Happy New Year Alec. Bit short in defence, sounds like Balogun is still goosed. If so, my guess would be: Butland, Sterling, King, Propper, Jefte, Raskin, Dio, Bajrami, Igamane, Danillo, Cerny. Okay mate. I’ve been having CBT. So I reckon I can keep the triumphalism in check and we can have a decent convo about music and art and politics. Talking real for a minute. I’m in the middle of sending my East German brother in law my fav blues tracks to pass on to my German in laws who are blues nuts. Huns. Beautiful, amazing, smart huns who you are privileged to be associated with. You can attach labels and use words for groups of people but the important part is intention. And context. Well played rangers. By far the better team
The goal in the 2007 game was a penalty scored by Boyd. I checked the exact dates of the games before this year's game at Fir Park and noted that it was just short of 18 years since the 1-0 victory in 06/07. This season's game was right at the end of December and the game back in the day was right at the start of January.
Top info as always, Nick. Don't know why I thought it was Prso - probably coz I loved the big man so much - but yeah the festive period schedule always seems really intense when you look back on it, squeezed as it is around the actual festivities.
Happy new year Alec super pod , some sad memories recalled by yourself , we never truly get over the loss of those dearest to us do we? After yesterday's presser by the unflappable big baldie Belgian , what crisis he claims ? If St Mirren hadn't got those shots on target we would have won , same at Fir Park ...the fans love him ( he claims) , "in that way " ...whatever that means . All this negativity can be dispelled by working harder and harder and getting better and better ....his favourite go to mantra . Afraid of being sacked ? Not a chance ...whoever gave him that assurance should also be to told to return their jacket and executive tie ( not forgetting the gold key for the board members toilet ) Another year begins , but not much changes ...14 points behind the hoops , don't look at it like that he says , if the opposition hadn't managed to get those shots on target in the past two games we would be fine . The man has just put a whole new meaning to existentialism.
Eck happy new year to you and family. You really cheered me up last year . More than the fitba. You … without joking have an excellent singing voice . I used to work in the music industry so I can tell. Take your glasses off .. put on a wee wig .. suck your belly in and I believe we have a charles aznavour Tribute act . I could be your manager . x
Happy New Year Eck, no pandering from me, it's still, ''The Old Firm Derby'', for me and always will be, the fiddlers may control the fixture computer and the refs department but they'll never control me.
I’m chilled about slurs of any nature. But I would discourage you from being too flippant about child sex abuse. It’s an important issue and it undoubtedly happened within Celtic boys club and the Catholic Church. It happened and is happening elsewhere even still. You can be way more witty about potatoes and rosary beads and nuns and priests. Celtic fans aren’t all “fiddlers”. In fact some of the fans and the players have been victims. Be a shame to further stigmatise some poor fellow human for the sake of a cheap dig on comments section of an absolutely lovely guys rambling podcast. Fat Eck’s mask has slipped so far it’s rattling round his ankles. He hates puddle drinking bastards but we love him more when he plays hard to get.
Happy New Year Eck and Happy (I wish) Birthday to me. Marquis, Smillie and Hytner would be my celebrity hostess Goddess front three. Contemplating their divinity, my mind’s ear hears Clair de Lune and puts footballing enmity into perspective.

Happy New Year, Daz. Hope you're having a guid yin, mucker🎉🍻 Aye, is the spring-onion a bit dangerous if taken to excess? Thanks for the heads up, sir - especially as I only really do excess😬😩😆😆🍻
Happy New Year Alec. All the best to you and your family. The fixture rolls round again and once more we must think about away allocations. As much as Celtic have attempted to mess around with the arrangements over the last 6 and half years this godforsaken situation is entirely down to Rangers. For what purpose I know not. With your ear to the ground amongst the patrons, what's the most you can live with? I say 10% each stadium which in the case of Ibrox is 2/3 of the old allocation which would preclude Celtic fans from going all the way around one of the goals and would be convenient because I believe Rangers have 45000 season tickets sold. What do you say to promoting this proposal amongst Rangers fans?
👏👏👌Hundred percent, MultipleMan. Great shout. We should start a Go Fund me for the statue of that bona fide hero. All we ask is that the sculpture is ridged.
@@multipleman78 THEY DID BBQ RIBS??!! Why was I never told about this??? Salivating emojis all round! I'm intrigued by Sizzling King Prawn too. Never noticed that flavour either. Is it in a mixed six pack with two chicken and two steak or am i just imagining that? For me McCoys is always a six pack of flame grilled steak. I turn my nose up at anything else they do, like, for example the mixed six pack of two cheese 'n onion, two ready salted and two salt and vinegar. I prefer those flavours done by Golden Wonder or even Walkers. For some reason I feel the ridge cut ameliorates the flavour of those standards but positively boosts the oomph of the steak. But now I'm hearing about options 2 and 3 (RIP), I see I've been a myopic fool. WHY DID I DISCOVER THIS ON A DAY WHEN MORRISONS IS SHUT??!!
@ according to their website, Morrisons do a fantastic 6 pack. 2 x Flame Grilled Steak, 2 x Sizzling King Prawn and 2 x Thai Sweet Chicken. Talk about salivating, that 6 pack is as good as it gets. With BBQ Ribs gone, sliding into number 3 would be Thai Sweet Chicken. A burny burny number but oh so worth it. A wee mint aero to cool the jets after those is a stunning combo. They seemed to have removed a few flavours from their website. I don’t see Paprika, Chargrilled Chicken, Bacon Sizzler or Mexican Chilli. Shame.
Not a bad voice! We are going to concede but I think we can force a score draw. Phil cannot survive a real humping. He might put Bajrami on McGregor again. Igamane gives me hope we can worry them. Have a great year!

