The noise that comes out of the exhaust of the average Alfa is magical. I have been lucky to own a few starting from the Alfasud which was probably the best hatchback ever followed by the Sprint, Giulietta,Alfetta and finally the Gtv6 l have a lot of respect for these cars and they have given me the most fun.I am proud to be called a petrolhead thanks to Alfaromeo😂🎉🎉:38 11:3811:3811:3811:38 d a and
I once drove one of these, and was about 1km behind 4 cyclists. I managed to get it into 2nd gear, and the road was long, straight and clear to give them a burst of the music. All 4 of their heads turned in one, as they thought they were being overtaken by the Devil 😂
Nice. I had one in that color but a same typ of car crashed from behind in mine, on my birthday, about 20 years ago. I was very mad and angry. Insurance paid me and i bought an other one. I also bought one for spares and when i just had my driving license, i also had one. The one i bought with the insurance money is red but was factory black, so it will be black again. It has A/C in it. I totally dismantled the car to restore it. So, since i have my driving license, i have such a car. Thats 27 years. I will restore the car and it will always be mine. I have most spare parts triple times. Regards from Belgium.
You have really amazing car and I really appreciate the originality so your decision to bring the car back to the original spec is the only right thing
Beautiful GTV6 - I also own one in red but unfortunately only scaled in 1/18, hehe. When I was a young adult I was even almost buying one as an used car. But at the end my parents didn't allow me, haha. I think mine was the pre-facelift Alfetta GT with the splitted tail lamps. Amazing looking car - also this model here is in such a good shape. So rare to see ... like also the Alfasud. The Alfasud also had an amazing design and the Alfasud Sprint even had some similarities in design to the Alfetta GT/GTV6
The rear window wiper is an aftermarket item really not seen on this car before. The big lump unit shown in the inside at 9.21. So quite original could be argued.
Nice narration. The weight of these cars is actually a bit lower than officially stated. Harry from "Harry's garage" often puts cars on corner scales, and did this for a GTV6 too. (I think it came out at about 1150kg).
These cars were very special , I know , I had one in the 80s / 90s . What was so special was that - after astronomical repairprizes - they finaly rotted away in about 11 years , leaving you bankrupt . Good looking piece of SHIT ! A good looking piece of SHIT .
Thank you for the comment 😊 they really do rusty but they look great and the engines are very cool 👍 in some point maybe you have right because you had owned 👍😊
Kiri, I owned the 2 liter 4 cilinder version from 87 to 95 . After a complete rebuild and tuning , costing around 9000 Euro , it put out 155 BHP . Weiging a 100 kg less than the 6 cyl , it was just as fast !!!!!!! I did the Nurburgring in 9 minutes 40 seconds with it in 1992 . Besides the engine almost all the other mechanical stuff and electric stuff went bust . After 11 years it finaly rotted out on me . I went broke and desillusioned in 1995 and will never ever buy an Alfa again . When it was sound , it was a hell of a car , it could outrun a 308GTB in corners ! But it broke down so often , and repair costs were astronomical ! And finaly it rotted away with perfect mechanics and electric stuff ! You can't imagine how much I HATE Alfa Romeo to ever sell such a tempting sedusive piece of SHIT to people ! To this day I still want that management to be hanged ! SCUM !
@@chriskappert1365 👍 you have the right to say your opinion but don’t forget even Mercedes between middle 90s to 2010 they do rust as well even very badly and we talking about the best car on the road. Not only that but the new Mercedes’ will bankrupt you as well because they are not that reliable like years ago Anyway I like your opinion Thank you 😊
@@kirisgarage8590 your absolutely right about the C class ! I have seen em even worse than my Alfa . So , that Mercedes management shoult be hanged as well SCUM !
@@kirisgarage8590 Alfettas do NOT rust if garaged! I maintain my fathers Alfetta 1.8 original berlina from new in England, which is always damp and raining, and it was always garaged. Zero rust. They do not rust if they are looked after. I agree what you said. My friend grew up in Germany in the 1970s and he said BMWs and MErcedes rusted just as well left outside in winters and through the year. Indeed all 70s cars to a certain degree rust and it is a pity the press picked on Italian cars.
I am lucky to have a unit from 1983 with air conditioning, very useful here in Spain. Greetings.

Once you start with Alfa then is very hard to change and find another brand to replace 👍😊 thank you 😊

Thank you. For the UK market this is really very well preserved example but maybe there are some small upgrades 👍
Thank you for bringing me knowledge on this brand. We hear little in US media from Alpha Romeos past heritage.
They were great cars and hopefully will come were they deserve 👍
