Loved the property tour! I went during the heights of covid and not all parts were open but they really won me over with customer service more than anything. I can tell you that the food they serve at the candlelit dinners too seem to be elevated versions of some of the menu items in the restaurant. EVERYTHING they served for the 4 courses tasted great. The jerk spot in the day actually does different grill and roasted items too that actually was a highlight food wise for me. But yeah the food was hit or miss for me. But felt like it was a gem, wasn’t over crowded, and service was on point. U literally cover everything tho Amanda 😂. Great review 🙌🏾

Never been to Negril so it’s on our bucket list!!! We celebrated our honeymoon in Ocho Rios in 1997!!! So Jamaica is very special in our hearts!!! One Love!!!

Stayed there in Dec 22, loved it. Was in building 8, swim up room. Had great time. The entertainment team is amazing.

I just got back from this resort and stayed in that exact same room! A friend was asking me all these questions about the resort so I just sent her this video and happened to notice the room number. What a coincidence!

We will be going back to the hotel Riu Negril from the U.K. for the fifth time since I retired i like snorkelling just of the hotel beech at bloody bay 7 miles beech seems quieter and cleaner but we like visiting and talking to the locals at beech huts at bloody bay Jamaica has just what we won’t from a holiday and has become a second home to us now we were very surprised when crossing the road from the shopping centre at 7 miles beech to get back to the beach bars the traffic stop right away for use some thing that doesn’t happen in the U.K. even when you are on a light controlled crossing you have to be wary before you cross, I guess everybody’s in a hurry in the UK

Nice property-definitely a venue I would like to chill out. Playing cricket on the beach-awesome. First time I have seen that offering. BTW: Your batting skills-very respectful with good form. The bowling, not so much. You jus a fling the ball. Lol but enjoyable.

Yes all the restaurants are free & only the motor water activities have a cost attached to them

Thank you for the review!!! This video has me so excited and I can not wait until I visit next month. Am I to assume guest are use Jamaican dollars and not US dollars for tipping and paying for the activities not included with the resort? I was not sure if I need to exchange the money before leaving the states.
No no need to change if you don’t want to, the staff would gladly accept tips in US dollars

I think this is Presidential Suite and not an Ocean view Deluxe. Did you get yourself upgraded since you mentioned before entering the room that you have an oceanview deluxe.
I have booked Azul today after seeing your video, thinking this is regular ocean view.

This was not ocean view deluxe as stated in the beginning of the video. Ocean View Deluxe does not have a bath tub, neither does premium, so it must be royal suite. Thanks for the vlog!
yea i never realized they upgraded me to presidential but the paper work they sent me said ocean view deluxe

im glad you enjoyed it and i spent 3 days and 2 nights, you could spend a little longer if you wish to experience the different restaurants because some are open on particular nights

I am a travel agent & sell Jamacia with ease day in day out but Stuck on what hotel to book for myself & my boyfriend as I want it to be perfect. I've been looking for weeks and booking tomorrow looked at Vlog after Vlog & found yours and you have just made me decide to book this hotel! Jamaica is my dream destination & I hope thanks to you've ive found my dream hotel! I was stuck between Negril & Ochio Rios but the beach is the most important to me & am i right that Negril has the better beach? X
I just returned. 40 of my family attended. The line staff and resort was a 5. Be careful how you run around at night alone and don’t allow anyone to clean your room without mentioning anything that happened. The beach was excellent.

Very informative video! Currently browsing options for me n my husband's anniversary....is it possible to say what the rate was like and the security deposit?
The rate for the rooms varies based on the time of the year and we paid $60US at the time for the security deposit
Stayed here last month and did not enjoy my stay… they had no authentic Jamaican food

Honestly i was in awe from the moment I saw this.. waana go here before the year ends.. question tho .. ik its all inclusive... But good wise did u have to pay any additional money? Or room service or did they give u any kinda charge etc... Also the security deposit how much was that.. i am trying to map out an estimate budget so i can know what am working with
It was all inclusive & I did get back the security deposit …at the time I think we paid $60

Thanks so much for this very thorough review! How was the food?? And what room was this? Also, were stores, bars and restaurants off resort close by on the beach within walking distance? I guess I’m asking how is the resort location? Did the hotel offer excursions?
The hotel offer some excursions but for the most part they offer transportation to different areas that does the excursions, on the beach there weren’t many places that sell souvenirs on the beach but along the 7mile stretch you’ll be able to find places that do
The location of the hotel isn’t bad
I always get sugar on my rim.... salt always kills a margarita for me... while others love it
10301 what room type is that! It's a really spacious room and I thought you said it was a Ocean View Deluxe Suite but those rooms are only 398 sq ft.

Did they do nightly shows and have a decent size venue for them?,& was the liquor actually top shelf & seem to be not watered down like most?..
yes I can say that the liquor that we got was top shelf and the shows tht i saw they had enough space for them
Amazing review! How long can you walk on the beach from the resort? Can you walk along 7 mile beach from the resort and walk 1-2 hours? or does the resort have a fence so it is restricted ? I'm a big walker and beaches in Montego Bay are only as long as the resort? THANKS!
We went there 5 years ago and you can walk a very long way. if you google the resort and then get the satellite view, you can walk right to booby Cay / Lloyds hole on the beach which comes to a reef and other resorts such as Sandals. unsure if you can pass them heading west. If you go back towards Azul resort you can keep walking as far as you want to. we did one walk which took us to a "stall/beach shop" which had a display of wooden art including a giant cock, yes really it was huge. That walk was a couple of KM i think but don't quote me. Going back this summer because it is just great there ( the resort i mean) 😄