9. You know, with that hood you look almost like a monk. There was actually a famous Roman Catholic monk named Johanne Eck. I can’t remember much about him, except that he wanted Martin Luther beheaded or something. On reflection, it’s probably unlikely that you’re related. I predict the mother of all humiliations for your tribe on Thursday, but, apart from all that, I wish you all the best for the year ahead. It must be tough being a Rangers fan.

@@douglasstrachan8833 Thanks, Douglas. Thanks for giving it a listen again, sir. Aye, there's plenty reason for negativity this season but just as much for cheer - we have to do a bit more circling of the wagons these days, as a support, as far as I'm concerned.

I’d love to believe this give him time but I think your ignoring that no other manager in recent memory has recovered from being so far behind. Plus there is no confidence
Despite the mirrored pessimism and optimism by the respective sets of fans, rangers have a sporting chance, but only, i suggest, if they drop butland. If jefte plays left wing he must be a bet to score at big odds. A picture tells a thousand words they say but joyce might dusagree. Delirium tremens, which the noble twin brothers, bung ivy and bung ardelon grew ever in their divine ale vats. They garnered the succulent berries of the hop, and they mixed therewith sour juices, those cunning brothers, Lords of the Vat. Remember to drink irresponsibly.
yes but the power of the ready salted , rangers need to accept to see the salt and shake of balance start slow and work to paprika, trying to catch the hand cut chicken and sage of the east will take along time .. reality of new rangers .. sorry love the your content.

Great podcast Eck, you have a new sub. Happy New Year.
My hot takes bring all the Bhoys to the yard hahaha i'm creased at that Alec, genius🤣
Happy New Year Alec. Bit short in defence, sounds like Balogun is still goosed. If so, my guess would be: Butland, Sterling, King, Propper, Jefte, Raskin, Dio, Bajrami, Igamane, Danillo, Cerny.
Probably 1-4, but you never know maybe a sneaky 1-0 with a Leon King header from a corner (incorrectly given and not overturned by VAR of course). 😂
All the love in the world to you and the family!
Happy New Year Eck & thanks for the fabulous pods, looking forward to more in 2025 in the context of a resurgent Gers surprising us all beyond expectation 💙💥
I like the sound of that, Shanty. Bring it on and let it commence today. Hope you're having a Happy New Year so far too, my friend and thank you so much for giving the pods your time in 2024. 💙💪🍻
Happy New Year! Hope 2025 is a great one for you and your family.
I'm so glad you're there with your alternative thinking on why we are where we are and why it's not all on PC but I fear that less realistic voices will prevail and he'll need to go...
@@lorrainemurray7222 And the same to you and yours, Lorraine - all the very best for 2025. Many thanks for giving the pod your time. Yeah, I think a tanking in today's game could be made almost excusable by our injury list but injuries themselves are now being seen as Clement's fault and seven derbies without a win will be a difficult sell to the board, far less the majority of our fans. Big day for PC.
Happy new year m8, all the best 🎉
A Happy New Year to you and yours, Stewart. Cheers, Sir💙🍻
Happy New Year Eck
@@JohnMclean-ew7ym All the very best, John. Cheers, sir.
Happy New Year to Alec 'the legend' Anderson. After tomorrow I hope it's a good one for you mate! 🍀

aye what a game that was mate, keep the top pods coming we love your stuff aye it's all Rangers but the singing, the history all the extra stuff you bring, every one should be listening :)
You are a character eck and a fair singer your team is not doing well but at least you still make your pod fun happy new year to you and your family
Happy New Year to you and yours, Thomas and many thanks, both for giving the pods your time and being one of the few people to recognise my singing prowess. 😅 A connieusseur, sir🍻
Just a brilliant listen on a return journey to Dundee today sir! We are due some good fortune soon given our incredible support for this Club through thick and thin! 😂 Amy Irons fast becoming my new Jackie Bird crush! 💙 Daughter of Clydebank legend Davie btw! Will be cheering on the Teds to victory tomorrow - dead rubber or not! Just get into these Bs! 🤣🤣💙💙. Happy New Year you broadcasting legend!
@@andyhillis7158😆🫡 Thanks so much, Andy, you legend of the written word! Hope you and yours are having a great New Year. Loved my three night stay in the City of Discovery during the October week. Hope you enjoyed it's delights today. Yeah, Davie Irons' daughter - I'd forgotten that - so we know she'll have the same stamina for the gig as Jackie B then. Many thanks again for sticking with my mad ramblings and helping keep me sane (-ish) . Aye, bring it on tomorrow. If our defence is all ill, let's just go total AC Milan 1994 Champions League final on their ass. Let's do this, Ted's💪💪💙💙👍
Meant to say - step change crisp ‘love in’ this year was a 6 pack Turkey and Stuffing Golden Wonders! 😂😂 let’s hope we break the hearts of those ‘Bhoys from the yard’ tomorrow! WATP! 💙
@andyhillis7158 Turkey and Stuffing??!! Superb! Again, how did I never see these?? Gonnae keep my eyes peeled in Morrisons - see if I can get them half price next week. Aye, would also like a change of flavour in the Old Firm derby - gone a bit tasteless recently.💪💪💙🍻

