A long time ago, I think I was in my early 20s back in the mid 2000s I always wanted a motorcycle. The problem was I couldn't really pin point what type I wanted. All I knew was sport bikes, Harleys and choppers in that time, and I liked them all the same. A few years later I spotted a Triumph and discovered my love for those type of motorcycles even before I knew the word "cafe" existed. I am proud to own a Triumph and it gives me joy and pleasure riding it. It was a match made in heaven. And I can care less about trends or fashion.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. Your Story demonstrates precisely what i said in the video. It is so natural for most people to love Classic and Cafe Racer motorcycles. Thank you. :) Cheers.
I agree with your sentiments re Triumph, so far I own a 2000 Bonneville T 100and a 2009 Thruxton. I can no longer ride due to ill health so I have decided to own a couple just because I can :)
My Honda 550F was my first café, built in 1973 with FG fairing, tank and seat from England. The rearsets and exhaust were Dunstall bits! My 1975 Norton was fitted with a Tracy one piece FG tank, side cover and rear section, and looked oh so cool! Quite a project since it was designed to fit a Honda XL 250! We lovers of all things café have been around for a while, thanks Racer TV!!
Thank you for these nice images, good music and for your slowly and clear comments that a french pepople can understand !!! Continue like this !! Congratulation for this perfect result ! Jacques
Cafe Racers sparks my love and ever-growing interest in motorcycles. While I am only 22 years old with no experience on a bike, one of these days I'll be behind the handlebars of a cafe racer. I truly have developed a passion for these machines and Im so glad to have come across your channel and learn so much more about them. Can't wait to share my future experiences with you all one day :)
love them as well...grew up in comunist contry and used to ride east european bikes like ...jawa ...cz...ij...had mz...simpson all this bikes from 1958-1965 productions...i never knew what i had :) ...got to have new gen bikes hayabusa ..and such.. but few years now i took notice of the cafes 😍 and now proudly own a bmwk75s and a cx500. THANK YOU RACER TV for what u doing .keep it going .
My first visual impact with a motorcycle was with a Triumph Tiger T110 model 1962. That was a beautiful bike! For years I watched her parked in front of a shop, as a pride enjoy of its owner. I was a teenager and since then I like the "retro" style, even before the concept was invented. A motorcycle that ages badly the best thing that can happen, is that someone strips it of all that plastic, fiberglass or fiber carbon and throws in the trash that cheap “modernity” to save the essence of a vehicle. Not all bikes can be transformed into a retro style as scramblers o café racers, but the mere desire to do so speaks for itself, that it is certainly a movement that refuses, conformity, cheap style and that it came to stay.
Once again, Racer, thank you: for the tremendous succession of eye-candy shots; for the thoughtful voice essay on the past, future and nature of CAFÉ; and for the wonderful s o u n d ! ! in the last scene.
A fashion statement for some, perhaps. For a motorcyclist, hardly just fashion. The cafe racer has been around for a long time. At least since the mid-sixties. I converted a CB160 to a 'cafe' racer in 1968. Have I owned and ridden one all these years? No. However, the image of the cafe racer has been in my mind all these years. Yes, today, I am once again building one. This time, from a GS750. And as always, thank you for your perspective and insight into this evolving part of motorcycling.
I have been working on my Buell Blast for over 2 years now. Making it look more and more like what I envision a cafe blast should look like. Every time I ride it, I get looks and gentleman are always asking how much I want for it. One older gentleman made me change lanes a few times on the highway and followed me on my exit just to get me to stop and took a good look at my bike. In a nut shell, Cafe racers are a way of life, a lifestyle if you will. The personality of the rider shows through the bike and that breeds character.
OBRIGADO Racer TV!
Beautifully presented, once again, their were some fabulous bikes, I believe that the style didn't fade, it was just having a rest. The only thing that bothers me about the Café Racer scene is so many people don't have a clue what a CR is. They just lump together anything and everything under the same heading, the amount of times I've seen Café racer, Streetfighter, Street Scrambler and more in the same add for the same bike, a great many people not only have no idea what their building, or buying, many of the people that slag them off as being slow and unreliable, believe they are all based on bikes from the 50's and 60's, but the vast majority are based on modern bikes, mine is a ZX6R, it looks good, rides well, it's quick, fast, agile reliable and it looks the part. For me it's as you said, Style remains, i just wish these people that stick a load of shite together stop, sooner rather than later.
