Opinions on all Pokemon here: Mega Mence honestly is a great Flying Mega and it has a decent set. Although 2 Flying moves is a bit weird imo. I would've replaced Facade with Fire Fang personally. Don't have anything worthwhile for Lugia as I got no experience with stalling, but at least you're using the fundamentals of stalling on this set. Skarmory also has a set that is used often, but Celesteela could've been considered as well thanks to Beast Boost and good defenses all around. Even though Crobat is a Physical attacker with decent Physical coverage like Steel Wing and Leech Life, this Special set could kick butt in the right situations. The Pelipper is almost as good as it can get, but i would've invested the EVs on HP or Special Defense as most Electric moves are Special anyway. Togekiss could've had Flamethrower instead as Fire Blast has the same Burn rate as Flamethrower but at least it has a way stronger option. I know these sets aren't meant to be godlike sets that should be used in the meta or anything, but these are just personally nitpicks and opinions on the team
I wouldn't have put Pelliper on the team myself. Yes it's great support on a rain team, but setting up rain is just free 100% accurate Thunder for your opponent on a whole team that's weak to electric moves. I would use Gliscor instead. Yes I know that's a second mon with 4x weakness to ice, but I feel like the rest of the team covers that well enough. Having that ground type wall is just excellent electric coverage, and it's just a good wall in general.
In my first playthough though Alpha Sapphire, i actually used a Pelliper just because it was so tanky. Heck, it got me far in the Elite Four and was a hurricane beast.
I would change lugia with the move set: Recover (to not lose the flying type for a turn) Defog (to get rid of hazards mostly stealth rocks) Toxic Dragon tail (to switch out pokemon you can’t fight with dealing a little bit of damage)
As a bird Pokémon trainer I have to correct you on Skarmory. The next set works much better: Ability: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) Item: Custap Berry -Stealth Rock -Spikes -Whirlwind -Iron Head Investing more than 4 EVs in speed won't improve it that much. Give them to HP instead and the remaining 4 to speed. Sturdy combined with a custap berry will let it set up at least stealth rock and spikes. After that you can either choose to torture the opponent with whirlwind or commit suicide with iron head because Skarmory won't be doing much after it has set up stealth rock and spikes. There are many great Flying Pokémon. For example Swellow with its guts ability and amazing speed can be very deadly on the battlefield. Same for Staraptor which is an absolute beast! Talonflame and Hawlucha are both great additions as well. Also I think you should've kept Salamance for the dragon team and use Mega Pidgeot instead.
I would make mega-Salamance a mixed-attacker and give it a flame-thrower, because of those nasty Steel types that tend to have ridiculously high Defense, which means that a stab Flying attack won't be as effective as a 2x damage Fire attack...and those annoying Ice types as well. I would also add Ho-Oh to this team, because...Ho-Oh.
Great team, the only complaint would be instead of skarmory you have corviknight, since he’s pretty much better, also maybe add gliscor for electric types
You should have went with the other mega, still keep salamance but give it moxie with the moves dragon dance, earthquake, fly and outrage with a lum Berry.
This is my chance to rant The fact that there's no reused Pokemon has made the titles false advertising in a lot of cases, especially with Ground, Ghost, Flying, and Fighting Pokemon that would be amazing on these teams like Lucario for fighting, Gliscor for flying, Mega Gengar for ghost, and Garchomp and Excadrill from Ground It's no longer the best it can be, because some amazing Pokemon that would be better than some on the team, just because it's on a different team.
Flying type is super-effective against: -Grass: Birds and bats often land on trees or their parts for both food (like berry eating birds and mango eating bats) and habitat (like bird's nest and bats on a tree). -Bug: Birds are common predators for tiny insects that eat them alive. -Fighting: Aerial attacks of any air combatants approaching the enemy can easily crush the enemy until injured and KO, such as martial artists using flying kicks in karate/kungfu matches, and superheroes who dive to the enemy and crash the enemy with the head.
One move I would recommend for a Flying team is Steel Wing on each PokeMon for coverage against Ice and Rock types. Here is what my team would be. Corviknight: Fly, Steel Wing, Iron Head, Hurricane Cramorant: Fly, Roost, Steel Wing, Surf Delibird: Freeze Dry, Ice Beam, Fly, Steel Wing Xatu: Psychic, Fly, Roost, Steel Wing Gliscor: Sky Uppercut, Steel Wing, Earthquake, Roost Crobat: Fly, Steel Wing, Toxic, Confuse Ray
Here's a question. While you couldn't include Corviknight due to your own limits for the list (which are perfectly fine don't get me wrong.) Would you have taken it over Skarmory if you could have?
Corviknight only good because it can dynamax. Skarmory role here is to set entry Hazard like Stealth rock and spike combined with it's ability sturdy and high defense it is better than corviknight.
