Not going to lie, this is the best American flag punisher I’ve seen yet, and that’s even out of the CNC ones I’ve seen done. Looks fantastic! I might have to give this a go to hang in the shop.
Holy cow 10,000 views!!! You guys rock and I appreciate every single view. More videos are coming. Check out my other videos already posted. Thanks again for all of the interest!!!
In my Spare time Awseome video first of all. Second, are you burning the outer edge all the way around? Do you charge $75 plus shipping or with shipping? And lastly, do you have a store or like an Etsy shop? TIA
Charles Hinton thanks! I do burn the outside edges, I do charge shipping buts it’s not too much. Last time I shipped it was around $10. And I have a face book page or you can DM me. facebook.com/In-My-Spare-Time-Woodworking-794832740909244/
dunno if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last few months :)
Native Son Wood Art Thanks! The wood stencil really speeds the process and most of the flag stuff i make i use the same burn and stain process. Thanks for watching!!
That is hot!!!! I make flags and other wood working projects and now I can't wait to make one of these. It looks like fun to do and I enjoyed watching. Keep it up great job.
This is probably a stupid question but it seems like the union and stars should be on the other side. How come you are putting it on where it seems backwards?
You would think so but it's actually the opposite. The proper way to display the American flag vertically is with the stars at the top left. But since this is not an actual flag but only a representation of one, you can usually go either side and no one will really get to bothered by it.
John Klein the stars on this one are 1/2” and that would look pretty cool with raised stars. Would love to see it when it’s done. Good luck and thanks for watching!!
one of these days when I learn how to make one of these instructional videos I think I'm gonna try to make the music a little quieter so people can hear my voice.
Bill Danic i try to keep a steady hand when putting the stain on. Because each stripe is a different board there is a natural grain break. I never had a problem. I hope this helps.
@@inmysparetime8220 i did. My friend seems to be going to expensive route. So I'll probably just order custom skulls off of etsy or ebay or other places for 50$. And metal ones for 75$

In my Spare time I just went to Home Depot and they didn’t carry miniwax. I found the them at Lowe’s but I only saw true blue and scarlet for the red and blue colors. Hopefully it looks right. They did have the Pickeling white wash at Lowe’s also
ramleerod I do/did sell them for $75 and got it all day long. I even shipped some all over the country. I have pulled back a lot tho because of time restraints.
Carl Schmiedeke that’s how i transfer the image to the new wood. By cutting out everything with color it leaves you with the new skull. I guess i could just outline with a marker but that how i always did it.
💎EXCELENTE VÍDEO💎 🔥YO hice un colgante pequeño de este mismo y me quedo muy muy bien 🔥De echo yo lo hice y lo grabe para mi canal MUY BUEN CANAL RECOMENDADO👍
Awesome job, thanks for posting! I noticed you hand painted without using tape for stripe lines, very nice!
Genius idea, thanks for sharing

Looks amazing! Do you remember what kind of stains and whitewash you used? The one i have is very runny and i would never get straight lines! Thanks!
Looks awesome

If you mentioned it I missed it. What is the brand and color name of the stains you're using?
Kevin Tanner hey thanks. It’s minwax royal blue, scarlet and white pickling stain.

First off, great work! I think you should mess around the house and tape it more often lol. What kind of stain did you use? I just subscribed!
Minwax scarlet, navy blue and white pickling stain.
And thanks!!
Do you use water based stain or paint?
water base stain minwax to be specific. scarlet, navy blue and white pickling stain are the colors.
This is absolutely bad ass!!! Can you please tell me the size of this template you have?
The template is 11x17” i started with 12 12x18 1x1” pieces of wood or 1” strip of pallet wood. Thanks for watching!
I'm try to make one exactly how you did it, it's bad ass! That cricut template is made out of vinyl? Or is it like laminated?
@@SbfWill vinyl originally but i made a plywood wooden template which is what you see in the video

if you make a steel templet of those STARS and sandblast over it. Get same effect alot faster!
New Life Furniture i have thought about that. The stars are very time consuming. Thanks
Turned out Awesome, i might try one with a blue line for my buddy who is in Law Enforcement
Thanks! i have made a few TBL punishers. they are fun to make.
Great Video.. awesome replies to questions.. NEW SUBCRIBER!
Chris Singleton thanks for watching my video and subscribing!! I hope to have more videos up soon.
What size are the stars?
I’m making one now and I’m thinking I’ll cut the stars out and glue them on after pickling them to give it a 3D effect.
John Klein the stars on this one are 1/2” and that would look pretty cool with raised stars. Would love to see it when it’s done.
Good luck and thanks for watching!!
what do you use to hang it? Just a saw tooth hanger?
munkeynutz13 I use that or i put 1/2”x1” strip across back. Either one works fine.
Great work! Good idea with the template. Looks awesome!
Dillons Woodworks thank you very much! I’m a fan of your stuff as well.
Yeah I had a friend that went to those parades also in Massachesettes I can see if he might want it next time he visits the office with his boyfriend
Good idea with the spray paint. I tried to draw mine and did not work.

very nice job...whats the high gloss product you use?
Patriots1645 thanks so much! I use a clear gloss spray enamel in a can.

Mark Melton thank you sir!
How can I show you the one I made? Thanks for the inspiration
Chris Capaccio got your pics! They look great!
SWEET!!!!!! nicely done .....
TY sir!
Are the one inch boards you are using 1 x 1’s?
Warrior for Your Kids 1” wide x 3/4” but 1x1” would work you wouldn’t need a backer brace as long as it’s glued up good.
Nice work
Island Photographer Thank you!!
That's awesome, about how much time did you have to invest in a skull overall?
Joe Flint in the beginning around 2 hours but i have it down to an hour and a half. Thanks for watching and the comment!
just beautiful! On my to do list!

Can you make something like this but with the Star Wars Rebel Alliance symbol?
I’m not making anything new right now but that would be cool.
How long are your strips you're using?
the skull is made from 12 16"x1" boards.
In my spare time, where did you get the punisher stencil to make the cut out? Nice work!
Raul Munoz a friend of mine made it for me on a cricut. I believe they got the file from google
