My main gripe with Sakura stans are like sage said they just love to lie and act like there is no reason why people should hate her or find her annoying, like if you like a bad character that's your business, but the fact that you just sit there and pretend like your confused and straight up lie that you don't see why any of the hate is justified is what pisses me off the most

I feel like people shit on Sasuke way too much for that "relationship". Dude told Sakura he's not interested every single time yet she still obsessed over him, he's not under any obligation to love her back and others are trying to force him to do so like Kakashi who straight up told him her love for him hurts her. Wtf is he supposed to do with it? So people saying that he somehow got rewarded for being abusive is such bs, in my opinion, seems like he just gave up on everything, got married to whatever cause she was the only one left with her unhealthy obsession, got single daugher so even reviving the clan failed. As it stands, there's no girl in the series that would make it work with him, they'd need to invent a new character during his travels or something and Sakura really needs to move on and have some self respect.

@@Synthia17 In one of Sasuke's cannon light novels (the one with the 'dinosaurs') they actually do a good job of fleshing out their relationship. For example, when a prisoner is flirting with Sakura in front of Sasuke (because the guy didn't know they were married) Sasuke gets visibly jealous and later makes Sakura a wedding band out of Earth release (why he hadn't gotten her one before idk) . There is also a moment when Sasuke is injured and Sakura gets real worried and heals him.
I like Sakura but i agree this whole "love" thing is toxic as hell. The "friendship" between Naruto and Sasuke too. Generally speaking, i have much more problems with this show. But as much as i agree with what you've written, i would like to point out that people happen to hate Sakura for not returning Naruto's love - and that was pretty much what Sasuke was doing with Sakura. This fandom loves double standards.

I really feel that Sakura would have benefitted as a character if Kishimoto ever showed her falling out of love with Sasuke, considering all the times he looked down on her. I really don't know how he justified in his head to have Sakura keep loving Sasuke, even after Sasuke tried to axe her off multiple times with 0 regret/care. I wish there had been a Sakura focused arc between the 1st periode and shippuden where she 1) stops having feelings for Sasuke and becomes her own person whoms whole identity/existence doesn't revolve around him, and 2) realices she's going to have to rely/focus on herself as her teacher is busy only focusing on her team mates, and said team mates are always off getting stronger on their own. It would have been so satisfying to see Sakura roll up her sleeves, say "f you all" to her team mates and teacher, and grow strong on her own and become a respectable, independent ninja in her own way using her IQ, observation skills, quick thinking/reaction, battle analytics skills, genjutsu talent, water and earth based jutsus and chakra control. An arc such as that could also have served to show how characters in this world who doesn't come from any spesific clan, and also doesn't have anything unique about them that makes them stand out as an individual, have to struggle more and isn't as recogniced, but instead ignored/put to the side as they don't have anything flashy about them that promises them a great future. Just imagine a version of Naruto where Sakura realices how toxic Sasuke is, and how down right dangerous he has become after the timeskip, and then focus on having her improve herself/her other skills, instead of just having her be the cliche "person in love" trope whom, because of said cliche/trope, ignores all the massive, red flags thrown her way! Sakura could have been such a good opponent to Sasuke, using her own battle analytics skills against his, using her earth and water elemental jutsus to counter the Chidori and fire based jutsus, along with her genjutsu skills to counter the Sharingan, and keeping herself and Naruto healed as Sasuke tracks their punches/kicks. Kishimoto gave her all these advantages, and then throws it all to the side so that he can have her go "Oooo Sasuke, have my babies" whenever she's around Sasuke instead!

Here’s my thing, Sakura upon reading is a student of the game. She isn’t like Sasuke or Naruto in the battle sense, but she has knowledge on chakra control is able to manifest it pretty well early on. But I didn’t feel like it was a real leg up. It felt more like “if Sakura can do it, then I can too.” She’s a character with no real hardships. Like Sasuke and Naruto are orphans by circumstance and the goals they set for themselves reflect that. Sakura doesn’t feel really motivated. Even after getting boosted, she has one or two moments. I wish they did her right but hey Kishimoto hates his wife. 😂😂😂

Was it ever explained why she never used the forehead seal during the Pain Invasion?? The war arc says she has been storing chakra in that seal for years so she obviously had access to it when pain attacked so she could have helped Tsunade heal the injured and save lives. Then Tsunade wouldn't have needed to push herself so far that she fell into a coma leading to Danzo taking charge as Hokage (however briefly).

He went on record saying in interviews that he "forgot" about her and would talk about how he regretted her character due to her unpopularity. It's a boring answer to your question, but it's the only valid answer. He simply never planned for it. He just gave her the seal because it made sense lore wise for Sakura to be able to use it as Tsunade's student. Naruto and Sasuke got big power ups, so he needed Sakura to catch up quick so he could have a big payoff Team 7 moment. So he gave her the seal and had Shizune gas her up the entire chapter only for the next chapter and every chapter after that to be sidelined, *again.* And then Naruto and Sasuke quite literally achieved god mode. And then Kakashi and Obito literally pulled a Perfect Susanoo out of their asses. I'm telling you bro, as a day 1 Sakura fan, it was actually tilting to see everyone in Team 7 eat and Sakura not being able to ascend in the same way.

I never liked Sakura even as a kid but her moment in the forest of death where she cuts her hair and decided to stand up for herself was actually really powerful so I was hoping she would become better as a character. But nope!!! She went right back to being Sasuke's simp for eternity. I wanted the series to atleast tap into her genjutsu potential since that would have made her stand out quite effectively compared to her teammates where Sasuke was the obvious ninjutsu specialist and Naruto was more into meele and taijutsu so Sakura could have covered that basis of support and interference quite effectively. I know a lot of Sakura stans use her Boruto portrayal as a means to validate her as a great character, but it doesn't magically erase what she was before. Especially if you're not really into Boruto in the first place. Naruto was the series that introduced this world and is what the franchise is mainly known for. And the fact remains throughout that run, Sakura was just a waste of a character. Especially for a main character. I probably wouldn't have disliked her as much if she was just a side character, but she's not.
Sasuke is never home, even to a degree that he didn't even know what his own daughter looked like and you'd think that sakura as a mother would look after her child and press sasuke to at least spend time with sarada yet we're never shown that in boruto and judging by sasukes reaction to sarada in that arc shows me that he wasn't present for her birthdays either

What are Sakura defenders even trying to say when they bring up her Boruto potrayal 💀, and say "shes not that bad anymore". Shes still a bad character literally nothing has changed 💀 , In Boruto Sakuras mid, not better or worse than OG or Shippuden Sakura, just mid, thats as high as she gets as a character.
To me, in Naruto og she is a 0 star (Completely useless with no redeeming qualities), in Shippuden she is a 3 star (had the fight with Sasori and was extremely useful in the war), and in Boruto she’s a 4 star (Shin fight and doesn’t really have many bad qualities). All in all, she’s a 2.5 star character for me
Sakura definitely deserves hate for moments like her talking about Naruto not having parents and how he acts and then her “confession” to Naruto. Imo though, my gripe is with Kishimoto not expanding her character. She was made out to be the book smart kunoichi who was also talented with chakra control. However, Kishimoto just pushed her to the back burner and just throws her into the shadows of her busted ass teammates. I’m definitely not gonna defend EVERYTHING about her but Kishimoto definitely shoulda done better in making her character
*THIS* 👍 I have to agree. A lot of things Sakura said and did in the series didn't even make sense for her to do at the time, like that confession she made for Naruto. It wasn't the fact she faked it that bothered me personally, it was what she actually said that threw me off, then gaslighting him. What did she mean by I admire you "now"? She had respect for Naruto since around the Chunin Exams and understood his Jinchuriki status since then too. It was like she was backpedaling her own character development every time she did something stupid, but that moment killed what redeeming qualities she had left.

