Always great humor and I've always enjoyed the cameo appearances in these old comedies. I'd forgotten how pretty Joan Collins was in her younger days ..Thanks for downloading!
The "Road" films brought so much pleasure to the world way back in the fifties and sixties. Recommended to Hope and Crosby fans in particular, with a cameo role for Dorothy Lamour. England, December, 2024..
I think Hope, Crosby and Lamour had a contract that required all of them to be in a movie if any one of the three was cast. If you watch "The Greatest Show on Earth" with Charlton Heston, Dorothy Lamour was cast in the film and Hope and Crosby appear in a cameo in the audience while she is performing.
I watched the curse of pink panther.. I had to switch it off a quarter way! Not even half way! Reason? Nobody can take the place of the great Peter sellers. Rowan Atkins took many inspirations from his movies. Very obvious when you compare. Peter sellers will be missed greatly ❤
..with shades of "Modern Times" with Charlie Chaplin; w/auto- matic feeder machine, in the factory; to save time and money?! That'n too is certainly an older classic.. ..thank you for these 'Road to' movies!! ~ small town AK-USA 🇺🇸❄🌻🐟🐻🌿🍄💮☃
Well, read certain books and one can make a case for Hope being a horrible person, as well as Sinatra. These people were 20th Century legends who attracted massive publicity, both good and bad. They were all truly great in my opinion - because I focus on the artistry, not the tittle-tattle...
@ Perhaps I should make it clear here … I never understood the attraction for Bing Crosby + I learned enough information about him to like him even less. Your comment is a non sequitur and this a platform for free and personal opinions. So don’t try to step on mine.!
@@TheMintyMelon You are correct, this is a platform for free and personal opinions - so perhaps you can see the irony in your reply to me. Then again, perhaps not...
"But what if he bites me on a place I can't reach?" "That's when you discover who your friends really are..." Very sly😉 I am slightly disappointed that a sarong joke wss not made; the visual joke was there, but it would have been funnIer if Dorothy Lamour would have made the crack "I wear it better!" or "Well, how do you guys like it!"😉
Great movie! apart from all the songs turning it into a Musical, is that the Irish influence or the Jewish influence? The wit seems British, but at that slapstick American pace... The good old days before the West became burdened with a Black negativity.
This film shows that even the "Road" picture franchise was milked dry. This one should never have been made. The music is pure American influence, not Irish, not Jewish. The wit certainly is American, not British. Your prejudice is on display. Whatever can you mean by "Black negativity"?
It was made in England, like many so called American movies such as Star Wars, and most of the actors like Bob Hope and Peter Sellers were English. And before you say Bob Hope was American, nope, he was born in England.
@@OriginalNiceButOddIn December 1920, 17-year-old Hope and his brothers became US citizens when their British parents became naturalised Americans. Bob was American. And a Republican which goes to show how deeply American he was.

Peter Sellers 💯
Dame Joan was so fine. And she's still kicking it in 2025 at 91. I would love an updated autobiography....
Amazing at Indian accent.
Not too much and not too less.
Perfect to give the
educated Indian character.
Brilliant ❤
Have a Happy New Year this 2025.
These films helped me through some difficult times. 😅 ❤

A lot of road films were done by Bing Crosby and Bob Hope. Peter Sellers was known for the Pink Panther movies.

Lordie, these were the best entertainment.
Чудесный фильм! До сих пор он актуален!

Joan's hair-helmet is fantastic! LOOK at that thing!! Even back then she was a tabloid idea of beauty.
Peter Sellers totally steals the scene from Hope and Crosby. Thats the only reason i even clicked this so u got me with Peter Sellers. It worked. Ha.
Nah! Felt a bit embarrassed for him.
Peter Sellers is the Indian doctor, very funny
Funny movie, enjoyable. 👍
Wow! 322 you know who you are. Does that amount to world peace. Stamps should probably be made to commemorate this classic. Pure America.❤

Hardly a British comedy but great nonetheless

I never understood the attraction for Bing Crosby. Apparently he was a horrible person in real life…
Thank goodness for Bob Hope in these movies.

This is not a British comedy film why’d you put that in the Clickbait title
It is a British comedy film - made at Shepperton Studios, England...
It was made in England, like many so called American movies such as Star Wars, and most of the actors like Bob Hope and Peter Sellers were English. And before you say Bob Hope was American, nope, he was born in England.

No Peter Sellers in the movie, click bait, thumbs down. Not watching.
Peter Sellers is in this movie - he has a cameo part as an Indian physician...
