    "I’ve been the underdog playing Liang Jingkun all the time, with recent matches resulting in my defeat almost every time. Before this match, I prepared myself with the right mindset, taking a fighter’s attitude. My aim for the finals was to play wholeheartedly and give my best effort. Therefore, I competed very committedly without holding back. Instead of thinking about the result, I focused on the match itself. Therefore, I believe I have gained a lot from it." Wang Chuqin

    WCQ has developed/opened up unprecedented fantastic, consistent and lethal 3rd ball attack after service. But his strongest ability comes from 1st time killing opponent's serves or counter with reliable short & long pushes. Combining this with high accuracy/ultra spin/lightning speed/low arc forehand drives & block, no one can match him, now and then. Pending consistency, he'll be at the top for 4 or 5 years. LJK has played well in this event but still no match for Wang. Congrats to both for this marvellous match, full of fireworks and missles. Now looking forward to see the Paris Olympics.

      @@benthekeeshond545 enough with this argument. After this tournament it is revealed that all of you side view haters are just a bunch of hypocritical minority. The singles semifinals as well as doubles finals matches were broadcasted live on 3 different angles, the side, the back as well as the 45 degree angle. But the ironic part is that the "highly demanded" back angle and 45 degree angle has far less views than the side one. During peak time the side view has 8k people watching while on the other hand the views for the back angle and 45 angle added up never reached 3k people watching. Now you got people demanding other stuff like replays and graphics lmao seriously impossible to please people. I kinda respect WTT's decision to continue using the side now since there's no reason airing an angle that has far less views.

    • @michaelhenry786
      @michaelhenry786 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @starking1187 People are tuning out in drove! For example, lawn Tennis does NOT broadcast their events from that high side view camera angle. It's always from behind the back of the court, where the power and speed of these very talented players can be seen. Also, the dynamics of the ball are easily displayed from behind the court. Are you telling me that lawn tennis does not know what they are doing?
      Yes, it is ok for you to appreciate watching from that high camera angle from the side. But others like myself are looking to seem other aspect of the sport that are totally disappeared when shown from that high side camera angle. We are looking to see the speed and power of the players. We want to see the curvature of the ball as iflys over the net and into the opponent's side of the table. These are some of the dynamics that we are missing when the sport is disgraceful broadcast from that high side camera angle. The Chinese super league gets it right. That is where I and many others tune in and watch table tennis.

    • @starking1187
      @starking1187 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@michaelhenry786 Dude read my comment carefully you are missing out the point. I am neither supporting or protesting the side angle. I am just saying that the angles you people demanded (whether it's the back or the 45 angle) are INDEED AVAILABLE LIVE!! Starting from the semi-finals of this Singapore Smash, 3 ANGLES broadcast was provided. But despite the HOO HAHS and complaints from everyone saying how the angle sucked, the side angle still have FAR MORE VIEWS than both the back angle and 45 degree angle COMBINED. So where are all these side view trash talkers at huh? Why weren't they watching the 45 degree or back angle if they really think the side angle suck???? Why majority of people still watch the high side angle??? Explain this.
      During the live now you got people complaining about completely new things that never existed before. Now people are saying that there are no replays provided in the 45 angle and they wanna watch replays oh wow! That's my point, people demand too much for something they get to watch for free. Most people don't really know what they want. They just follow the crowd. When the angle they demanded for the longest time every was finally provided to them, they never watch it. Majority of viewers still picked the side over the back and 45 angle.
      It just shows that all of you who HATE the angle are just a small minority and WTT will not make changes just to satisfy you guys. They rather stick to broadcasting an angle where they get the most views. Boosting up the views on the stream was one way you guys could've take opportunity to prove to WTT that it is indeed the angle you guys wanted but you guys didn't appreciate it.

    He has played 14 matches this week, and only lost one at men's doubles final.
    The second strongest player this Tournament can also only win 1 game against him!
    WCQ is really the talent in perhaps 100 years. FZD, Harimotor, Lebruns, Truls, Lin shidong, they are all very talented, but i think WCQ is the best of them.
    He was approximately same level like Harimotor Truls LJY in early years (as young player), but he has made a really great Progress since last two years.

      Wang Chuqin and Wang Yidi are the only two recent players that have found resurgence in their 20s from the lull they were intl after the promise of their early teenage years.

      I wouldn't say beating Harimoto 2-3 and Timo Boll 4-3 as "impressive". No offense those two are great players but if you recall that every time WCQ players harimoto it would be a 3-0 or 4-0 annihilation, sometimes Harimoto can get 1 set if he's lucky. WCQ has also annihilated boll when he was only 17. I don't see a reason for LJK to purposely lose to WCQ because he has nothing to gain but everything to lose by doing so. WCQ has pretty much secure his olympic spot but LJK hasn't. His win would probably allow him to be selected as China's substitute players for the men's team over LGY so I absolutely see no reason for him to not wanting to win.

    Congrats, but... Liang JK and Wang CQ are the reason why this sport is losing its former glory, that spark that I remember. Even in the days of 2009 - 2019 the Chinese players that won did so with finesse: Ma Long, FZD, ZJK, Wang Hao and others are prime examples. This new generation of Chinese players lack the energy and creativity that epitomise the concept of beautiful table tennis. Their playing styles are dull and lifeless. The new camera angle is soulless. Boring. Table. Tennis.

      @@shiishinchiu6636 Unfortunately, your response has been valued as invalid by a panel of judges, myself included, obviously. The comment that this FJOnTop0709 bloke wrote had a sense of independence and originality, which your comment, most definitely did not have. The insult of "boo" and "cry harder" suggest a sense of insecurity deep within shiishinchiu6636, the rapid use of ellipsis emphasising this, ellipsis being a punctuation mark of three dots, since it is evident that you most probably do not know what an ellipsis is, shown from the response "cry harder" suggesting you are below the age of 10 or are an unseemingly dim - witted and ignorant man.