Plot twist: Sakura was not poorly written, she was simply proof that the wrong kind of obsession can ruin a person who is meant to accomplish alot in life. And that no amount of talent (smart, genjustsu specialty), or guidance (trained by powerful jonin, sanin, and teamed up with powerhouses), or opportunity (learned to combat poisons, had a guy ready to wife her from the start, could have just killed Sasuke and saved time) will save a fool.

What does irritate me the most is out of team 7 trio, Sakura is quite literally nothing but a clone of her teacher. Naruto and Sasuke have elements of their sanin teacher but also things that prove that they have surpassed their teacher and have their own unique stuff. Sakura on the other hand is just a poor man's Tsunade. Like the series has to blatantly tell you that she has surpassed Tsunade because you legit cannot infer that on your own. Like seriously you cannot convince me that in the war arc Sakura is actually better than Tsunade at all. Replace Sakura with Tsunade in the final Kaguya battle and I am sure Tsunade would have performed better in some way lol. Also side note the war arc says that Sakura has had years of chakra stored in her forehead seal.... So why the fuck she didn't use it during the pain attack? I wanna be the middle ground here because I don’t HATE Sakura. I just dislike her character but I do like her growth in the end. My strong dislike for Sakura stems from her bad qualities being showcased way more than her good ones. I do have to blame the writing for this one, I will admit Sakura did have good qualities but the writing itself would overshadow all of them and made sure we only saw the bad qualities which is quite a bit. Her journey may not have meant to be physical and spiritual like Sasuke and Naruto, she had more personal growth and growth into accepting the role she’s meant to play in the world. We barely get to see any of that, and when we do see her she’s either pulling shit, yelling at naruto(or messing with his feelings) or being the weakest link in a fight Ect. All her bad side was strung down like meat for the wolves to tear apart, you can’t blame the whole community for hating her when she was so poorly handled and written. Her and even hinata were so wasted in their writing.

Ouuuu I hated her in og Naruto series and shippudden. She was literally the only female ninja that was always needed up being the damsel in distress in og Naruto and half of shippudden. She literally holds Naruto and Sasuke back in battle because they always they have to save her because always get injured or captured. It was annoying she would stand there with a Kunai and let people attack her like she was totally incapable of using some advance Jutsu. Out of the team 7, Sakura is the only one with perfect chakra control. Which is why she works so well as a medical ninja. She treats Naruto horrible often and it pissed me off, and her temper is horrible. They redeemed her character drastically in Boruto however, but it’s kind of hard to get rid of the feelings of had about her for most of the Naruto Lore. Also I have to I slightly disagree with your take on Kurenai, her whole fighting style is based off genjutsu and she was one of the best in the village.
She's not really redeemed in Boruto. She got mad and destroyed her own home because her daughter, Sarada, called her out on her bs. She even punched Naruto for a joke Kakashi made. What's worst, Naruto wasn't even in on the joke.
The problem with sakura is that looking back she probably should be at most a side character. The thing is she started with no real way to build her character. She had no goal aside from sasuke she had no path to power because she had no clan and knew no jutsu aside from basic academy level stuff. She had no clear path as a ninja she wanted to go. I may be wrong but as far as i know even Rin knew medical jutsu as a basic genin because she knew what she wanted to be. Plus taking boruto into account what Kishimoto should have done is clear. Hinata should have been the 3rd member. She has a path to power since she's a hyuga. She has like 3 built in motivations they could go with 1.) Fixing the hyuga. 2.) Being the worthy hyuga heir over her genius family members. 3.) Studying the hyuga ancestors which would obviously lead to kaguya. Honestly if you combine Hinata and Sakura you get Noel from black clover who is just a better version of both those characters.

My point was from a base level hinata had more potential as a character. She had way more you could do with her from episode 1. Whereas sakura didn't even have a clan. As for your other point people don't hold hinata to the same standards because she was a side character and sakura isn't, for a side character she does better than most of the other than naruto. As for orihime she get significantly more importance to the story than hinata of course she gets to show more personality.

What I outlined was a rewrite my point was that hinata as a character had more to work with as a baseline character, if kishimoto had made hinata the third member he COULD have made her tackle the hyuga problem as a character arc. Hinata had more to work with so wouldn't have wasted 200 chapters having nothing to do. Even if sakura was a side character forced into a main character role that would only prove my point that she shouldn't have been in that role to begin with. Combine aspects of both characters and you actually have a third main character.

Sakura is not perfect but she's a solid character with solid growth. Kishimoto just didn't utilize her much. Her only bad moments derive from Sasuke, because Sasuke is a cancer to everyone around him.

I still remember 4 moments that made me despise her 3 of them canon. 1) making fun of Naruto about being an orphan in front of Sasuke 2) Telling Sasuke that she will feel the same as he did when Itachi freed up Uchiha family Wi-Fi if he leaves. 3) emotionaly manipulating Naruto by telling him she "loves" him. 4) There was a Naruto anime movie where Naruto is prophesized to die and she was smiling and said: hey Naruto how great it is that you are gonna die.
She's just a garbage person through and through. She damn near kills her crying Daughter down the line too. Its been her most consistent character trait ngl.

nah her plan to tell naruto she loves him and kill sasuke does actually make sense to her character though (after becoming friends with naruto) she sees how much closer naruto and sasuke are than she is to either and blames herself for naruto trying to get him. Its a bad plan, but sakura makes bad decisions when it comes to reading people for a majority of the series. she was trying to make it so naruto wouldn't have to bear the pain of killing his closest friend, and was okay if naruto would hate her forever instead of him goin crazy and killin whoever else does it
What she said totally killed it though and devolved her into what she was by the end. She said I admire you now, nevermind how their relationship was during their early Team 7 days and that she already had respect for Naruto back in the Chunin Exams and the way she kept backpedaling on her character so much. With all of her experiences and being close to the end of the story, she shouldn't have been this bad at reading her people.

That's not why. I don't hate her just so we're clear. Some would absolutely hate her for how she treated Naruto it's not the shipper that hate her ending up with Sasuke. Shippers are a tiny percentage of the fandom. Some people ended up hating Sakura in Part 1, because even Sakura stans can admit she was useless there, and never ended up changing their minds. Some ended up hating her when she got really strong and interesting in the beginning of Part 2 and then fell off around the Pain Arc. Some hated her when she tried to gaslight Naruto into coming back to Konoha and stop chasing Sasuke. Some hated her when she got her unhinted power up in the War Arc and thought she was. Me personally I never really cared about her in Part 1 and was genuinely interested in her when she showed her development in Part 2. I was really disappointed in how she didn't really do anything interesting till the War Arc. I'd have loved for her to actually have some fights. Like seeing her fight Konan would have been great. Even seeing her actually try to kill Sasuke would have been great. We didn't get any of that though.
Whenever Sakura had the chance to do something cool she just doesn’t for no reason. Like she should have had an actual fight with Sasuke like Naruto. He was running low on chakra after getting his ass beat by all the Kage and then struggling against Danzo there’s no reason why she should’ve been helpless there needing to be saved twice. Also there’s no reason why she should’ve struggled to stab Obito. Like at all. I guess Kishimoto just gets off on crying women or something
It's because He and Neji were meant to die to Kimimaru and Kidomaru in the Sasuke retreaval mission, but Kishimoto's editors made him keep them so there was nothing planned for them in Shippuden, that's why they got forgotten.