@@Staunch.Staffy Thanks, Staffy and right back at ye, bud. Hope it's a great year for you and yours.
Eck, Happy New Year and Mony Mair.
Happy New Year Eck. I’m a Bit slow this morning to the pod, skin full last night. One of the wee 💎 we talked about months ago on its way this Thursday. PC is doing the job we need him to do. The paper sellers want it to fail, but we know, we know.
All the best Alex!
All the very best Eck, from a fellow Ayrshire Bear. Hogmanay for me consisted of some ‘barbecues and ball games’ 😁
@@allywheels21Yass! 🤌👌I love it, Ally🫡 For me, the action is the juice... as long as it's the action in a ball game I'm watching and the juice is BBQ flavour💪🎬 Hope you and yours have a brilliant 2025, mate.
Happy New year Eck , I love your collection of Recipe books, Have you tried Spring Onion crisps in your pie's 🧅🥧😋🥳🥃🍀🏆🏆🏆
Happy new year. I’m gonna try not be triumphant tomorrow. X
Brilliant’Eck 👏👏👏
Very best wishes for 2025 🥳
C’mon the Rangers ❤️🤍💙
Cheers, M - appreciate you giving it your time as always, my friend and all the very best to you and yours for 2025.
Yup, let's go Teds! ❤️🤍💙
Happy New Year neighbour, Genius prose up there wae hamish Imlach , matt mcginn n fyffe robertson
Keep yer eyes oan that wee spider🕷️🕸️ 🏴🥃🥃
Not a chance ...whoever gave him that assurance should also be to told to return their jacket and executive tie ( not forgetting the gold key for the board members toilet )
Another year begins , but not much changes ...14 points behind the hoops , don't look at it like that he says , if the opposition hadn't managed to get those shots on target in the past two games we would be fine . The man has just put a whole new meaning to existentialism.
Eck happy new year to you and family. You really cheered me up last year . More than the fitba.
You … without joking have an excellent singing voice . I used to work in the music industry so I can tell.
Take your glasses off .. put on a wee wig .. suck your belly in and I believe we have a charles aznavour
Tribute act .
@@kianmcclure9528 I would discourage you or anyone from supporting a club with such a disgusting and inhumane history.
Happy New Year Eck and Happy (I wish) Birthday to me. Marquis, Smillie and Hytner would be my celebrity hostess Goddess front three. Contemplating their divinity, my mind’s ear hears Clair de Lune and puts footballing enmity into perspective.
Thanks for the breakdown! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Happy new year big stuff 🥳
p.s You can’t do spring-onion on the regular though 😲😂
Happy New Year, Daz. Hope you're having a guid yin, mucker🎉🍻
Aye, is the spring-onion a bit dangerous if taken to excess? Thanks for the heads up, sir - especially as I only really do excess😬😩😆😆🍻
@ 🤣🤣🤣 all good here mate and it’s the season for excess so you’re all good 😂👌
Happy New Year Alec.
Whoever created Flame Grilled Steak Mccoys should be lauded just as much as Fleming is for penicillin.
😂😂 🔥 🥩
👏👏👌Hundred percent, MultipleMan. Great shout. We should start a Go Fund me for the statue of that bona fide hero. All we ask is that the sculpture is ridged.
@ top 3 flavours of McCoys
1. Flame Grilled Steak
2. Sizzling King Prawn
3. BBQ Ribs (no longer available)
Big eck is an institution 😅
the problem is eck that even if the team becomes better celtic are movin forward at an even faster rate of knots
Mary Marquis used to live along the road from me. I never saw her looking anything other than perfect, she didn't do joggers, trainers & curlers. She was like royalty.

At the moment i cant listen to any other football podcasts so much negativity mostly from other Rangers minded ones, i have to agree with every word you have said here. Support means when we win or lose.
@@douglasstrachan8833 Thanks, Douglas. Thanks for giving it a listen again, sir. Aye, there's plenty reason for negativity this season but just as much for cheer - we have to do a bit more circling of the wagons these days, as a support, as far as I'm concerned.

I think in fairness Prso had become somewhat crocked by the the 06/07 season.
At what point does Eck preview the match, it’s nearly 2nd January and he’s not got to the game preview yet? 😂

Yep, Pat Phoenix as Elsie Tanner on the cover of The Smiths single Shakespeare’s Sister
