yep the obvious choice for the key is to lightly sand the key. But I found filing the key can take to much off at once and comprise the key... But the sanding like when traditional impressioning but on the sides will work wonders for you.
seems poking a pin hole or cutting a slit in the foil over each dimple makes it work faster on other videos, also a shim was used over the foil while inserting the key. shaving the key maybe necessary to make a perfect key tool
So you destroy the working key in order to make one that works kinda? If you started with a blank how would you know where to make the deep dimples. Also why are some of the cuts not covered with foil?
+Gregg White one would get a different key from a different lock of the same brand and style... use that key (another non-working key from the same model of lock) to deep-drill and make the prepared key.
+Carlos Medina well, the *exact* foil in this video was purchased at an ACE Hardware in the middle east. so i'm not sure i could read the name properly from it. ;-) but this is the same product... www.homedepot.com/p/1-89-in-x-50-yd-322-Multi-Purpose-HVAC-Foil-Tape-1207792/100030120
+bridgendesar So damn evil. His excuses would be exactly the same as yours if you were caught trying to impression the lock. "I know my key works, it just wont turn. Give me a minute, lock must be jammed or something". The difference is the thief would get it open but the owner would be left with his pants down, trying to prove ownership. At that point, you are no longer a thief, just an evil evil troll.
Why not file the thickness of the key down a bit to compensate for the foil tape?
that would be a good idea, yes
"Don't gunk up the tip as you go in."
Advice for life.
UnitSe7en lmfao!
"I wonder if we can stick it back in."

More secure than most padlocks if this is a worthwhile attack!
Only works with low quality locks which have high tolerances. Nobody is using it in the filed.
@@henryevans7163 Most people that don't know about security are using low quality locks. And the same majority are the ones making the decisions.

I heard New Order and "More than This" in the background!
hello, as anyone seen foil impressioning techniques on keso cylinder ? because similar to this one

He used a different key from the same brand.
I don't know about the foils though.
There are cuts on both sides so you can put the key in both ways for ease of use, but only one side engages the pins
if you lost your key and can't remember where the dimples are what do you do then for this method

Thank you that is extremely helpful
Hi Bro,
What's the foil you used, name, trademark please. Couldn't find it as I have no name.

Thanks DevianOllam, you have been helpfull, I'll try to find the same.
Thanks bro ;)
This works only with lower quality dimple locks. This looks like the Duracam 70mm 9 pin dimple lock made in India. No wonder.
well done mate.. not chatted on twitter for a while.. hope your doing well..
Somyou recreate a visual copy of the original... Would have been cool IF you did it without use of the original key.
the original key was drilled out so it woudln't work if you put it in. It's basically a blank with non-working dimples in it. f
Anyone tried something similar with a normal lock?
These are normal locks
@@Keneo1 That's a dimple, here the standard is a vertical slot with cuts on the top.
It only works on cheap dimple locks with low tolerances. It doesn’t work on regular pin tumblers with high tolerances.
Yo i like ur show I love keys and locks just got me a 2585 series electromagnetic lock we'll keep it comin
lazer is off... i have a different drill press but the same problem
Sweet Dude Nice Attack. Nick.
Cool
how did i get here from beginners yoga?
Grandioso
Pointless if you don't know where the dimples are in the first place?
You should try pranking a bike owner by changing the lock and then pretending to be a concerned citizen and calling the cops

lock pickers dont risk their freedom by doing stupid shit with their skills like that. but im pretty sure youre not serious
hah. new order. love it.
I put gun oil on the foil to slide it in easier.
.....10years later.......!!!
New order
*When* you try this at home kids
thumbs up for good music tastes