Being the lightning rod of someone’s, (or in final valley Sasuke and pre Pain fight Naruto’s case, the world’s) hatred is not an effective solution. It sucks because I generally was rooting for Sakura for most of the series, I gave her an excuse for being ass in part 1 because she didn’t get real training yet, then in Shippudden she shown to be strong and I was ready, she had her for fight with Sasori and I was excited for things to come with for. Then she does almost nothing the rest of the series and that confession scene ready did it for me. The way she tried to manipulate Naruto someone who has supported her for the whole show, and supposedly her best friend is insane. Naruto should’ve hated her for that, but the goat still had love in his heart for her, saved her life after that moment.
18:00 what you have to understand is sakura’s jutsu isn’t explained well at ALL. And so when she said that, with the massive power up that she got in that very moment, YES she did catch up to them in the state they were in during that’s scan. Right before then Sakura was originally banned from missions or surgeries because her constantly amazing chakra for the creation of her byakugo seal (even during sleep, the chunin exams and sasori arcs, etc). She created a third dam to store chakra in and use for missions and surgery, while still working up to her 100 healings jutsu over 2 (or 3) years. So just remember during all of this that we’re discussing Sakura was legit HANDICAPPED. When she says “I can finally unleash my full power” that statement should have been explained a lot more. Without this handicapped Sakura could have utilized more of her skill set besides JUST her super strength, evasion, medical ninjutsu and IQ that’s comparable to kakashi’s. We also sleep on the fact that she’s called a legit genius several times IN-VERSE. She just didn’t get written well
When she “confessed” to Naruto my first thought was and I quote “Ohh gotta hit her” .Naruto immediately knew she was trying too manipulate him by tugging on that final fragment of his heart. He shut that shit down instantly! Oh and if hinata found out she tried that shit, girl would have dropped everything and packed her up immediately!
The thing is, I hated Sakura since day one. But I kinda give a SLIGHT benefit of the doubt to her for some things. The real tyrants with her is her stans.
Sakura isn’t tht bad she’s like the strongest strength wise besides Choji she can constantly heal herself even more than Tsunade cause she’s not using her chakra to look young can summon lady Katsuyu can revive ppl she loves Naruto she wanted to kill Sasuke cause she saw how determined Naruto was and how much he had already done she wanted to do something to help and to take pressure off Naruto Sakura overall is a good character she just has really low moments but she has really good ones too
Sakura had some pretty good feats. Perhaps, there weren't THAT many, but there were plenty of impressive things about her - especially compared to other characters. HOWEVER, in spite of those things, she still seems to manage to negate all that, with her bad points. Ok, she wants to improve herself. She takes initiative and becomes Tsunade's student. She become a strong and independent woman... except, she always allows her crush to be her weakness. How can you make the case that she's an example for women, when she lets someone like Sasuke control her? Kaguya was a flying character. Naruto can fly. Sasuke has some ranged abilities, and he at least has a flying animal that he can summon. Sakura can PUNCH really hard at close range. She claimed that she had caught up and surpassed her teammates, and she was ready to lead Team 7. If Sakura hadn't gotten a ride to the top, how in the ninja world could she have possibly landed the "Punch heard 'round the ninja world" that defeated Kaguya? Finally, it should not be forgotten that when Sakura went to intercept Naruto, Hinata had already confessed HER love for Naruto. It was quickly proven that Sakura was NOT serious and still loved Sasuke. SO... why did she tell Naruto that she loved him? Why... knowing that Hinata loved him since day one and had already confessed, did she insert herself in the middle & attempt to interfere in his personal life? The only thing I can think of is that she was so arrogant, that she thought that Naruto was still wrapped around her finger. She was SO oblivious to his life, that she assumed that he could still be easily controlled because of a crush he had, when they were kids. Was she really planning to kill Sasuke? Was she hoping she'd fail, and she'd offer to join him after being defeated? Was she really planning to stay with Naruto and be his wife? (Displacing Hinata) Whatever the case, she was lying to Naruto. She was trying to use and manipulate him. I never hated her, and I still had the patience to appreciate who she became in Boruto, but she made it VERY hard to respect her. She didn't have to become Naruto''s Girlfriend. She didn't have to have any relationship. I just think she would have been a better character, if she had grown out of her crush on Sasuke. How many times did she have to be hit on the head & fake-stabbed by Sasuke to get the hint? I don't mind that they finally ended up together. However, a small part of me has reservations about her being rewarded for being so persistent. It didn't seem like a healthy relationship. Is it really a good message that you can wear someone's will down, if you obsess over someone, until you literally become their last choice?
Like I said on that video, hating Sakura is fine but if you hate her and you stan Hinata for some reason, I think less of you as a person and your opinion.