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. Yes, you are right. There are many enthusiasts that see cafe racers as some sort of fashion, but we have to live with that. I think the issue about building cafe racers based on more modern motorcycles, have to do with the price of oldest motorcycles. They are rare and expensive. That is why most people chose for their own projects motorcycles from the late 70's or 80's. :) Cheers.
What amazing video, cafe racers are a piece of art, personality, and perspective of how you express your thoughts of one each. Good things always stay through time, and simple things go by before the time passed
the fact that all kind of people are going crazy at every stoplight i stand, wherever i park my bike people are crowding arround me to take pictures and ask questions about the bike. who build it. (ME) what model it is, iff its a original model. etc. and its like everybody preciate this bike for there own reasons. age, looks, sound, engine, some see how many effort it has taken to look like does. the fact that my bike puts a smile on all kinds of diffrent peoples face tells me that this is not just a moment, people preciate it for many reasons and it will never become a regular bike. iff i could get a euro/ dollar for every thumbs up and picture i could have bought few other bikes by now. i do think creativity will be needed and it has to look correct bit diffrent to get that wow factor over and over again. many people love a rat bike/ car, patina, camouflage, math black, retro colors, modern combined with new (as long as its in harmony overall) it will allways be preciated. oldtimers never bored us so why would a oldtimer bike? there are many people that are going through a fasion fase thats correct. some ride them for fasion some because the love for them and love of old stuff.
RACER TV Hi there. If can say I'm addicted to RacerTV channel. Can I ask have you been at The Bike Shed exhibition at Tobacco Docks? If you have, can we expect a short clip as there were so many good racers. Thanx a lot. P.S. if not, I can email you pictures so you can use them as clip.
Unfortunately, I didn't went to the Bike Shed. But it would be great if you could share some photographs about the bikes on the exhibition. I can not share my personal email here. Can you send me your email address by private message on Racer TV's facebook page? Here is the link: pt-pt.facebook.com/racertv.pt/ Thank you my friend for your offer. :) Cheers.
KrisMOTO23 its the "ART" of it that never dies its cool because its a great useful form of industrial art its not some thing you sit on a table or a shelf or hang on the wall. I mean you could plenty of rich guys have them around just for art sake. But us mere mortals we love to use them like a favorite pair of jeans.
MindzDesign If you're like most people your fave pair of jeans feel good to wear because good fit and you think you look good in them. Or at least you look better in them than many lesser options. I don't think that can be said about a lot of cafe racers. Especially when your brain develops to the degree where it can draw a causal link between form and function. The form over function card , because it's a forced hand, rules it out as cool. McQueen has a lot of money generating marketing hype pre and post death. A lot of people don't see the irony. Enjoy your day!
I am 66 years of age, and have had motorcycles since the age of 15, now I am building a 40 year old Suzuki GS550 into a café racer. Cant wait, till I can ride out on it. [ 8/22/2020 ]
Ducati sports classics concept bikes at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show arguably made the most significant impact on the return of the café racer seen from an industry perspective. In fact the buzz from that show was so strong you could also argue that Hinckley Triumph just slapped and an assortment of café racer parts to their 2003 Triumph Bonneville and dubbed the altered Bonneville the new 2004 Truxton cafe racer pretty-much a year after all of the Tokyo Motor Show hype from Ducati modern classics concepts. Next of course Ducati got actually to work and finally put their 2003 concept bikes into production and had released the Ducati sport classics by late 2005. And in early 2006 I was standing in a midtown Atlanta show room drooling over the 2006 Ducati sport classics, 2006 Triumph Truxton, as well as the 2006 triumph scrambler. So Moto Guzzi's 2009 V7 Cafe Classic I always regarded as being very late to the party. DoTheTon.com & TriumphRats.net were also popular early adopter of Cafe Race culture prior to Moto Guzzi's café offering. And agreed we are talking style not fashion.
