what I love in your covers, it is that they are not just "metal cover of that theme". they are respecting the original version, and it makes it very cool. hopes and dreams is one of those few songs that really pull your heart strings. there are good songs, and then there are these. hopes and dreams makes me feel like i have to keep going, no matter the cost. it really does fill me with determination. the only other songs that make me feel like that is the streets of whiterun, which makes me feel homesick and hopeful, and rip and tear, which fills me with rage

Just recently played through Undertale for the first time on my own. Finished the true pacifist route a few days ago and bawled my eyes out. I remember first watching an Undertale playthrough years ago and listening to this track so frequently. Sometimes it feels good to come full circle. Great work.

All these years later and this track has yet to dull in my heart and mind. My favorite moment, the character I sympathize the most with, and the one who never got total resolution. While DR is on the horizon, I can't help but look back and keep this bit in my mind. And hopefully in future, some other hopes and dreams may save someone else's world.
Oh wow that is indeed very clever. In fact there are several layers to how smart Toby is in choosing the name, the most obvious being that it's a combination of Asgore's and Toriel's names, but also that Asriel is traditionally the name of the angel of death.

No offence to anyone but I think Hopes and Dreams is spoiled by the community because of how good it sounds. Songs like Megalovania are also like that but Megalovania isn't just music. It's a message about Sans. About how much effort he puts in to stop you from getting your soul taken and destroying humanity. It kinda bugs me to think that people are comparing these two songs when one is about finally achieving your dreams and the other one is about a depressed person who's forced to kill his old friend over and over again. Its not right so these two songs shouldnt be compared.

Just recently played through Undertale for the first time on my own. Finished the true pacifist route a few days ago and bawled my eyes out. I remember first watching an Undertale playthrough years ago and listening to this track so frequently. Sometimes it feels good to come full circle. Great work.

All these years later and this track has yet to dull in my heart and mind. My favorite moment, the character I sympathize the most with, and the one who never got total resolution. While DR is on the horizon, I can't help but look back and keep this bit in my mind. And hopefully in future, some other hopes and dreams may save someone else's world.

No offence to anyone but I think Hopes and Dreams is spoiled by the community because of how good it sounds. Songs like Megalovania are also like that but Megalovania isn't just music. It's a message about Sans. About how much effort he puts in to stop you from getting your soul taken and destroying humanity. It kinda bugs me to think that people are comparing these two songs when one is about finally achieving your dreams and the other one is about a depressed person who's forced to kill his old friend over and over again. Its not right so these two songs shouldnt be compared.

-cut to Asgore and Nabstablook above and behind the main stage controlling the lights and effects (Asgores eyes blink the color of the lights as they change between light blue and orange)
-the lights dim, the show is starting!
- a brief silence settles as the stage is turned completely dark. 00:00 begin
- an orange spotlight on Alphys with her black dress with a now more punkish look to it, with headphones on at an eletric keyboard
-00:08 now an orange spotlight reveals Papyrus playing lead guitar, strumming with a red heart shaped guitar pick
-00:13 an orange spotlight reveals Undyne at a full set of drums with magic spear drumsticks
