    My healthy nephew also got Burkitts Lymphoma when he was 28 years old. It is so rare and the treatment was very harsh. I am happy to say he is still in remission 9 years later. I pray for him to stay in remission and now I will pray for you too.

    You were pushing yourself So Hard! Can’t even imagine how you were a single mom of two, working full time, getting your masters, and on top of all this body building competition! Body and mind can only handle so much. Hope you can now enjoy the precious moments as life is so delicate and so short. Also battling cancer myself since 2015, was a single mom going to law school! Too much pressure…

    Thank you for your story! You are a brave, warrior! Stay strong! I was diagnosed at 18 with Hodgkin's Lymphoma 3A, had 1 re-occurrence 5 years later and then 19 years later diagnosed with Triple Neg breast cancer (double mastectomy) so I'm now 51....still here thankfully. I think you are beautiful and you will find someone that will love you just how you are. Your mom sounds amazing. My mom was too and helped me right before she passed with breast cancer when I was 18. God Bless You, Ashlee! ❣

    Ashlee! Thank you for sharing your story, it really touched me! That sounds like an incredibly frightening experience, to find that lump in your abdomen, then finding out it was cancer. You went through so much, surgery and also chemo! I pray the treatment has a lasting effect, and you will continue to recover and have no reoccurences.
    It is true, there are no guarantees in life. You can do all the "right" things, good nutrition and exercise, clean living, and you can still get sick. It wasn't your fault! Thank goodness you were in such good shape, because it probably gave you a better chance of surviving!

  • @Bimod2929
    @Bimod2929 วันที่ผ่านมา +22

    Ashlee, Burkitt Lymphoma is an aggressive condition, BUT it is very sensible to chemo, and in your case it was ! There is a very good chance this will never come back again. The relapse % in Burkitt Lymphoma is not high. You will be fine and you are a great example of strength for people going through this. I have DLBCL high grade. Best regards !

      My friend of 35 years was diagnosed with DLBCL just a few months ago and has had one round of R-CHOP, well, I guess CHOP, and then an injection of what I assume was the R. He was telling me his second CHOP infusion was delayed as his liver function wasn't good, hopefully another 7 days and he'll get that second infusion. Did you have any "hiccups" during your treatment?

      If I was diagnosed and survived, I'd stop cosmetic fillers and Botox® then get my implants removed. I don't care how clean someone eats, if they are doing fillers and stuff, it just defeats the purpose. I fight with my niece about this. She only wears organic cotton and eats organic, etc... yet she has substances injected into her face!

    I used to hang chemo, there were a small number of medications we are required to sit with the patient for a period of time to observe them, but most chemotherapy infusions do not require that during the first infusion. So glad that nursing staff responded quickly and recovered you from your reaction. All the best to you.

    Dear Ashlee, you don't have to say sorry for crying. i mean these are very intens moments. life, death, these things should not be taken lightly, and of course there are emotions involved. You say you worry about your menstrual cycle. I can only say that not having a cycle is not making you less of a woman. it does not define you. you are more than just that. And a good man can see true that. I wish you all the health and the best, and your kids can be great full to have such a strong and amazing mom!

    What a powerful story! Ashlee, when you said you wondered about who would want you if you were to date, with your cancer history , what would the guy think etc. I can tell you that, my dear. If he is any kind of decent, caring human he will think "Wow, this girl kicks a*s! She is so beautiful, so strong. How did i get so lucky to have her and her kids in my life?" You just keep getting your scans as recommended and ENJOY LIFE and spending time with your momma and your babies and i have a feeling you'll be fine! I will pray for you (i am thinking I'm old enough to be your grandma lol) and i hope, if you don't already, you will think about going to church! I wouldn't be here without my faith in the Lord and inviting Jesus into my heart as my Savior! He has made a huge difference in my own trauma and the outcome. I wish you the best!

    So sorry for your situation at such a young age. Unfortunately most of conventional medicine still labors under the false notion that cancer is caused by a random genetic mutation. Most are related to metabolic issues (diet/lifestyle/pharma/stress/vax) but more important than the cancer cell itself is the immune/gut function which was designed to eliminate naturally occuring cancer cells before they become an issue. Runaway cancer is usually a result of immune/gut dysfunction and not the cancer cell which is just a symptom of this dysfunction.

      Not really the epitome of health. Body building stresses the body so much with over exertion and the diet is so extreme. It’s not meant to be a lifelong exercise because of the stress on your body. That may have exacerbated the cancer.

      @roch145 วันที่ผ่านมา +12

      First you don’t know exactly what the consent form said. Second that type of abdominal incision is very significant, cutting through many layers of muscle and extremely painful to recover from. You only want to do that once if possible. Third, jumping to the idea of suing is insane. The surgeons observe massive amounts of tumors and you think they should suture her closed, wait for her to regain consciousness and tell her we didn’t want to remove the tumors because you might not approve? The surgeons would be sued if they didn’t remove parts of her intestines. If I were a doctor, I’d hate have you as a patient. Do you think suing is going to help get her through cancer treatment? You definitely have a problem in your head somewhere. And I’m an advanced colon cancer survivor and I know what I’m talking about.

    • @phoenixgamer1565
      @phoenixgamer1565 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@roch145 I had a room full of doctors tell me that I needed to have my appendix removed. I had woken up after spending the night in the Emergency Department. I told them I did not need to have my appendix removed. This was more than 6 years ago. Doctors do not always know the best course of action. Also, they think the appendix is a useless organ when this is 100% false. The appendix serves several purposes for our health and those without an appendix are at increased risk of certain cancers, because again, the appendix is beneficial for our health. The consent form she signed likely allowed the surgery they did if it was an emergency. All I'm saying is, if there was no express consent given, then yes, a lawsuit would be an option if the patient did not consent to that operation or treatment for that matter!
