In fairness, they initially announced Butland as starting in goal at 2.50 and by 3pm they announced it was Liam Kelly. I remember the first time I went to see Rangers at Ibrox - January 2005 - I was expecting Stefan Klos to start in goal and they announced the goalkeeper as Allan McGregor, a player who at that time, I had never heard of.
Many thanks for trying to bail me out, Nick. The best laugh is that when Dundee finally mounted a semi-decent attack, in around the 44th minute, I literally thought to myself, "gawd, Butland's had nothing to do this half. Clement should really have let Liam Kelly get a run out today". Thank god I didn't say this out loud or the dozen or so friends sat round me in the season ticket seats would have loudly mocked me. No, instead I waited til the pod after the game which has been viewed by a thousand Rangers fans!!! 😬😄 Aye, that's a beautiful memory there: disappointment that it's not Klos but instead it's a goalie who would go on to be far greater even than Stefan. Yes I perceived those events in the same way that you did in the stadium - the Cerny goal seemed more offside than the Hagi disallowed goal. I didn't celebrate until VAR confirmation came through.

Yes I perceived those events in the same way that you did in the stadium - the Cerny goal seemed more offside than the Hagi disallowed goal. I didn't celebrate until VAR confirmation came through.
