Einstein was upset because he realized Oppenheimer was right, that their work would lead to an arms race that could escalate into WWIII, destroying the world as a result. The realization consumed him in that moment and he ignored Strauss while walking by.

Greta Girwig picked the word sublime. If you watch carefully Margot Robbie almost starts to smile or laugh because on every take Ryan Gosling said something different.

There is a reputed quote from Einstein supposedly said after the war when asked what weapons might be used in the next world war. After several minutes of meditation, he said. "I don't know what weapons might be used in World War III. But there isn't any doubt what weapons will be used in World War IV." "And what are those?" a guest asked. "Stone spears," said Einstein.

The hydrogen bomb creates way more energy/ power because it causes fusion which is the combination of two atoms into one. But in order for the two atoms to be combined they need extreme heat to create the fusion. So to achieve this they use a atomic bomb to cause the fusion because it creates extreme temperatures.

@@LifeofaQuinn A nuclear plant uses fission to get energy. A controlled version of the first atomic bombs. While the sun 'uses' fusion to get energy like the hydrogen bombs.

YES i think i watched it 3 times within the first year it was out and still not tired of any of it. the sequencing and lack of dialogue and backstory is so cool

Nolan has been on fire since DUNKIRK. His 3 most recent works are in fact my Top 3 favorite films of his. TENET also deserves a lot of appreciation in my view (this is officially my favorite Nolan film now). I rewatched TENET recently when it rereleased on IMAX last month for one week, and I was blown away not only by the concept and it's execution, but more importantly the handling of exposition (way better handled than INCEPTION in my view), the fast-paced storytelling that never wastes time to get to the chase (I was able to keep track of things very easily when watching) and of course the editing and score. Literally every aspect of the movie was a massive step up from his previous efforts.
It is fitting that TENET marked the first time he worked with his editor Jennifer Lame and composer Ludwig Göransson (I personally now think Jennifer Lame should've won Best Editing for TENET, and I consider her Oscar win for OPPENHEIMER more of a makeup win for that).
I would love to hear your thoughts on TENET, and maybe a reaction video if possible? SIDE NOTE: Pay attention to one scene in TENET, which incidentally has quite a meta reference in one scene.

Excellent video. I went to see the premiere of Oppenheimer but the screening of the film failed, and they told me you can go see the Barbie movie and whenever you want you can see the Openheimer movie with your same ticket. so I was able to see two premieres with the same ticket.

When you think about how the bomb works its rather simple. The hard part is discovering that uranium and plutonium can create fission. A neutron can split uranium (an atom) into 2 pieces creating 2-3 new neutrons. This creates insane amounts of energy. Those 2-3 new neutrons can then do the same to more uranium creating a chain reaction. The hard part was creating enough uranium 235 from uranium 238. In nature uranium is found at like 99% 238 and only 1% 235 uranium. Because uranium 238 is stable and cannot be splir causing fission.

Loved your reactions on the Barbie movie! 😊 But I gotta ask, did you genuinely enjoy it? I just uploaded a video dissecting it, and I've got some major gripes with the Hollywood white feminism and the whole capitalist glorification angle. 🤔 I truly believe we can do better. Still, your content is always top-notch! Keep up the great work! 🌟

thanks! I like this movie yeah it’s a fun romp with sweet morals and veryy relatable commentary. I did genuinely like everything except the moments with the mattel ceo’s. don’t think any of the jokes landed and those characters didnt even prove to really have a purpose. (particularly them chasing after the real people going to barbieland bc it could mean “weird things” for our world yet we never saw any weird things and when the ceo’s got there, late, they didnt do much of anything) think they couldve done away with that :/ overall, yes we can do better but i think it was still important for what it was and i had a good time

Loved Barbie I cried watching it on theaters back in July, also I did watched both movies the same day, I watched Barbie first but honestly because of the schedules so watching Barbie almost crying, then Oppenheimer was a wild ride and I got scared when the sound of the bomb came cause it was really loud
