@@Maverick9k are you blind? without that, Kirkwood would have had Carpenter’s wheel on his head, Rossi would have have Carpenter’s car on/over his head when Ed got it. Robb mainly used the roll hoop but still, it definitely saved some drivers.
@GinnXXV the whole reason why the car is even stuck on top of kirkwood car IS because of the areoscreen, are you blind? The suspension is stuck on the halo bar above the screen, whereas in the past the car would've just rolled off. Rossi would've been fine regardless, that kind of crash has happened in the past without death or serious injury
@@Maverick9ksure, that’s why it’s STUCK there, but it got there in the first place? In the process of getting there, without the halo/aeroscreen his head was directly in the path of the wheel? That flip he took on the last lap of the race was shocking to see, but thank God that I saw him giving us the thumbs up, and I'm relieved that he's okay.
The aeroscreen is a disaster for airflow, especially on hot days when stationary. The regular halo can achieve the same safety benefits while making it easier to keep drivers cool (and thus safer). There's a reason why you don't see the aeroscreen used anywhere else...

Looks very reminiscent to Dario Franchitti’s 2007 Kentucky wreck. That one also happened after the race…
slightly different Rossi had not yet finished yet
Except these guys were still under green, they hadn't crossed the line yet. Rossi slowed down and it caught Robb unaware I guess.
