  • Hey everyone, today we're adding a cheesy twist to the classic Indian snack, Namak Para! These crispy and flavorful crackers are perfect for a quick and satisfying snack or a delicious party appetizer.
    What You'll Need:
    1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
    1 cup All-Purpose Flour
    1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
    1/2 teaspoon Salt
    1 teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
    1 teaspoon Nigella Seeds
    3 tablespoons Ghee/oil (clarified butter)
    Water (as needed)
    Let's Cook!
    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and carom seeds.
    Cut in the Ghee: Rub melted ghee into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.
    Add Water Gradually: Slowly add water, mixing until a soft, pliable dough forms.
    Rest the Dough: Cover the dough and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
    Roll and Cut: Roll out the dough into a thin circle. Cut into desired shapes (diamonds, squares, or triangles).
    Fry to Perfection: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the cut shapes until golden brown and crispy.
    Drain & Cool: Drain on paper towels and let cool before serving.
    Tips:
    Adjust the amount of salt and Parmesan cheese according to your taste preference.
    For a spicier version, add a pinch of red chili powder to the dough.
    Store Namak Para in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
