Ahh that brings me back to the days of farming hearing that going we had the 10 ft cut I forget the number its was older not the to rollers being the blades that then v shaped I miss hearing them clang around when then you shut it down
How many outside rounds do you cut before you stop? Every year I go back and forth on cutting ends and then lands or just outside in all the way. I hate driving over the ends so many times. What I prefer to do is have fields big enough to do 6-8 times around. Cure, rake and bale it then mow the rest of the field. But you know Indiana weather. Make hay while the sun shines.
+Bill Whitman I generally cut 6 rounds all the way around. what I have found is that if you are cutting it close enough that the headlands wont be wet when you bale, (Michigan Weather) as we frequently do, I usually write the headlands off, or rake it a bunch of times.
As opposed to going in circles? You cut the headlands, in this case, 7 circles around the field, then mow in lines do avoid making sharp corners with the baler.
Nice video! That mower definitely makes short work of it. And nice to see another hay farmer with a sound track *other* than country 😁
I love the sound of the 630 when you rev it up, the guy i work with has a 635 and runs it on a case ih 7220, or a Massey ferguson 6480 or 5465.
