I bought a new 68' strat when I got home from Nam .... unfortunately I sold it within a year ,,, Olympic white with maple neck ... one of my few regrets in my life ... nice to hear this one ....... what is the worth ??? I will see in the end of the vid.
That AC sounds cool. I'm not a vox guy but, sometimes, some of them make my jaw drop. But that strat... Love black strats, man. Not a fan of the CBS headstock, but she sure sounds great and that's what matters. What's the profile on that neck? Also, what's up with the second string tree? Is that original? And does the board seem more grainy than usual or is that just me? As always, thanks for sharing. Cheers
@@Soupslusher_68 who cares about what its worth... they r to be played not to care about what its worth. its a shame guitars r looked at as art piece now instead of just being what they r and that's just a good instrument.
Unfortunately, like everything guitars are worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for them. I make my living playing guitar but I can't afford to add more nice instruments to my collection. I'm lucky to have acquired most of what I need before people lost their minds over these gems.
All this has gotten way ridiculous, like this world. Just have to shut off your intelligence these days and live without thinking too much about how things are turning up. Like you say just stop watching all these guys living out of reality. And, just for the sake of it, a well setup Classic Vibe Squier can sound just as nice.. just keep that in mind. Hendrix would have liked any good indonesian guitar back in the day, if they had been like the ones they built today, which are as nice as anything. 10 thousands of dollars for a bolt on guitar, can it be 55 years old, is plain ridiculous... that is not old at all nor really vintage, it's a mass production item, and they're isn't really special about it. Moreover it's very easy to reproduce.. Try rebuilding a 1968, even mass produced, sportscar.. Now that's another story.. So just get youself a very good current Stratocaster, it will sound better, will play better, and keep your cash for your kids.. life is going to be hard,🎸👍
Late sixties strats are my favourite ones
Very strong sounding pickups
That one's a beauty. I'm still shaking my head at the increase in value of these instruments in the past few years.
You can say that AGAIN 😂
I’d take the prices from 5 years ago

Olmpic white with a maple cap... you ain't gonna see another one of those for a while.
68’, Olympic white and a maple neck probably most sought after cbs area Strat cuz of Hendrix’s Woodstock Strat.
the AlniCo Blue speaker model is the AC15HW1X, and yeah, those sound fabulous! Nice demo, sounds really sweet.
I’m looking for a 1968 Strat!
Spanky and quacky perfect strat sound.
Love that bridge pup!
Where's the other guitarist
is not a brazilian roswood /neck
Peer Schmook agree, pretty grain tho- appears to be East Indian RW
can't even hear how the guitar and amp sounds because the way this guy plays with this ridiculous hard plucking

that ripped, I like that you kept it cleanish, sounded really sexy man.
Sounds exactly like my new strat
Yep, those squier bullets are not bad for the money!
Yeah but your new guitar isn’t worth 15k+
No but they will be soon
My 2003 Squier by Fender Affinity Series crafted in China is very very special to me and has a vibe.

Headstock ruined with that additional string tree which he failed to mention.
Lol. Ruined Lol
Get a grip putz!
I completely agree I'd literally set fire to it right in the shop ! How very dare they !!!!!
LOL 18,950 for a 68.....Not even like a paisley tele or something rare. ugh gotta stop watching it's getting absurd

You really need delay with that guitar and amp.
