You could just feel the genuine love and support everyone in the room has for eachother. I don't care what anyone says, Vince has zero bad projects, excited to watch the show
from the beginning of Vince career you could always tell Vince had immense respect for Sway. especially that classic moment where he said he not freestyling for no one but him 💀💀
Yall were like proud parents/aunties & uncles up there🥲 he seemed just as happy to make yall proud. You poured so much into him that didn’t paint him as entertainment & it’s clear your words meant a lot to him. I gotta say this was probably the best and most endearing interview of this press run.
i honestly think vince is one of those people....regardless of where hes from or how he grew up....whatever he chose to do, hed be successful. dude's mind is special. Had he chose to be a businessman, hed end up a ceo just bc his ability to absorb his surroundings
Vince is the kind for influence I wished I discovered earlier in life even though we almost the same age. He’s a marvel and I’m grateful for who he is.
Bro I’ve been waiting YEARS for this show to come out. When I first heard the news he was getting a show I was so hyped and it lived up to expectations! We need a new season and more episodes!!!! Show is a hit with plenty of potential!
Vance Staples said it best." Some only see entertainment. They don't understand the words in the position.." Shoutout too Sway in tha mornings.. Very much needed wisdom for my brain.. shoutout Vance Staples..
I appreciate that Sway and team put effort into engaging artists about their work first and foremost, it's the utmost respect. Vince is home here and that makes all the difference.
I know Sway and Heather B get their flowers, and they deserve it all plus more. This is Bigger than radio, you felt the genuine love and appreciation in the room. A space like this is very much needed. I'm a big fan of Vince and glad to see him comfortable and showing so much elevation. Everything about this was dope. Hopefully one day my art allows me to meet all parties involved.
Damn good show, Vince. I've already told a couple of people about it, and plan to stream the whole season again tonight before bed. Proud of you, homie 💪🏽
As a 46 yo white woman, I've looked up to Vince Staples for yrs. Smart, generous, honest, wise, w/a unique POV informing a strong moral compass. He's also tremendously talented and hilarious af. 💜
Incredible interview, The respect and love he has for Sway and the gang is great. Never seen Vince open up like this and it was great to see him talk about the behind the scenes. I severly discounted thee grind this man has been on for this show. Good for him because the show is funny and i hope Netflix picks up a full show order
Dope that he mentioned “Stuck In My Ways”. It’s the first song I heard by him and I didn’t know that there was a video to the song. This is when Mac Miller had a producer monicker, Larry Fisherman or something like that.
Opening scene to the whole series is all of Long Beach in a singular shot! You love to see it! Respect 🤝 💯 Layers on top of layers and the depth of the opening scene brings tears to my eyes and makes it wholesome af! Best Netflix series of all time already!
The show is fire 🔥, definitely necessary for the culture, shows the perspective of a nigga fr trying to maintain, how we look at abnormalities as normal, we need another season!
Nah this is wild… I lived right down the street from that donut shop for a while. And I gotta say! Never tried it lol. When he says. “Contrast of good and bad happening in one space, and not really knowing what’s going on.” Is something I’ve been tryna say about lb in paragraphs for years. This man sums it up in a sentence. Fr genius material. I’ve always said. “It’s a beautiful place, till you sign the lease.” 😂😂 Don’t get me wrong I’d go bak if I didn’t have a little to care for. It’s an experience that wasn’t always easy. But that comes with some life lessons. And fun beyond comparison. 💪💪💪 This dude is the truth.
I really think Vince is the most underrated rapper of my time…Ramona park is one the best hip hop albums to come out the past decade. But even he admits in his music he doesn’t make shit for the masses
The best interview of the run, sway is the only one who cared about the cinematography and the message while Charlemagne to press on fake deep meanings and Rosenberg pressed to say he seen Vince in the beginning
The Vince Staples Show felt like a visual of To Pimp A Butterfly and Mr Morale and the Big Steppers mixed into a single body of work... It makes you resonate with your "blackness" There's a quote over there when there's a fight at a reunion between Vince's mom and one of them aunties and an uncle just walks away saying "Why are we so black" or something along those lines and I felt how these traumas resonate with my people so much that we can even identify by them, that line felt like listening to Mother I Sober. Great show for the black man, I love and appreciate the initiative he's taken by being that silent subtle cultural voice at such an age man.
I grew up hearing the breakfast crew on the radio - watching some of them is trippy but Vince's success he's ridiculously talented doesn't stop his work.
@SWAYSUNIVERSE1 awesome interview 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 so good to see #BlackCreatives tap in to history and legacy then push the culture forward because their vision doesn't conform to industry standards. As someone unfamiliar with @vincestaples music career, this convo gives great insight into his artistic process and overall goals. #Respect #TheVinceStaplesShow
The “being funny but never told a joke” is just like Huey from the Boondocks. Love it!
You could just feel the genuine love and support everyone in the room has for eachother. I don't care what anyone says, Vince has zero bad projects, excited to watch the show
Zero bad projects is a mf fact
Who ever said Vince had a bad one tho ? He. Don’t. Miss.