Achei curiosa a frase de Coco Chanel, "Fashion fades, only style remains the same."
the first time i bought my yamaha srx 400 i have no idea what a cafe racer bike is. i just bought it cuz it looks cool and never regret it til this day! 😀
nice video i love my cafe racer i built it gets lots of interest everywhere i go its like a muscle car from the 60s and 70s people love them for what they are
It is not fashion because it has been around for years fashion changes cafe racers do not they are still the same look the same stance bikes change for each year cafe racers are the same year in year out ,it is not what we think it is rather what the look is new bikes old bike hell you show some of the best bikes out their they all are the same in one way shape or form a cafe racer it is loud proud and the owners love them to death as a group you could not get a prouder world wide membership like a cafe racer follower .People look learn and listen to that tune that this style of bike puts out because it is a cafe racer built by hand and the heart ever time thank you my friend once again for keeping the faith
Thanks for one more awesome vídeo. Make make your words my own! For me, it doesn´t matter whether the cafe racer look is just a trend or not. In my opinion, this is how a motorcycle should look! Of course there many styles out there that are stuning but the cafe racer look does it for me!
As always Awesome Awesome Video my friend. I was wondering could you do a Video on several Harley Cafe Racer Builds that is if you havent already done one? I believe i seen one or two Harley Cafe Racers from you once before but i dont recall one video of like 7/8 diffrent offerings at one time? Id just like to see what some folks have done with Harley brand. As ive seen cafe racers in several other awesome brands before over and over again. Maybe Harleys suck at being cafe racers i dont know. Anyway thank you. Keep up the good work.
So true. Cafe racers, retro bikes feed the soul. Fashion changes, style lives on. Fashion is ugly that’s why they change it every year. Don’t be a fashion slave ✌️
Beauty, Elagance, Class never go out of style! Modern means new and doesn't always mean better. Classic, Retro vintage, means old style, old school and doesn't always mean outdated or obsolete. Sometimes Old School IS Best. Thats why Vinyl Records are making a comeback. Nothing sounds better. New Classis, Modern Retro, Café Racers Modrn technology in unbeatable Old School Elegance. These bikes ooooze and drip with class, beauty and elegance.
My first bike was a 71 750 Bonneville cafe racer. I was building and riding cafe bikes before the hipsters discovered them and I’ll be building and riding them when the hipsters move on. If they don’t move on, the more the merrier!
Rebirth? Fashion? Here in the UK 🇬🇧 they never went away in the first place! Caff Racers are no more or less popular now here than they were when I first got into bikes in the late 1980's...its maybe just the rest of the world (& manufacturers) have only cottoned on to this timeless style in the last few years. Good thought provoking video, thanks 👍👍
Yes, Shibuya garage has very beautiful projects. Unfortunately, there are only few photographs about each one, which are not enough for a full video. But thanks for your suggestion. Cheers.
It is a CMC XY400 by moto lady( from Malaysia). I would love to make a video about it, but unfortunately, there is not enough photos/video material to create a full video review. :) Cheers.
Very much quite the opposite ! Cafe Racers were born out of shear performance ! Larger engine, lighter frames ! The " retro " part of the movement if you will, is due in part from a culture of us 50 something's appreciating a very special time ! We are not only holding on to those memories, but bringing an entire new generation to appreciate the simplicity of design Incorporated in the early Cafe styled bikes.
Do I think cafe racers are a fashion? Yes Do I think the fashion will die as soon as the craze stops? Yes Did I buy a an old bike (to build a cafe racer) during the cafe racer craze? Yes when i bought the bike i was 19, and where i live you can only ride motorcycle up to 35kw and 600cc at that age, I always wanted a bike and i wanted to wait until i was 24 (and able to ride a bike with no power restriction), then i found out about cafe racers, I fell in love, it was something completely different from what i always expected my bike to be (at first my go to bike would have been a ducati monster). At that point i started questioning myself, and I figured out I didn't really need a crazy powerful bike or a bike I could knee drag on, i realized what really got me in cars and bike was the possibility to work and learn on them, so it only was a matter of time until I bought an old bike, it took me 6 month to choose exatcly what i wanted. The bike i bought was mostly ok, the only thing that did't work were the brakes, i promised to my parents i would only fix the brakes and start using it to take my license. A week later the only thing that I had was a frame chained to a pole (i didn't have a garage) the rest of the bike was being worked on, in my basement (and what did't fit in my basement, for my mum's happines was stored in my bedroom). It took me 7 months to fix and put everyting back togheter (i am a novice and i didn't have much time in my hands). I probably found out about the cafe racer world because of the trends but I think it the fashion wi be dead by a long time when i will also get tired of it, the good thing about the cafe racer fashion is that it's bringing new people in, and yes most of them will loose interest but I am sure the pasionate ones will stick around for a long time, so don't hate on the craze, in the end it's a good thing.
