Hi there! I’ve been watching your videos, and I’m really inspired by the way you explain everything so clearly. I want to change my accent to sound more like an American, especially with a deep voice. With so many great playlists on your channel, could you please guide me on where to start and which videos I should follow step-by-step for the best results? My goal is to learn an American accent with a deeper voice, so I’d love to know which playlist to watch first. Your content has been incredibly helpful, and I’m excited to keep learning from you!
When I speak using the schwa as the center of gravity it seems like my whole voice gets into a deeper pitch and I feel like I'm missing the humurous tone of my natural speech too(which comes from Brazilian Portuguese). I do want to sound more as a native english speaker, but now I'm playing on how I can keep that center of gravity without sounding so constrained.
Play with it. If it gets you closer to the correct sound, then maybe. To me it seems if you shift right, the Adam's Apple might lower a bit, but I don't recommend trying to push it down directly bc that likely won't give you the right result
I'm just referring to what I explained in the video: moving the top of the throat down and forward a bit. "Shift" is just one way to refer to the movement from one place (your native posture) to another (American English posture). The word doesn't mean anything special
Link to the playlist at the very end. If you're looking to work with me, there's a link to my italki profile either in the description of this video or in the most recently posted one

I speak arabic and I think that arabic also pushes the tongue forward and up.
Say, If I push the Adam's apple down, would that help?

@@NativeEnglishHacks in your reply you mentioned shifting right, can you elaborate on it a bit more? Thanks!