*0 bad projects is also crazy
Bra you the truth 🖤😎🤞

I remember when Vince said “ the only nigga I’m rapping for is sway” 😂😂😂😂😂😂💯
50 yo woman. I learned of Vince through my kids...and I have enjoyed his influence on them. Keep it up young man!
The highest compliment to any artist.
The banking episode was hilarious, and Vanessa Bell Calloway she is gold. Vince’s mom irl is someone not f with.

I know that’s not the homie!!! 😂😂
@@kweefsweat5628 so good 🤣

That Bank episode was one of the best episodes of a television show that I have ever seen.
The chemistry between Sway and Vince is just different man, definitely some of the best Vince interviews and that says something. They haven’t missed
from the beginning of Vince career you could always tell Vince had immense respect for Sway. especially that classic moment where he said he not freestyling for no one but him 💀💀

Also TBC
This really felt like a family conversation, such honesty and purity through out everyone in the room, you can feel the vibe
i honestly think vince is one of those people....regardless of where hes from or how he grew up....whatever he chose to do, hed be successful. dude's mind is special. Had he chose to be a businessman, hed end up a ceo just bc his ability to absorb his surroundings
When he starting singing Magic in the bank.. that was a straight up written joke. A well written one at that
Vince is the kind for influence I wished I discovered earlier in life even though we almost the same age. He’s a marvel and I’m grateful for who he is.
Mac would be so happy to see this happening
Bro I’ve been waiting YEARS for this show to come out. When I first heard the news he was getting a show I was so hyped and it lived up to expectations! We need a new season and more episodes!!!! Show is a hit with plenty of potential!

Vince has a great perspective, love it when he pops up
They don’t even understand how the Mac n cheese at the family reunion can be a real problem. I’ve seen it happen. 😂😂😂
Damn good show, Vince. I've already told a couple of people about it, and plan to stream the whole season again tonight before bed. Proud of you, homie 💪🏽
Can’t wait to sit down with Sway! I love yall
He seems like a good dude. Extremely talented and someone you always root for. He doesn't get enough props.
As a 46 yo white woman, I've looked up to Vince Staples for yrs. Smart, generous, honest, wise, w/a unique POV informing a strong moral compass. He's also tremendously talented and hilarious af. 💜
What does you being white have to do with that?
Show is amazing the contrast he was showing and the low key shade bruh so good 🔥🔥
Incredible interview, The respect and love he has for Sway and the gang is great. Never seen Vince open up like this and it was great to see him talk about the behind the scenes. Dope that he mentioned “Stuck In My Ways”. It’s the first song I heard by him and I didn’t know that there was a video to the song. This is when Mac Miller had a producer monicker, Larry Fisherman or something like that.
2 minutes in and I’m so excited man beautiful. Vince deserves it all and the work goes unnoticed
One of my favorite Vince Staples interviews. I love him.

Great stuff as always Sway, and crew. Thanks for asking probing and solid questions too!
There were so many statements made in the show. It was so good!

Great show for the black man, I love and appreciate the initiative he's taken by being that silent subtle cultural voice at such an age man.
Somehow, every Vince interview makes me watch another Vince interview instead of the actual show.. sorry Vince, I'll get to it in a couple hours
Protect Mr. Staples at all costs.
