The Mambo is ancient and getting a bit battered nowadays, but I have resisted the temptation to refinish it. Inside it has a 3900KV outrunner which was a bit of a fiddle to install but pushes it along quite a bit faster than the original set up. In the video it is running on a 2S lipo set up. I don't have the courage to try it on 3 yet! I might if the lake is very calm one day. The EDF boat is a "Mosquito" hull designed by Glynn guest with a home brewed superstructure. It is balsa and ply, with very light glass cloth and finishing resin. I think the fan is 55mm and about 5000KV and runs on a 3S lipo. If I did it again I would scale it up by about 10% as it does get a bit hard to steer at full throttle, but it performs better than I anticipated, so I am quite happy with it as it stands.

I got the same boat the mamba from graupner it’s made in 1994 i am rebuilding it right now.