They were originally called Cafe (Caff) Racers, this was due to the fact that the Ton up Boys all met at the Cafe's that were built on the main roads and motorways, and they weren't pretentious enough to put a hyphen over the e.
hi there, you gotta say those central Europeans, both men and women, look absolutely beautiful. I'd be standing out like a sore thumb at any of those events. lol the bikes also look beautiful and a work of mobile art. you're sooooo feckin lucky 🍀 to attend all those shows and events. 😀 👍 👍 👍 👍
Thank you my friend. I believe you are referring to the video footage about the "Distinguished Gentleman's Ride". But i am sure you can find something similar near from where you live, because the "Distinguished Gentleman's Ride" is a worldwide event, that occurs on most main cities of all Countries, and always in the last Sunday of September. Try to search on google about it. Cheers.
I think you brought up an interesting point and certainly a good perspective into the whole retro thing but for me it was Dodge ( the trucks new hood and front end design along with the pt cruiser) of course the Plymouth Prowler( Dodge) was not really a commonly seen car it WAS in the media enough to be a factor i think but of course VW and Mini Cooper went that same way ( not sure who was first to the retro automobile push) but now Ford,Chevy, and just about ALL do it lol I'm sorry but i can't help but think what cool cars and trucks they COULD be producing but was probably much cheaper to re engineer an old design than to have to engineer and manufacture completely NEW concept products because that would require a completely new line of materials, machinery, designers, training ,etc and you KNOW how unstable the automobile industry is depending on the economy, price of gas,etc much easier to just go with proven results lol this is LAZINESS as well as cowardly of those car companies that are greedy ,evil douchebags anyhow lol just give us something NEW it's 2018 sure you can keep the nostalgia factor with retro look and style just not ALWAYS at least put out a mustang or camaro that actually looks like a brand NEW design and keep those nostalgia models for limited editions lol
an interesting breakdown of the trend to retro or "throwback". But its also a part of the culture. there is a rejection of these modern times, modern music and fashion.
Yes, i was referring to "moto lady" from Malaysia. But you are right. There is also another "MotoLady" in USA. Thank you for your correction. :) Cheers.
I believe they started building cafe racers in England in the 1930's, but the concept would go back way further if you count the people that lightened and modified their street bikes to go racing. The purpose of the cafe racer is to produce a motorbike that is lighter, handles better and has better performance than a similar model that is left in stock condition. Many of the bikes featured on Racer TV do not match this definition, and are more closely related to the 'bobber' concept. Regardless, almost all the bikes here show innovative and creative design, and very few are not to my taste. Congratulations on maintaining such a high quality in these videos
Yes, i understand your opinion, but as i said in this video, this is only an explanation about the recent rebirth of cafe racers. But in my opinion, the original features of the earlier cafe racer, don't make much sence on nowdays. Maybe you should find one of my videos about that matter. Try to search on youtube for "The Best Cafe Racer Approach". But Thanks for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
I love the looks of the cafe racers but I bare in mind that they where made for going fast from one pub to the another pub. I don't think I would do my 3 day trip ( 1500km) on something like that. The are cool in the city for their simplicity but in the end not an 'all around ' bikes
yes, you are absolutely right. Cafe Racers were not designed to long trips. It is more like a second bike for short trips or to go to work almost every days. Thank you for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
Thanks for you sugestion. It is a CMC XY400 by moto lady( from Malaysia). I would love to make a video about it, but unfortunately, there is not enough photos/video material to create a full video review. :) Cheers.
the answer is: YES cafè racers were the latest sport motorcycles in the 70's and they were the ultimate sports machine modified to be the best performing motorcycles, so the real today caferacers are the supersport motorcycle with the best performing stuff mounted on'em.... what you nowadays call caferacers are vintage replicas of what "street racing" motorcycles were...
yep cafe racers only a mere fashion and it is one of the reasons why I left the classic scene and shifted to the more aggressive racers: Hashiriya cafe racers prioritize looks over performance. they chop up their fenders which defeats the purpose of deflecting mud, also chops the frame although it makes it lighter it also makes the bike more unstable. hashiriya on the other hand is the exact opposite.