Sakura is a very bad written character. I don't give a fuck a about Sakura when she was still a kid since she had a pretty normal childhood unlike other character in Naruto. All of the cast have atleast being an asshole at some point in the show even Naruto himself. For me, there is no problem with the fact that a character is weak or bad at first, it is the development that important. That is what Sakura has been lacking, not about power, but about her personality. Her obsession with Sasuke is one thing, the fact that she never grew out of it despite Sasuke have hurted her and people around her and she still somehow "love" him? Always said that she will become stronger and will get him back but I never seen her do any of that. Yes, I also know that with out Sakura most of the cast properly gonna have their own grave before the fourth war even happen, but if none of that caught the attention then what's the point? Its not hard to write a weak but useful character, Sakura literally the smartest member of the group, Kishimoto build her character like that. She isn't mentally unstable, isn't honest to the point stupid, she has more than enough to write for her a situation where she can shine, can prove to us her potential, can prove that even she is a completely normal ninja with no special clan or abilities, she can still be able to over come any challenges coming her way! When she was still a genin and being push in a situation where the main power of the team are Naruto and Sasuke are now helpless and the enemies are gonna attack them. Sakura, a normal ninja with no specialty have to step up and protect her friends or she'll loose everything. She build up trap, used anything in her reach to find a way to defeated enemies whom are much more stronger than her. At that moment, Sakura cut her long hair that is a symbol her feminine, her weak old self, and finally become an actual shinobi with a long way ahead to be able to become stronger.
.....Then she fail and Lee came to the rescue. At this point this is entirely Kishimoto fault. Why the fuck would he build up Sakura so much like this and then completely ruined it by let her got back to being the character that need to be rescue?! I don't give a god damn thing that she had try so hard, try so hard isn't enough, she NEED TO WIN! This is fiction! This is his manga! He can do anything and yet he did just that?! But yeah, still, she is just a kid, now she is the Hokage students, what can go wrong? After the timeskip, Sakura really impressed me with her development both knowledge and strengths.... .....at first. Her fight with Saori, an Akatsuki really shown how much she growth, she is much confident, she analyzed the battle, the enemy, didn't hesitate to risk herself in order to get her out of a tough situation, used the strong fist that she learnt from her sensei to win, and she did win. And then...nothing, the rest of the show she went back to her pathetic self, a simp. I swear to god whenever I saw a Sakutards debate, 98% of the time this is the only fight that they use, the other one is when Sakura hit Kaguya once, that's all. No more major battle or any kind of situation that can help her keep her development. Naruto is literally Kishimoto work, everything is possible as long as he wanted it to happen, clearly he just see his female character no more than object to push the plot point and support the male character. The reason Sakura been added to the Manga in the first place is for the story to have a love triangle some shit. Her concept is actually my favorite, but as we can all seen, Kishimoto fail to made it work. I know damn well she is the strongest kunoichi, but that wasn't enough! I want the progress, the actual progress being drew out, Kishimoto is the author, why can't he draw just a couple of pictures to prove Sakura development, instead have to base on the databook or some shit. I know the side character hardwork even more than the one that have more screen time than any of them like Lee, Hinata,... Sakura is a medical ninja, she is in the role support, but isn't Tsunade is just like her yet she shown us that she is strong, she shine in her moment even when she just a side character. Sakura has no powerful clan is special but not that special for the fans to overated her like that. Minato also has no powerful clan, Lee is the same age as her and literally can't use any Jutsu other than Taijutsu. And yeah they all became strong by learn from a good sensei, Sakura is the same, she learn the Byakugou. Her love for Sasuke never gone, at this point it is obsession . That obsession didn't make any sense??? They are childhood friends I get it, he's handsome or some shit I get it, but after known that he is literally a TERRORIST, she can still defended him by "you don't understand him so don't talk shit about him". BITCH, they got every rights to talk shit about a terrorist that intended to harm their village, their love one. Naruto is DESTINY to fight Sasuke, not her. They are teammate and it is normal for her to want him back because yeah Naruto too of course, but damn romantically affection toward him??? Also don't say I only dislike Sakura when Naruto pretty much done the same, I hate both of them for the way they defend Sasuke and don't really consider about the other feeling. The entire series, until now, I still have no idea how SasuSaku develop to the point they even have a kid, all I ever heard of is from the SasuSaku fandom, if he want to clarify, just make a god damn anime or a manga all about them just show us, no databook shit, I swear he wrote that after so many chapters(basiclly the entire manga) of not shown even a fucking clear connection between their "love". And no, not the "Sasuke Retsuden" that happened AFTER they married. The thing I hate most is not that she married the person tried to kill her multiple times, not that she is so bland, but the fact that she in the end is just a copy of Tsunade, not a independent kunoichi that not only use what she originally learnt from her sensei and then blend in with her own technique to suppress her sensei. Naruto and Sasuke are also almost the copy of their sensei, that's why If Sakura can do better by doing the thing above, it would really a way to help her have her own "specialty". At the end of Naruto, team 7 shouldn't get married at all. Friendzone is totally fine. Everyone is all busy with their work, they should focus on that. If they lack emotional support, just adopted some pets, cats is a very good option. Overall, Haruno Sakura is strong base on strength but her mental is weak. She has potential, but being wasted. Again, everyone have their own opinion, and here is mine. There are people who like her character, and there are people who don't and I'm one of them. The worst part about the writing of Sakura is that it's so easy to make her top tier and Kishimoto purposely side steps every possible situation that would make her cool.😂 When she chopped her hair and rushed that Sound ninja she was suppose to get the body! Not bite the opps wrist while you got a whole KNIFE in your hand!!!😂It's the Forest of death!😂😂😂 when Sasuke clapped Team 7 at Orochimaru 's hideout I would have made her give up on Sasuke in that moment and naturally built up her love for Naruto and her hate for Sasuke and his betrayal. when she goes to kill Blind Sasuke I'd make it a hard fight for Sasuke because he still drained from the Danzo fight and he's literally sparring with a student of one of the other sannin and I would make her break his Susanoo like Tsunade did Madara but it would make more sense because Sasuke literally just got done fighting a Kage Elect ND he's going blind so his ocular jutsu would be nerfed! She could have completely been redeemed in shippuden naturally!
I would like to also point out that Sakura is whole plan would it have been a bad plan if you would have thought about this at the end of Naruto. Because at least Naruto was Dumber and was more crazy about her

Bro, she was a kid, you can't hold that against her. I honestly Hate Naruto more than her but I have a good reason. Throughout the show Naruto always Preaches about keeping his promises but he went back on the two most important ones. During his fight with Neji he said when he became Hokage he would "Fix the Hyuga" and end the system that pitted the two branches against each other. But in Boruto members of the side branch are essentially slaves to the main branch and any main branch member can lobotomize any side branch member at will. And Two, he promised Nagato that he would Bring Peace to Amegakure but in Boruto Ame is totally abandoned and is now a HQ for Kara. And of course, the good things Naruto has done far outlay those but still, he allows a clan to enslave half it's members and he allowed a small country once led by someone he was related to by blood to become a hideout for a terrorist group.
I can't blame her for it not working because, like you said, it's Sasuke, but I can blame her for not being able to follow through Like failure was the only possible outcome, but she didn't even have the resolve to go through with it

I mean I like Sakura but that's the problem with her throughout the entire franchise. Sakura is just wasted potential in my opinion and she's also the definition of a girl that can't decide who to date and have a relationship with because Sakura was crushing hard on Sasuke and being really rude to Naurto but then when Sasuke tried to kill Sakura and Naurto saved her, that's when she started to have feelings for Naurto but then when Naurto rejected her, it's almost like she became stuck with those two because one rejected her and the another almost killed her so like she was basically almost a SIMP to those 2 characters in my opinion. I mean you know how Naurto liked Sakura in the beginning of the series until he moved on from her from good and realized the Hinata was the one that liked him for a long time and got together with Hinata. Yeah Sakura never did that like Sakura never wanted to move on from those two and actually tried to find the right person for her to be in a relationship. She just basically wanted for one of them to get married and boom, she'll choose the other person. It was just so weird and kinda sad and frustrating to watch
Is Sakura overhated? Hell yes. It’s so embarrassing that this is even a discussion. Yes her writing sucks, no one is denying that but the problem is that literally ALL female Characters in Naruto have trash writing except Tsunade and Tsunade’s writing is only okay, yet Sakura is the only one getting bashed like so hella lot. Now you could argue and say “Well she’s a Main Character” but no that’s not the reason at all because look at Hinata for example, who literally has the worst writing you could possibly give a female Character. She’s barely hated. Why? Because she’s nice and has melons. And it’s not even because Sakura is “aggressive” either. People simp for Road to Ninja Hinata too. Another point is, that literally almost everyone I’ve been arguing with doesn’t even name any reasonable or CANON Reason. It’s always some random ahh Filler scenes or scene where she’s a kid. Now to the reasons named in the Video. Sakura’s confession was not a lie, that is confirmed by Kishimoto who said that he was showing an honest girl. And he’s been hinting that Sakura might have feelings for Naruto since OG in the databooks written by Kishi. Studio Pierrot had a big part in why Naruto didn’t end up with Sakura which is why things turned out the way they did. And Sakura DID want to protect Naruto she was gaslighted by Sai to confess. Sakura not being able to kill Sasuke makes sense? She still, just like Naruto, cares about him deep down🤷🏻♀️ Don’t get me wrong I hated that part but it wasn’t like it’s not understandable. Sakura and Ino’s fight wasn’t the best fight but it wasn’t that had imo. They’re both not the strongest and it was hinted they’d fight. I would’ve wished for her to have more fights, again her writing is not good at all but the Sakura and Ino fight isn’t an understandable reason to hate on her. Sakura’s love for Sasuke doesn’t come out of nowhere if you read the Manga. In OG there were several scenes where he blushed and noticed when she was feeling down, complimenting her so she would feel better. Shippuden defo ruined their relationship but saying that Sasuke hasn’t shown that he deeply cares about her. He definitely has. When she said “I finally caught up to them” It was a reverence to scene where she walked behind them in Og and wished to walk beside them. She meant that she was finally able to fight along side them
@@shreksyq why isn't hinata hated ? in part 1 she actually had a proper character arc, she had an impact in the manga's narrative and in the plot, resonated with naruto's character development. in part 2 she was basically... not here. you can't call not writing bad writing. as you said, hinata is not a main character, so you don't really expect her to have more than that to begin with. she had a decent intervention in the narrative and had a few moment after the story was done focusing on her character development. you can say it's a shame she didn't play a more important part, just like every secondary character in naruto, aside from shikamaru. so yeah, sakura is the only one getting bashed because she's a main character, so you expect a main character level of development. when secondary character are useless, most of the time they're simply not here. sakura is on screen 99% of the time, doing nothing, being irrelevant to the plot and the narrative. sakura not being able to kill sasuke doesn't make sense. it does make sense that as a person she can't bring herself to kill sasuke, sure. but she's a character, it doesn't make sense for kishimoto to not take the perfect opportunity to give her actual character development and growth. her main internal conflict as a character is sasuke, and this internal conflict never gets anywhere, she just... keeps being conflicted forever until the situation gets better on its own. sakura's fight with ino, the action was uninteresting, the narrative of the two character is completely stupid and petty. the only 1v1 she will ever get is the worst fight of the whole manga, and she didn't even win, how pathetic is that. if you seriously think that a few panels of sasuke blushing depicts their relationship as deep enough to make sakura's behavior believable and understandable, then idk what to say.. and she's just dislikable overall, she hits naruto for no reason, (this kind of comedy is only "funny"when there is a reason or a joke that goes along with it) and trampled over naruto's feelings several times and even if it wasn't her intention, it still makes her dislikable.

