@@Unknown_Ooh you must of been in a fancy one. It was dark. There were sand paper feet on the floor and a lap belt only. I traveled in handcuffs. I was surrounded by metal. There was an opening near the front of the van but it was covered with a grate. I could see the officers driving and a little of where we were going outside. There was only enough room for your legs and then another metal wall. I was in there on my side with another woman going to the same hospital that had mental health beds open. They picked up an inmate on the way and he was in the other side.
Bro it’s hella small. I was 5’9” 165 and my knees were up against the wall. They had 4 people on each side and it was summer so it was hotter than hell. It sucked so bad. Claustrophobic feeling through the roof.
In the eighties, a Chev astro van transport lost a driveline. It went thru the gas tank and caused the van to burst into flame. The guards could only watch as all the prisoners cooked and screamed untill dead.
Idea for a prisoner transport van: 1. The back has no windows, just lights so the prisoners riding get some light still. 2. Exit doors are located in the back where the seats are so the drivers are safe. 3. Exit door can only be opened from outside and is heavily locked. 4. Steel vehicle body. 5. driver is separated from prisoners by a thick steel wall for secure protection for driver and guards. 6. Cameras added in the seat row.
The cops snapped his spine and broke his neck when they had their knee on it. Then their recklessness in the van broke both his legs. He died of a heart attack.
I like how they chose a Black cop to show us around the Van. Because if it was a white cop, he'd probably notice any black people around and start shooting in the middle of the scene.
Samil101 I think his Neck was Badly Injured also Before Freddie Grey was put into The Transport Van... However, I also think the Cops Finished Injuring His Neck AFTER HE WAS PUT INTO THE VAN... They did it by Driving Like The Idiots They are, And Throwing Freddie Gray Around in The Back Of That Van... Freddie Gray being Unable to Brace Himself because his Hands and Legs were Shackled? Only Had His Head to prevent him from bouncing around... It's A Basic Instinct of Human Beings when we are unable to use our Legs and Hands to Protect ourselves... We Put Our Heads in The Direction of The Threat and raise our shoulders to prepare for Impact or/of Harm...
The inside of that van looks scary as hell.
I had be transported in one of these once for a mental health crisis. I was 18 and it was scary as hell. I was going to another hospital, not jail.
It's really not lol. When the van is on and doors shut the lights come on and there are air vents.

notice how he says seatbelts to restrain, not even for their safety😂😂
The point is so the prisoner can not escape the van or hurt any prisoners
Tseye247 or to get tossed around?
I mean seatbelts are meant restrain your body.
@@CameronJP that comment is 4 years old, I was a complete dumbass at the time lmao sorry

I was thinking they probably didn't buckle him in, then decided to do a break-test at 50+ mph or so.
That should be against human rights jeez
What's human rights?
Nope they do the crime they do the time
Can a police officer transporting an inmate to jail engage a pursuit which the inmate gets to 'enjoy' the ride?

Why do y’all transport non-prisoners in the same windowless cages as rapists and murderers?

Thankfully our local sheriffs office uses a normal passenger van just outfitted with bars on the windows like normal police curisers.
Now shut him in their an drive 70 mph across town
Or 80 mph across the state.
Oh yes, the good old ice cream truck. Those SUCK
what do you do about people who are claustrophobic? That should be illegal!
What about the people who don't want to go to jail, jail should be illegal

F*ck Seat belts.
They need a bar like an amusement ride.
ZACH SEAN
They shouldn't have seat belts,, hit 30 MPhil and the driver hit the brakes then gas again repetitively