Originally a Cafe Racer was a copy of the bikes winning at race tracks over the weekends, but now the bikes called "cafe racer" have never been seen on a track. So yes, a fashion statement is what they are.
It all depends on how the specific motorcycle is built: if it's neat, logic, well modified with no stupid senseless pendants, with a fine tuned engine and chassis...then it's Café Racer. If it's not, then it's not even a café racer, not even a motorbike, it's simply the fantasy come true of some extravagant stylist.
Sorry my friend, but my opinion about cafe racers is very different. I already talked about it in one of my videos. Try to search on youtube for "The Best Cafe Racer Approach". Cheers.
I've been a sub for long time on this channel. Haven't seen an 80's Honda Shadow cafe'd out. Does no one do this bike? I have an 84' and will be starting to work on the transition pretty soon however it would be nice to see if someone has done it already; in case I run into a snag
Its june 2018 is it "fashion" actually its industrial " ART".That happens to be in fashion to some. The rest its away of life either as a Vintage Racer on the track or as vissual art form as street transportation. The Ducati was inspirational as "Italian Design always has been" In the real world however in the 70s and eighties they made alot of ugly motorcycles , with long bumpy heavy seats for dual riders, High handle bars, crash bars and plain old ugly , big gocky turn signals ant tail lights ,trying to meet the marketeers, trying to please every taste in one bike. In second and third and forth hand condition, it just makes sense to strip all the ugliness away and make something more pleasing to the riders eye and sense of style. The Cafe Racer is the simpliest To formulate and cost effective Way to enhance that old bike appearance. So it really comes out of necessity.
A long time ago, I think I was in my early 20s back in the mid 2000s I always wanted a motorcycle. The problem was I couldn't really pin point what type I wanted. How can any devout petrolhead hate on cafe racers? They are a beautiful work of art in their own fashion.
Maybe because they like being against everything that is beautiful. Lol. Cheers.
You sir have a fantastic taste of music for your videos. Always very fitting.

age, looks, sound, engine, some see how many effort it has taken to look like does.
the fact that my bike puts a smile on all kinds of diffrent peoples face tells me that this is not just a moment, people preciate it for many reasons and it will never become a regular bike.
iff i could get a euro/ dollar for every thumbs up and picture i could have bought few other bikes by now.
i do think creativity will be needed and it has to look correct bit diffrent to get that wow factor over and over again.
many people love a rat bike/ car, patina, camouflage, math black, retro colors, modern combined with new (as long as its in harmony overall) it will allways be preciated.
oldtimers never bored us so why would a oldtimer bike?
there are many people that are going through a fasion fase thats correct.
some ride them for fasion some because the love for them and love of old stuff.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
RACER TV Hi there. If can say I'm addicted to RacerTV channel.

Whats cool can never die.
Indeed. :) Cheers.
KrisMoto23
Steve McQueen died.
Berni Beckmann but he actually lives on forever"as cool"
KrisMOTO23 its the "ART" of it that never dies its cool because its a great useful form of industrial art its not some thing you sit on a table or a shelf or hang on the wall.
I mean you could plenty of rich guys have them around just for art sake. But us mere mortals we love to use them like a favorite pair of jeans.
MindzDesign
If you're like most people your fave pair of jeans feel good to wear because good fit and you think you look good in them.
I use the pants analogy. Pants will never go out of style, material, color etc, can change but pants will always be around.
I am 66 years of age, and have had motorcycles since the age of 15, now I am building a 40 year old Suzuki GS550 into a café racer. Cant wait, till I can ride out on it. [ 8/22/2020 ]
Thank you dear Sir for sharing your perspective.Good luck for your project. :) Cheers.
Obrigado amigo. Fico contente que tenha gostado. :) Um abraço.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
Nice article with great pictures. I agree they have a timeless style.
I'm glad you liked my friend. :) Cheers.
Agreed- Cafe Racers are a breed apart with eternal appeal.