Not only that but her Fights are also lame and show that her Battle IQ is extremely low overall, Example her trying to attack Pain. In the Manga she straight up charges at Pain and instantly get knocked out within a Panel. Her Plan was to protect Naruto yet it didn’t make sense because she knew she’d instantly die so it was more or less just a way for her to confess to Naruto which comes off as selfish. In the War Arc, when Shikamaru almost died, everyone even Tobirama was glad that he made it thanks to Naruto’s Chakra while only Hinata was not and looked sad thinking “I wanna stand beside Naruto too” which is just so weird. She’s just unlikable. Her Character is poorly written simply for the fact that her Screentime was used to simp over Naruto instead of showing interactions with Neji, with her Sister, learning more about her Clan. Making a Character only exist for the purpose of loving another Character is bad writing. Sakura is absolutely overhated. Since you talked about the Manga I’m assuming you’ve read it. Starting off in Classic she was a normal little girl with no special powers whatsoever. She was a little bratty etc like most kids. But she reflected on her Actions. Example when she “made fun of Naruto for being an Orphan” (which she didn’t even do she just said he doesn’t behave and Sasuke was the one that mentioned he has np parents but whatever). She reflected on what she said, understanding that it was wrong and hurtful and gently smiled deciding to be nicer. She, overall in Classic was literally nice to Naruto. In the Zabuza Arc she saved him from a Shuriken, in the Chunin Exams she protected both him and Sasuke with her life, she cheered for Naruto, was ready to give up her exam so Naruto could archive his Dream etc. In Shippuden she got even better and has shown many times how skilled she actually is, managing to make an Antidote against sasoris poison within just a few hours etc. not gonna list everything she has done now but you get my point. She was genuinely not mean to Naruto, no she cared a lot about him. In the Manga she hit him around 17 times in total in 700+ Chapters that’s like nothing and that only when he was being a perv. The only real flaw Sakura has is her Love for Sasuke(which she would’ve moven on from as hinted in the Manga that she has feelings for Naruto but didn’t because of the Editors) and her not having many fights. The reason sakura is hated is the Anime simply making her look a lot more aggressive and meaner. I mean the Scene I mentioned earlier where she reflected on what she said, in the Anime she looked pissed off while in the Manga she genuinely smiled.

For example, when a prisoner is flirting with Sakura in front of Sasuke (because the guy didn't know they were married) Sasuke gets visibly jealous and later makes Sakura a wedding band out of Earth release (why he hadn't gotten her one before idk) . There is also a moment when Sasuke is injured and Sakura gets real worried and heals him.
I like Sakura but i agree this whole "love" thing is toxic as hell. The "friendship" between Naruto and Sasuke too. Generally speaking, i have much more problems with this show.

I really feel that Sakura would have benefitted as a character if Kishimoto ever showed her falling out of love with Sasuke, considering all the times he looked down on her. I really don't know how he justified in his head to have Sakura keep loving Sasuke, even after Sasuke tried to axe her off multiple times with 0 regret/care. I wish there had been a Sakura focused arc between the 1st periode and shippuden where she 1) stops having feelings for Sasuke and becomes her own person whoms whole identity/existence doesn't revolve around him, and 2) realices she's going to have to rely/focus on herself as her teacher is busy only focusing on her team mates, and said team mates are always off getting stronger on their own. It would have been so satisfying to see Sakura roll up her sleeves, say "f you all" to her team mates and teacher, and grow strong on her own and become a respectable, independent ninja in her own way using her IQ, observation skills, quick thinking/reaction, battle analytics skills, genjutsu talent, water and earth based jutsus and chakra control. An arc such as that could also have served to show how characters in this world who doesn't come from any spesific clan, and also doesn't have anything unique about them that makes them stand out as an individual, have to struggle more and isn't as recogniced, but instead ignored/put to the side as they don't have anything flashy about them that promises them a great future.
Just imagine a version of Naruto where Sakura realices how toxic Sasuke is, and how down right dangerous he has become after the timeskip, and then focus on having her improve herself/her other skills, instead of just having her be the cliche "person in love" trope whom, because of said cliche/trope, ignores all the massive, red flags thrown her way! Sakura could have been such a good opponent to Sasuke, using her own battle analytics skills against his, using her earth and water elemental jutsus to counter the Chidori and fire based jutsus, along with her genjutsu skills to counter the Sharingan, and keeping herself and Naruto healed as Sasuke tracks their punches/kicks. Kishimoto gave her all these advantages, and then throws it all to the side so that he can have her go "Oooo Sasuke, have my babies" whenever she's around Sasuke instead!

Here’s my thing, Sakura upon reading is a student of the game. She isn’t like Sasuke or Naruto in the battle sense, but she has knowledge on chakra control is able to manifest it pretty well early on. But I didn’t feel like it was a real leg up. It felt more like “if Sakura can do it, then I can too.” She’s a character with no real hardships. Like Sasuke and Naruto are orphans by circumstance and the goals they set for themselves reflect that. Sakura doesn’t feel really motivated. Even after getting boosted, she has one or two moments. I wish they did her right but hey Kishimoto hates his wife. 😂😂😂

Was it ever explained why she never used the forehead seal during the Pain Invasion?? The war arc says she has been storing chakra in that seal for years so she obviously had access to it when pain attacked so she could have helped Tsunade heal the injured and save lives. Then Tsunade wouldn't have needed to push herself so far that she fell into a coma leading to Danzo taking charge as Hokage (however briefly).

