for me akagi was the one that kept dodging me. I was lucky that i got both in about 100-150 runs but i wanted limit break material so i grinded more. I ended up with having so many kagas that i retired 3 of them before i got 1 akagi for limit break
There's a thing that I like a lot from Kaga. The amount of planes you use. They will die really fast, but it gives you the real feels from a air raid, lot of planes, planes falling, but all for a hit. I really like that from Kaga, gives the real feel from a "Air Squad"

Thank you very much for adding me the mods that you are running into the beginning. Which brings up another question now why are you running the concealment mod over the additional aircraft mod? Is it for a lower probability defensive AA being popped in time or is it so you can line up your approach closer to the point of Engagement before AA even starts going off?
With the amount of planes that Kaga has, +2 planes is not really worth, while concealment can make your torp planes to remain undetected even in AA with longer range

Question though, if Attack planes are useless, why did you get the Attack Plane modification and not, say... the torp one? Is it because it will take to long to disengage in case of a failed torp run? Anyways, keep it up with these videos!

Which in your opinion is best premium CV which can do something at tier X. Tbh I'm tired of farming credits on tirpitz whole I have 80 % of time X tier mm and I do shit.
Almost all carriers have 1.5 times their squadron size for the max number of planes they can have available. Kaga has 3 times (Yes, really). That means you can lose an entire squadron the second you take off, have ANOTHER full squadron available take off instantly, and STILL have a full squadron in reserve. The downside, is that Kaga has a slightly long aircraft rebuild time. Not the worst, that belongs to Saipan and Implacable. The tradeoff for those carriers is that they have relatively tough planes, so in theory you shouldn't lose as many. They're not even technically squishy. Plane for plane, yes (Only the Graf Zepplin's attack plane is worse plane-for-plane than Kaga's, and only by 10 HP), but there's so MANY that full squadron HP is actually the highest-in-tier for the torpedo and dive bombers. Avoid flak clouds because of AoE damage, and they should be durable enough. This is as of 0.9.4 build.
HE dive bombers are effective for DD hunting. * cough cough* poor midway has never seen bullsh*t like dis. But yea from what you did to the Gearing was really smart. Instead of going for blind torping DDs, you used the bombers that are more effective to hit DDs. Midway is also the same but she doesn’t care about AP bombers. When using Kaga, I usually prefer to be bottom tier; thanks to all her planes, the losses are manageable, and the amount of dmg they provide compared to tier VI ships is a lot. My best game was 210k bottom tier, and my worst, 80k at tier VI
I ALWAYS start with rocket planes. They are faster which makes them the better spotter. And also DD's are your primary targets and they must die a painful death. The faster you get the DDs out of the game the faster the game is over.
Nice tips & tricks vid but I want to address that even if you think the rockets are not good enough, showing how it works is still important . At least the last attack against the Lexington was a missed opportunity. But from the looks of it, Kaga’s planes are strong enough to not have to use rocket planes.

Thats why Kaga is the most "Real Life" gameplay experience of IJN CV, A lot of Planes, Stealh and Torpedo.
Even pre-CV rework Kaga was notorious for having a massive hangar and many planes per squadron.
Well in real life, most ships would capsize after 3-4 torpedoes hits already... CVs are nerfed way too much in this game.

Well good question, Im completely fine with torpedo attack timing so I wanted to extend rockets because they're not very useful with stock timers

The rocket planes are for killing DDs and spotting. They are the faster planes. Nothing is wrong with them.
Rocket planes not only are bad, but also there is fewer and they take 20s longer to get a new one