Thank you. I appreciate your support. :) Cheers.
RACER TV Who makes the music you use in your videos?
i feel that the 1989 honda gb500 deserves a nod here...
I have rode motorcycles for 35 years. If modern cafe racers are just a fashion...... i love it :D
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
Achei curiosa a frase de Coco Chanel, "Fashion fades, only style remains the same."
the first time i bought my yamaha srx 400 i have no idea what a cafe racer bike is.

Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
You are welcome my friend. My pleasure. And thank youfor sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
your videos are like a healthy addiction for me now.
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers.
The link to fashion is linked to the people that ride cafe racers not the cafe racer itself.
Thanks for one more awesome vídeo. Make make your words my own! For me, it doesn´t matter whether the cafe racer look is just a trend or not. In my opinion, this is how a motorcycle should look! Of course there many styles out there that are stuning but the cafe racer look does it for me!
Yes, i subscribe everything you said. Thank you for your comment. :) Um abraço.
I’m my opinion ! It’s making something to suit your own taste ! If you got style flaunt it 😎👍🏻🏁

Thank you my friend for your suggestion. I will keep it in mind. :) Thanks. Cheers.
So true. Cafe racers, retro bikes feed the soul. Fashion changes, style lives on.
Fashion is ugly that’s why they change it every year. Don’t be a fashion slave ✌️
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
beauty always in style , the beholder must see the balance the form of function. to understand.
E Vera amigo Victor vera porque as Cafe Racer estao fora do padrao sao unicas patrimônio da humanidade gracas a vc e seus espetaculares videos as Cafe Racers serão eternas

You are welcome my friend. I'm glad you liked. :) Cheers.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
My first bike was a 71 750 Bonneville cafe racer. I was building and riding cafe bikes before the hipsters discovered them and I’ll be building and riding them when the hipsters move on. If they don’t move on, the more the merrier!
Thank you for posting 👍
Rebirth? Fashion? Here in the UK 🇬🇧 they never went away in the first place! Caff Racers are no more or less popular now here than they were when I first got into bikes in the late 1980's...its maybe just the rest of the world (& manufacturers) have only cottoned on to this timeless style in the last few years. Good thought provoking video, thanks
👍👍
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
i love racer tv...! ride with pride
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers.

cafe racer never gets old ♡
Well said. The quote is perfect
Thank you. I'm glad you liked my friend. :) Cheers.
Take a look at Shibuya Honda CB700 ( 7 Galo ) .
Awesome work man
Yes, Shibuya garage has very beautiful projects. Unfortunately, there are only few photographs about each one, which are not enough for a full video. But thanks for your suggestion. Cheers.
what a perfect way to finish a video!!! amazing sound, thank you.
You are welcome my friend. My pleasure. Cheers.
Does anyone know what model of bike is at the very beginning with the girl on it ? Gorgeous bike. I like that fairing.
It is a CMC XY400 by moto lady( from Malaysia). I would love to make a
video about it, but unfortunately, there is not enough photos/video
material to create a full video review.
Muito bom esse vídeo parabéns from Brazil
Obrigado amigo. Fico contente que tenha gostado. :) Um abraço.
Love that Ducati ! Great video 👍🏻change and regenerate 😎🏍💨
Thank you my friend for your comment. :) Cheers.
felicidades muy buen video hermosas motos
Gracias amigo. Saludos
:standing ovation !Bravo!
Thank you my friend for your kind words :) Cheers.
Do I think cafe racers are a fashion? Yes
Do I think the fashion will die as soon as the craze stops? Yes
Did I buy a an old bike (to build a cafe racer) during the cafe racer craze? Yes
when i bought the bike i was 19, and where i live you can only ride motorcycle up to 35kw and 600cc at that age, I always wanted a bike and i wanted to wait until i was 24 (and able to ride a bike with no power restriction), then i found out about cafe racers, I fell in love, it was something completely different from what i always expected my bike to be (at first my go to bike would have been a ducati monster).
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
well said! great video!!
They were originally called Cafe (Caff) Racers, this was due to the fact that the Ton up Boys all met at the Cafe's that were built on the main roads and motorways, and they weren't pretentious enough to put a hyphen over the e.
awesome video !
