My trip to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay in October 2018 were my favorite of all the places I’ve been so far. Friendly people, delicious fresh food and beautiful scenery. The restaurant that you had the Pho at was my very first meal in Hanoi and it was so delicious and very affordable.
@Judy Do, I couldn’t remember the name of the restaurant, unfortunately. It just happened to be around the corner from the hotel I stayed at, Artisan Lakeview Hotel.

Kevin Calderon This is late but that is standard size for us. Vendors like those only ever prepare chairs that suit both school children and adults, as a matter of fact, I can hardly recall getting to seat while eating at these vendors throughout my childhood.
@@kennethhwang3425 Yup. Vendors do it that way because they're cheap to buy and easy to store away (the chairs are stackable and lightweight). And if they get stolen, again, they're cheap to buy and replace. 🤷🏻♀️
I know it sounds like I'm promoting my OWN channel but you guys should definitely try the Vietnamese STICKY RICE. You will ABSOLUTELY love it! It's packed with over 10 different ingredients!!!!
The Pho Bo up there was great but if you're looking for a place to compare the taste of that dish, i suggest to try it out at 23 Hang Muoi str 3 mins from the Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter. The broth was killing and dont forget to get yourself a special dipping side dish called "quay" (frying donut)! Worth it! Just note them all down for your Vietnam highlights as i did!
As a Vietnamese, I must admit the Vietnamese food vendors lack of food safety and sanitation practice; otherwise, they would increase customers by 10 folds.

Vietnamese culture is very similar to Chinese
North Vietnam is connected to China. It’s very easy for the China to enter Vietnam but difficult for ANYbody else to enter China.