He went on record saying in interviews that he "forgot" about her and would talk about how he regretted her character due to her unpopularity. It's a boring answer to your question, but it's the only valid answer. He simply never planned for it. He just gave her the seal because it made sense lore wise for Sakura to be able to use it as Tsunade's student.
Naruto and Sasuke got big power ups, so he needed Sakura to catch up quick so he could have a big payoff Team 7 moment. So he gave her the seal and had Shizune gas her up the entire chapter only for the next chapter and every chapter after that to be sidelined, *again.* And then Naruto and Sasuke quite literally achieved god mode. And then Kakashi and Obito literally pulled a Perfect Susanoo out of their asses.
I'm telling you bro, as a day 1 Sakura fan, it was actually tilting to see everyone in Team 7 eat and Sakura not being able to ascend in the same way.

I never liked Sakura even as a kid but her moment in the forest of death where she cuts her hair and decided to stand up for herself was actually really powerful so I was hoping she would become better as a character. But nope!!! She went right back to being Sasuke's simp for eternity.
I wanted the series to atleast tap into her genjutsu potential since that would have made her stand out quite effectively compared to her teammates where Sasuke was the obvious ninjutsu specialist and Naruto was more into meele and taijutsu so Sakura could have covered that basis of support and interference quite effectively.
Even beyond that she could have atleast grown into a more mature person who could become the voice of reason on the team and keep her teammates grounded.

I know a lot of Sakura stans use her Boruto portrayal as a means to validate her as a great character, but it doesn't magically erase what she was before. Especially if you're not really into Boruto in the first place. Naruto was the series that introduced this world and is what the franchise is mainly known for. And the fact remains throughout that run, Sakura was just a waste of a character. Especially for a main character. I probably wouldn't have disliked her as much if she was just a side character, but she's not.
Sasuke is never home, even to a degree that he didn't even know what his own daughter looked like and you'd think that sakura as a mother would look after her child and press sasuke to at least spend time with sarada yet we're never shown that in boruto and judging by sasukes reaction to sarada in that arc shows me that he wasn't present for her birthdays either

It wasn't the fact she faked it that bothered me personally, it was what she actually said that threw me off, then gaslighting him. What did she mean by I admire you "now"? She had respect for Naruto since around the Chunin Exams and understood his Jinchuriki status since then too. It was like she was backpedaling her own character development every time she did something stupid, but that moment killed what redeeming qualities she had left.

Plot twist: Sakura was not poorly written, she was simply proof that the wrong kind of obsession can ruin a person who is meant to accomplish alot in life. And that no amount of talent (smart, genjustsu specialty), or guidance (trained by powerful jonin, sanin, and teamed up with powerhouses), or opportunity (learned to combat poisons, had a guy ready to wife her from the start, could have just killed Sasuke and saved time) will save a fool.

What does irritate me the most is out of team 7 trio, Sakura is quite literally nothing but a clone of her teacher. Naruto and Sasuke have elements of their sanin teacher but also things that prove that they have surpassed their teacher and have their own unique stuff.
Sakura on the other hand is just a poor man's Tsunade. Like the series has to blatantly tell you that she has surpassed Tsunade because you legit cannot infer that on your own. Like seriously you cannot convince me that in the war arc Sakura is actually better than Tsunade at all. I wanna be the middle ground here because I don’t HATE Sakura. I just dislike her character but I do like her growth in the end.
My strong dislike for Sakura stems from her bad qualities being showcased way more than her good ones. I do have to blame the writing for this one, I will admit Sakura did have good qualities but the writing itself would overshadow all of them and made sure we only saw the bad qualities which is quite a bit.
Her journey may not have meant to be physical and spiritual like Sasuke and Naruto, she had more personal growth and growth into accepting the role she’s meant to play in the world. We barely get to see any of that, and when we do see her she’s either pulling shit, yelling at naruto(or messing with his feelings) or being the weakest link in a fight Ect.
All her bad side was strung down like meat for the wolves to tear apart, you can’t blame the whole community for hating her when she was so poorly handled and written.

Ouuuu I hated her in og Naruto series and shippudden. She was literally the only female ninja that was always needed up being the damsel in distress in og Naruto and half of shippudden. She literally holds Naruto and Sasuke back in battle because they always they have to save her because always get injured or captured. It was annoying she would stand there with a Kunai and let people attack her like she was totally incapable of using some advance Jutsu. Out of the team 7, Sakura is the only one with perfect chakra control. Which is why she works so well as a medical ninja. She treats Naruto horrible often and it pissed me off, and her temper is horrible. They redeemed her character drastically in Boruto however, but it’s kind of hard to get rid of the feelings of had about her for most of the Naruto Lore. Also I have to I slightly disagree with your take on Kurenai, her whole fighting style is based off genjutsu and she was one of the best in the village.
She's not really redeemed in Boruto. She got mad and destroyed her own home because her daughter, Sarada, called her out on her bs. She even punched Naruto for a joke Kakashi made. What's worst, Naruto wasn't even in on the joke.
The problem with sakura is that looking back she probably should be at most a side character. The thing is she started with no real way to build her character. She had no goal aside from sasuke she had no path to power because she had no clan and knew no jutsu aside from basic academy level stuff. She had no clear path as a ninja she wanted to go. I may be wrong but as far as i know even Rin knew medical jutsu as a basic genin because she knew what she wanted to be. Plus taking boruto into account what Kishimoto should have done is clear. Hinata should have been the 3rd member. She has a path to power since she's a hyuga. She has like 3 built in motivations they could go with 1.) Fixing the hyuga. 2.) Being the worthy hyuga heir over her genius family members. 3.) Studying the hyuga ancestors which would obviously lead to kaguya. Honestly if you combine Hinata and Sakura you get Noel from black clover who is just a better version of both those characters.

My point was from a base level hinata had more potential as a character. She had way more you could do with her from episode 1. Whereas sakura didn't even have a clan. As for your other point people don't hold hinata to the same standards because she was a side character and sakura isn't, for a side character she does better than most of the other than naruto. As for orihime she get significantly more importance to the story than hinata of course she gets to show more personality.

What I outlined was a rewrite my point was that hinata as a character had more to work with as a baseline character, if kishimoto had made hinata the third member he COULD have made her tackle the hyuga problem as a character arc. Hinata had more to work with so wouldn't have wasted 200 chapters having nothing to do. Even if sakura was a side character forced into a main character role that would only prove my point that she shouldn't have been in that role to begin with. Combine aspects of both characters and you actually have a third main character.

The writing for this manga goes really downhill. It dropped the ball on a lot of characters Neji, Sakura, Lee & Sasuke included.

Sakura is not perfect but she's a solid character with solid growth. Kishimoto just didn't utilize her much. Her only bad moments derive from Sasuke, because Sasuke is a cancer to everyone around him.
Sakura and the orphan statement was crazy outta pocket. No excuse either because by 12 you should know right from wrong. Not only does she not get a pass but she should be criticized the way she was because she is supposedly intelligent amongst her peer group.