I'm glad you liked. :)
Glad u back
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers.
hi there, you gotta say those central Europeans, both men and women, look absolutely beautiful.
I'd be standing out like a sore thumb at any of those events. lol
the bikes also look beautiful and a work of mobile art.
you're sooooo feckin lucky 🍀 to attend all those shows and events.
Cheers.
Cafe racers will be around for a long time yet, because quality is a fashion that NEVER goes out of style.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
an interesting breakdown of the trend to retro or "throwback". But its also a part of the culture. there is a rejection of these modern times, modern music and fashion.
agreed the content explained...
4:45 nice one👍
Thanks. It is a CMC XY400 by moto lady. Cheers.
RACER TV Cheers too..👍
RACER TV if you are reffering to motolady of usa, that's not correct sir. that bike is Malaysian based.
:) Cheers.
Whats the music playing in the back ground.. Somethings never changes, its evolve with styles
the fact is solid & very useful ,..
Thank you my friend for your comment. :) Cheers.
thanks for the video
love it 👍
Thank you. I'm glad you liked my friend.
:) Cheers
@4:44, can you please make a video of that bike in detail?
Thanks for you sugestion. It is a CMC XY400 by moto lady( from Malaysia). I would love to make a video about it, but unfortunately, there is not enough photos/video material to create a full video review. :) Cheers.
ok thanks!
you can ask the builder of lolita (caferacer). check his instagram "gmeejer" . see how his ahkustom bike work
the answer is: YES
cafè racers were the latest sport motorcycles in the 70's and they were the ultimate sports machine modified to be the best performing motorcycles, so the real today caferacers are the supersport motorcycle with the best performing stuff mounted on'em....
what you nowadays call caferacers are vintage replicas of what "street racing" motorcycles were...
yep cafe racers only a mere fashion and it is one of the reasons why I left the classic scene and shifted to the more aggressive racers: Hashiriya
cafe racers prioritize looks over performance.
they chop up their fenders which defeats the purpose of deflecting mud, also chops the frame although it makes it lighter it also makes the bike more unstable.
hashiriya on the other hand is the exact opposite.
I don't know about fashionable but they are definitely the most stylish.
Originally a Cafe Racer was a copy of the bikes winning at race tracks over the weekends, but now the bikes called "cafe racer" have never been seen on a track. So yes, a fashion statement is what they are.
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
Hatts off to you. Thank you
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers.
I wish to see more proyects with small engines
And there will be. Probably at the end of this month. :) Cheers.
OBRIGADO!
De nada. Um abraço amigo. :)
Cheers.
Cafè racers were the original custom motorcycle, and if they are a faze, then that faze has lasted for a great many years.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
of course
I've been a sub for long time on this channel. Haven't seen an 80's Honda Shadow cafe'd out. Does no one do this bike? I have an 84' and will be starting to work on the transition pretty soon however it would be nice to see if someone has done it already; in case I run into a snag
I have something near. Try to search on youtube for "Cafe Racer (Honda VF 750 Sabre by Lucky Custom and by K-Speed)". Cheers.
Is a Ducati Monster Diesel a 'cafe racer' style bike?
Its june 2018 is it "fashion" actually its industrial " ART".That happens to be in fashion to some.
The rest its away of life either as a Vintage Racer on the track or as vissual art form as street transportation.
The Ducati was inspirational as "Italian Design always has been"
In the real world however in the 70s and eighties they made alot of ugly motorcycles , with long bumpy heavy seats for dual riders,
High handle bars, crash bars and plain old ugly , big gocky turn signals ant tail lights ,trying to meet the marketeers, trying to please every taste in one bike.
In second and third and forth hand condition, it just makes sense to strip all the ugliness away and make something more pleasing to the riders eye and sense of style.
The Cafe Racer is the simpliest
To formulate and cost effective
Way to enhance that old bike appearance. So it really comes out of necessity.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
lovely 🏍
we need a video about the bike at the end :D
Adriansito Coronel there's a video about that bike in this channel
Nuno Cox cheers buddy, can't believe I missed that one. Such a beautiful and amazing bike
Yap, the video about the "Ducati 350 By Capelos Garage", is probably one of my best videos. :) Cheers.
Nice
It’s a timeless art form.
So are ducatis but they are also beasts :D
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
