It's not just about running, it also means ethnicity.
They pronounced Tagalog well it is because Filipino pronunciation is actually based on the Spanish phonemes or sounds.
"don't think about it, just eat!" hahaha that's a typical filipina right there, i guess thats one of the traits we adapt in spanish colonial period

Great video! Next time, you should have a native Filipino to give you the characteristics of the food. Also, you should try more of the authentic food for each province. Each province has a different way of cooking classic Filipino dishes.

Marta is adorable😍, and not just her accent.. Just think of Dinuguan as Spanish blood sausage made into a stew. Same flavor basically.
My mom is from the Philippines. This was so fun to watch. I remember loving kaldereta, pinakbet and bokchoy. Unfortunately I went plant based, so can't eat that anymore haha

but nowdays there are vegetarian versions of the filipino dishes we grew up loving, esp pinakbet (favourite!) w/o pork... i love patis so much, but you can still substitute. veggie pinays are rare but emerging :P
Charlotte Renoy You can try "bas oy". It's just pure veggies made into a soup with lots of ginger and spices. So good for the health.

I believe that Filipino cooking has a bit of Spanish influence, as Spanish explorers occupied the islands hundreds of years ago. It is good to see that you are enjoying Filipino food. Your videos are amazing. Keep them coming.

Cheers for being game about the dinuguan. The kare kare meat based on his reaction may as well be oxtail. It is used in the dish because of the high collagen content.
Adrian be like, "Blood?!", but then, Marta says, "don't think about it, it is tasty." And Adrian agrees. 😄

Enjoy your stay in the Philippines. I am Filipino who visited Spain a few years ago for 17 days, and toured all over the country, including Adrian's hometown Valencia (muchos naranjas!). The culture and cuisine of Spain reminded me so much of the Philippines.. I remember longganisa, paella, polvoron and postre. I am sure you will be able to identify a lot of the similarities between the two countries as you travel the Philippines.

Great to know you love the Filipino food. The dark sauce is diniguan. And the lady beside you was right, it was made by pig blood. Then the dark yellow sauce is kare-kare and it's made of peanuts.