It's because we knew sasuke's OTP was Naruto the whole time.
That's not why. I don't hate her just so we're clear. Some would absolutely hate her for how she treated Naruto it's not the shipper that hate her ending up with Sasuke. Shippers are a tiny percentage of the fandom.
Some people ended up hating Sakura in Part 1, because even Sakura stans can admit she was useless there, and never ended up changing their minds. Some ended up hating her when she got really strong and interesting in the beginning of Part 2 and then fell off around the Pain Arc. Some hated her when she tried to gaslight Naruto into coming back to Konoha and stop chasing Sasuke. Some hated her when she got her unhinted power up in the War Arc and thought she was.
Me personally I never really cared about her in Part 1 and was genuinely interested in her when she showed her development in Part 2. I was really disappointed in how she didn't really do anything interesting till the War Arc. I'd have loved for her to actually have some fights. Like seeing her fight Konan would have been great. Even seeing her actually try to kill Sasuke would have been great. We didn't get any of that though.
Whenever Sakura had the chance to do something cool she just doesn’t for no reason. Like she should have had an actual fight with Sasuke like Naruto. He was running low on chakra after getting his ass beat by all the Kage and then struggling against Danzo there’s no reason why she should’ve been helpless there needing to be saved twice. It's because He and Neji were meant to die to Kimimaru and Kidomaru in the Sasuke retreaval mission, but Kishimoto's editors made him keep them so there was nothing planned for them in Shippuden, that's why they got forgotten.

I hate the fact that this was one of the last shonen jump chapters I remember getting as a kid when they were still sold here and I had the same reaction to the T

It sucks because I generally was rooting for Sakura for most of the series, I gave her an excuse for being ass in part 1 because she didn’t get real training yet, then in Shippudden she shown to be strong and I was ready, she had her for fight with Sasori and I was excited for things to come with for. Then she does almost nothing the rest of the series and that confession scene ready did it for me. The way she tried to manipulate Naruto someone who has supported her for the whole show, and supposedly her best friend is insane. Naruto should’ve hated her for that, but the goat still had love in his heart for her, saved her life after that moment.
18:00 what you have to understand is sakura’s jutsu isn’t explained well at ALL. And so when she said that, with the massive power up that she got in that very moment, YES she did catch up to them in the state they were in during that’s scan.
Right before then Sakura was originally banned from missions or surgeries because her constantly amazing chakra for the creation of her byakugo seal (even during sleep, the chunin exams and sasori arcs, etc). She created a third dam to store chakra in and use for missions and surgery, while still working up to her 100 healings jutsu over 2 (or 3) years.
So just remember during all of this that we’re discussing Sakura was legit HANDICAPPED. When she says “I can finally unleash my full power” that statement should have been explained a lot more.
Without this handicapped Sakura could have utilized more of her skill set besides JUST her super strength, evasion, medical ninjutsu and IQ that’s comparable to kakashi’s. We also sleep on the fact that she’s called a legit genius several times IN-VERSE.

Weakest character and nonlikeable character are two different things.
Sakura had some pretty good feats. Perhaps, there weren't THAT many, but there were plenty of impressive things about her - especially compared to other characters. HOWEVER, in spite of those things, she still seems to manage to negate all that, with her bad points. Ok, she wants to improve herself. She takes initiative and becomes Tsunade's student. She become a strong and independent woman... except, she always allows her crush to be her weakness. How can you make the case that she's an example for women, when she lets someone like Sasuke control her?
Kaguya was a flying character. Naruto can fly. Sasuke has some ranged abilities, and he at least has a flying animal that he can summon. Sakura can PUNCH really hard at close range. She claimed that she had caught up and surpassed her teammates, and she was ready to lead Team 7. If Sakura hadn't gotten a ride to the top, how in the ninja world could she have possibly landed the "Punch heard 'round the ninja world" that defeated Kaguya?
Finally, it should not be forgotten that when Sakura went to intercept Naruto, Hinata had already confessed HER love for Naruto. It was quickly proven that Sakura was NOT serious and still loved Sasuke. SO... why did she tell Naruto that she loved him? Why... knowing that Hinata loved him since day one and had already confessed, did she insert herself in the middle & attempt to interfere in his personal life? The only thing I can think of is that she was so arrogant, that she thought that Naruto was still wrapped around her finger. She was SO oblivious to his life, that she assumed that he could still be easily controlled because of a crush he had, when they were kids. Was she really planning to kill Sasuke? Was she hoping she'd fail, and she'd offer to join him after being defeated? Was she really planning to stay with Naruto and be his wife? (Displacing Hinata) Whatever the case, she was lying to Naruto. She was trying to use and manipulate him.
I never hated her, and I still had the patience to appreciate who she became in Boruto, but she made it VERY hard to respect her. She didn't have to become Naruto''s Girlfriend. She didn't have to have any relationship. I just think she would have been a better character, if she had grown out of her crush on Sasuke. How many times did she have to be hit on the head & fake-stabbed by Sasuke to get the hint? I don't mind that they finally ended up together. However, a small part of me has reservations about her being rewarded for being so persistent. It didn't seem like a healthy relationship. Is it really a good message that you can wear someone's will down, if you obsess over someone, until you literally become their last choice?

Sakura is a very bad written character. I don't give a fuck a about Sakura when she was still a kid since she had a pretty normal childhood unlike other character in Naruto. All of the cast have atleast being an asshole at some point in the show even Naruto himself.
For me, there is no problem with the fact that a character is weak or bad at first, it is the development that important. That is what Sakura has been lacking, not about power, but about her personality. Yes, I also know that with out Sakura most of the cast properly gonna have their own grave before the fourth war even happen, but if none of that caught the attention then what's the point? Its not hard to write a weak but useful character, Sakura literally the smartest member of the group, Kishimoto build her character like that. She isn't mentally unstable, isn't honest to the point stupid, she has more than enough to write for her a situation where she can shine, can prove to us her potential, can prove that even she is a completely normal ninja with no special clan or abilities, she can still be able to over come any challenges coming her way!
When she was still a genin and being push in a situation where the main power of the team are Naruto and Sasuke are now helpless and the enemies are gonna attack them. Sakura, a normal ninja with no specialty have to step up and protect her friends or she'll loose everything. She build up trap, used anything in her reach to find a way to defeated enemies whom are much more stronger than her.
At that moment, Sakura cut her long hair that is a symbol her feminine, her weak old self, and finally become an actual shinobi with a long way ahead to be able to become stronger.
.....Then she fail and Lee came to the rescue.
At this point this is entirely Kishimoto fault. Why the fuck would he build up Sakura so much like this and then completely ruined it by let her got back to being the character that need to be rescue?! After the timeskip, Sakura really impressed me with her development both knowledge and strengths....

Her fight with Saori, an Akatsuki really shown how much she growth, she is much confident, she analyzed the battle, the enemy, didn't hesitate to risk herself in order to get her out of a tough situation, used the strong fist that she learnt from her sensei to win, and she did win. And then...nothing, the rest of the show she went back to her pathetic self, a simp. I swear to god whenever I saw a Sakutards debate, 98% of the time this is the only fight that they use, the other one is when Sakura hit Kaguya once, that's all. No more major battle or any kind of situation that can help her keep her development.
Naruto is literally Kishimoto work, everything is possible as long as he wanted it to happen, clearly he just see his female character no more than object to push the plot point and support the male character. The reason Sakura been added to the Manga in the first place is for the story to have a love triangle some shit.
Her concept is actually my favorite, but as we can all seen, Kishimoto fail to made it work. I know damn well she is the strongest kunoichi, but that wasn't enough! Sakura is a medical ninja, she is in the role support, but isn't Tsunade is just like her yet she shown us that she is strong, she shine in her moment even when she just a side character. Sakura has no powerful clan is special but not that special for the fans to overated her like that. Minato also has no powerful clan, Lee is the same age as her and literally can't use any Jutsu other than Taijutsu. And yeah they all became strong by learn from a good sensei, Sakura is the same, she learn the Byakugou.
Her love for Sasuke never gone, at this point it is obsession . That obsession didn't make any sense??? And no, not the "Sasuke Retsuden" that happened AFTER they married.
The thing I hate most is not that she married the person tried to kill her multiple times, not that she is so bland, but the fact that she in the end is just a copy of Tsunade, not a independent kunoichi that not only use what she originally learnt from her sensei and then blend in with her own technique to suppress her sensei. Naruto and Sasuke are also almost the copy of their sensei, that's why If Sakura can do better by doing the thing above, it would really a way to help her have her own "specialty".
At the end of Naruto, team 7 shouldn't get married at all. Friendzone is totally fine. Everyone is all busy with their work, they should focus on that. If they lack emotional support, just adopted some pets, cats is a very good option.
Overall, Haruno Sakura is strong base on strength but her mental is weak. She has potential, but being wasted.

