Just did my clutch hardest bit was getting the stupid dpf out fortunately i purchased new flange nuts as i destroyed them taking it off. Other than that it is a decent day job
If you address that diff leaking nut problem. (This only works when not changing bearings) I recommend total removal of the center and take out the pinion. Measure the length of your crush tube. Then machine a tube form appropriate stock to same length. As you are not hopefully changing bearings. Now when you tighten the pinion nut to god tight. Everything should still be in spec. Done this more then ten times. On Many models of Landcruiser. For some reason the nut comes loose. Its not common but keeps happen to the same people! Then on the track they use a rattle gun to tighten it. F@#$%^&g the diff.
I know this is a terrible idea. I looked what Nissan did. As they don't fail like this. But how else do you prevent having to rebuild your diff? (Do not say"Just don't go rock crawling") Everytime you catch the drive flange on a rock. Then having 3.5T of LC rocking back, and hammering your pinion shrinking the crush tube. Then the flange nut comes loose , the oil comes out. Everything comes loose then the pinion and crown wheel go BANG. You could run a Superior Engineering Diff and pinion guard. Add 15Kg per diff pluss the $$$. Vehicles I did are still driving around 10+ years latter. No problems. Anyone with better solution?
