers and best vocals I’d also say best visuals honestly In the industry and that’s on period!
Many might not know but SM Entertainment was the first to do those dance practice videos in KPop (Male group Shinhwa's Only One in 2000). I'm not bragging or saying that the others are copy-cat tho, I know many will be butt hurt again haha :)). They were also the first one to introduce the color-changing lightstick during EXO's era for their concert. And what's crazy is that SM continues to improve their technology for much better production.

EXO is a South Korean-Chinese Kpop group with 9 members, initially had 12 members separated as two subgroups EXO-K & EXO-M. They formed in 2011 debuting on April 8, 2012 under SM Entertainment. Their music is a unique combination of music genres performed in Korean, Mandarin, and Japanese. In 2014 last time EXO was separated as subgroups to release music, they’ve been active as one group since then performing in multiple languages. EXO remained with 9 members after the departures of Kris(main rapper), Tao, & LuHan after legal issues arose between them & S.M company during 2014 and 2015. First subgroup EXO-K, leader Suho became the 1st member(trainee) of SM Entertainment in 2006; the following year 2nd member Kai by his father’s encouragement auditioned and got accepted; same time Chanyeol won 2nd place in Smart Model Contest and Sehun had to go through four auditions for 2 years before getting accepted. The subgroup’s last two members(trainees) to go into EXO-K during 2010/2011 were D.O and Baekhyun. EXO-M subgroup leader Kris went through Canada’s Global Auditioning around the same time Lay went for an audition at Changsha; both subsequently moved to South Korea, while Xiumin goes with a friend to audition winning 2nd place he became the next member(not including the friend) to join EXO-M in 2008. Within two years LuHan and Tao were scouted into SM by one of the company representatives in Myeong-dong and during a talent show, the last member to join the subgroup EXO-M was Chen in 2011.
December 2011 they had finalized their group name to EXO; which is short for “EXOplanet”. Their first tv performance was at SBS’s Annual Gayo Daejun Event on Dec 29th. They’ve won many awards and nominations for their variety of creative music genres, appearance, and solo projects.

Kai from Exo had finally released his solo MV called “mmmh” y’all will not be disappointed. After 8 long years, almost a decade Kai finally gets his solo.
Quite a few of EXO's major MV tell a story. The first one is MAMA EXO-K 엑소케이 'MAMA' MV (Korean ver.). Overdose is also a very creative MV. Growl is one of my favorites, it is mainly a dance video. Wolf is extremely creative too. EXO has rappers, mainly Chanyeol and Sehun, but Kai will also do some rap, but their vocals and dance skills are what really set them apart. They also do not have just one style, although the songs I like the best are R&B ish. DO, Chen and Beckhyun are the lead three singers , but they all have wonderful voices that add a unique texture to their sound. Kai, who is the lead dancer is my favorite and he and Chanyeol had the lower ranges to the songs. BTS relieves heavily on Jimin and their rap line. Their dancing is out of this world too but for me, because of the variety that they produce EXO is my favorite. Seventeen, is also a talented group to check out.
You should what the introduction videos to the kpop groups you've watched so far to know who they are. Now with exo, it might take some time to know all of their names sense there is alot of them, I'm still having trouble, but thats probably because of my bad memory 😂😂, and can you react to seventeen: Clap and Pentagon: shine, you'll love that one!
You talk about story telling most of Exo's MVs are interconnected somehow and they always have symbolism in their videos. Exo has some amazing vocals and some really really fantastic R n B songs. Love your reaction it's nice to hear people actually make constructive comments!
finally someone who understood the end of the mv lmao so basically when the guy (Baekhyun) comes out of the van dressed like a swat guy he actually comes out as one of them (exo) and seems to have infiltrated the swat to deliver his fellow members we can notice that he’s always aside from them, like the boss he’s basically always sitting in the middle and he never takes a part in the fight, he discreetly disappear from the war and comes back at the end to deliver them.
This two guys are main rapper Chanyeol (red hair) and lead rapper Sehun (black hair). This guys are killed every song and MV.
EXO does have a storylike/concept. Everything is explained in EXO’s debut MV MAMA and their 2015 MV teasers (about 10 of them) called Pathcode I think.
But the gist of it is that there aliens from an EXO planet stuck on earth and their ultimate goal is highly theorized by EXOL. But generally it’s know that their running away from the red force. They each have powers too.
The MV that mostly focus on their concept included What is Love, MAMA, Overdose, Monster, Lucky One, Kokobop.
The one I left out are Growl and Call Me Baby but their one their most popular comebacks. Esp Growl which is what made them popular.

In 2012 EXO came out swinging and took the Kpop world by storm. They have a more pop feel, with many great songs and beautiful ballads. I think they have the best voices in Kpop. I love BTS for different reasons, they are younger and have a current fast paced vibe and style, and they are the bomb today.