Not bite the opps wrist while you got a whole KNIFE in your hand!!!😂It's the Forest of death!😂😂😂 when Sasuke clapped Team 7 at Orochimaru 's hideout I would have made her give up on Sasuke in that moment and naturally built up her love for Naruto and her hate for Sasuke and his betrayal. when she goes to kill Blind Sasuke I'd make it a hard fight for Sasuke because he still drained from the Danzo fight and he's literally sparring with a student of one of the other sannin and I would make her break his Susanoo like Tsunade did Madara but it would make more sense because Sasuke literally just got done fighting a Kage Elect ND he's going blind so his ocular jutsu would be nerfed! She could have completely been redeemed in shippuden naturally!

But in Boruto members of the side branch are essentially slaves to the main branch and any main branch member can lobotomize any side branch member at will.
And Two, he promised Nagato that he would Bring Peace to Amegakure but in Boruto Ame is totally abandoned and is now a HQ for Kara.

I mean you know how Naurto liked Sakura in the beginning of the series until he moved on from her from good and realized the Hinata was the one that liked him for a long time and got together with Hinata. It’s so embarrassing that this is even a discussion. Yes her writing sucks, no one is denying that but the problem is that literally ALL female Characters in Naruto have trash writing except Tsunade and Tsunade’s writing is only okay,
yet Sakura is the only one getting bashed like so hella lot. Now you could argue and say “Well she’s a Main Character” but no that’s not the reason at all because look at Hinata for example, who literally has the worst writing you could possibly give a female Character. She’s barely hated. Why? Because she’s nice and has melons. And it’s not even because Sakura is “aggressive” either. People simp for Road to Ninja Hinata too.
Another point is, that literally almost everyone I’ve been arguing with doesn’t even name any reasonable or CANON Reason. It’s always some random ahh Filler scenes or scene where she’s a kid.
Now to the reasons named in the Video.
Sakura’s confession was not a lie, that is confirmed by Kishimoto who said that he was showing an honest girl. And he’s been hinting that Sakura might have feelings for Naruto since OG in the databooks written by Kishi.
Studio Pierrot had a big part in why Naruto didn’t end up with Sakura which is why things turned out the way they did.
And Sakura DID want to protect Naruto she was gaslighted by Sai to confess.

Sakura and Ino’s fight wasn’t the best fight but it wasn’t that had imo. They’re both not the strongest and it was hinted they’d fight.

Sakura’s love for Sasuke doesn’t come out of nowhere if you read the Manga. In OG there were several scenes where he blushed and noticed when she was feeling down, complimenting her so she would feel better.
Shippuden defo ruined their relationship but saying that Sasuke hasn’t shown that he deeply cares about her. He definitely has.
When she said “I finally caught up to them”
It was a reverence to scene where she walked behind them in Og and wished to walk beside them.
She meant that she was finally able to fight along side them

in part 1 she actually had a proper character arc, she had an impact in the manga's narrative and in the plot, resonated with naruto's character development. in part 2 she was basically... not here. you can't call not writing bad writing. as you said, hinata is not a main character, so you don't really expect her to have more than that to begin with. she had a decent intervention in the narrative and had a few moment after the story was done focusing on her character development. you can say it's a shame she didn't play a more important part, just like every secondary character in naruto, aside from shikamaru.
so yeah, sakura is the only one getting bashed because she's a main character, so you expect a main character level of development. when secondary character are useless, most of the time they're simply not here. sakura is on screen 99% of the time, doing nothing, being irrelevant to the plot and the narrative.
sakura not being able to kill sasuke doesn't make sense. it does make sense that as a person she can't bring herself to kill sasuke, sure. but she's a character, it doesn't make sense for kishimoto to not take the perfect opportunity to give her actual character development and growth. her main internal conflict as a character is sasuke, and this internal conflict never gets anywhere, she just... keeps being conflicted forever until the situation gets better on its own.
sakura's fight with ino, the action was uninteresting, the narrative of the two character is completely stupid and petty. the only 1v1 she will ever get is the worst fight of the whole manga, and she didn't even win, how pathetic is that.
if you seriously think that a few panels of sasuke blushing depicts their relationship as deep enough to make sakura's behavior believable and understandable, then idk what to say..
and she's just dislikable overall, she hits naruto for no reason, (this kind of comedy is only "funny"when there is a reason or a joke that goes along with it) and trampled over naruto's feelings several times and even if it wasn't her intention, it still makes her dislikable.

Not only that but her Fights are also lame and show that her Battle IQ is extremely low overall, Example her trying to attack Pain. In the Manga she straight up charges at Pain and instantly get knocked out within a Panel. Her Plan was to protect Naruto yet it didn’t make sense because she knew she’d instantly die so it was more or less just a way for her to confess to Naruto which comes off as selfish. In the War Arc, when Shikamaru almost died, everyone even Tobirama was glad that he made it thanks to Naruto’s Chakra while only Hinata was not and looked sad thinking “I wanna stand beside Naruto too” which is just so weird. She’s just unlikable. Her Character is poorly written simply for the fact that her Screentime was used to simp over Naruto instead of showing interactions with Neji, with her Sister, learning more about her Clan. Making a Character only exist for the purpose of loving another Character is bad writing.
Sakura is absolutely overhated. Since you talked about the Manga I’m assuming you’ve read it. Starting off in Classic she was a normal little girl with no special powers whatsoever. She was a little bratty etc like most kids. But she reflected on her Actions. Example when she “made fun of Naruto for being an Orphan” (which she didn’t even do she just said he doesn’t behave and Sasuke was the one that mentioned he has np parents but whatever). She reflected on what she said, understanding that it was wrong and hurtful and gently smiled deciding to be nicer. She, overall in Classic was literally nice to Naruto. In the Zabuza Arc she saved him from a Shuriken, in the Chunin Exams she protected both him and Sasuke with her life, she cheered for Naruto, was ready to give up her exam so Naruto could archive his Dream etc.
In Shippuden she got even better and has shown many times how skilled she actually is, managing to make an Antidote against sasoris poison within just a few hours etc. not gonna list everything she has done now but you get my point. She was genuinely not mean to Naruto, no she cared a lot about him. In the Manga she hit him around 17 times in total in 700+ Chapters that’s like nothing and that only when he was being a perv.
The only real flaw Sakura has is her Love for Sasuke(which she would’ve moven on from as hinted in the Manga that she has feelings for Naruto but didn’t because of the Editors) and her not having many fights.
The reason sakura is hated is the Anime simply making her look a lot more aggressive and meaner. I mean the Scene I mentioned earlier where she reflected on what she said, in the Anime she looked pissed off while in the Manga she genuinely smiled.
