Yeah, this is the first time I've seen actual footage of when Yui fell off the stage. If you watch Su-metal closely after Yui 'disappeared', she kept looking to her left hoping for a signal from someone to give her a status on Yui's condition. Onee-chan looking after her younger sisters. And I know Moa twisted her ankle on the second night. I saw the pain and tears she had at the end of the song when I originally watched the concert. Good thing it was the last song of the set. Thanks again Buttons, for always having the rare footage.

The three of us were completely unfazed in front of 60,000 spectators in Sonisphere. This accident was a few months before that. It is this kind of experience that has made them so strong. I heard that they were under a lot of pressure when they first appeared at domestic metal festivals. I still remember the photo that captured Su-Metal's deadly gaze at that time. They have always challenged themselves on the road since they were very young.
Imagine what was going through Sun& Moa’s heads when Yui didn’t appear as expected? Ultra professional of them to finish the song but they must have been worried sick about their friend. As for Moa how I hate to see her(or any of them) upset. Again her professionalism is a credit to her.

I've only been listening to BabyMetal for a couple of weeks, but I've seen this concert mentioned a few times because of these incidents. You still can't see much of what happened to Yui because of video quality and the shaky camera, but if she fell off stage then I wouldn't be surprised if she received a pain killing injection to be able to carry on. For Moa, she's lucky that it was the last song of the night, and I also think that the high energy performance would have helped because of the high adrenaline level she would have had. I know from playing sport that adrenaline can help you ignore minor injuries, and push through an injury that would have been more painful otherwise. I'm sure they also had people behind the scenes encouraging them to get back on stage, but the fact that they ended the night with such a high quality performance is proof that they had the will to succeed even at that young age. Thanks for making this video, and I can't wait to see how high BabyMetal will climb! 🤘🦊🤘
Even though these 3 girls are beyond talented, professional and seem un-phased, it must have been truly hard to focus on singing at the same level and for Su and dance and concentrate on the choreography for Moa. Wondering what happened to Yui that whole time. They are so loving and caring, it must have been eating at them. Then poor Moa had to get hurt too. These girls are just too amazing. 1000% effort to give fans a show regardless of how beat up or worried they are. 🤘🦊🤘
To clarify Yui's fall, the stage was poorly made and wires were everywhere. She had gotten her foot trapped in the wires around and tripped over and fell from very high up. This was not her fault, obviously, as the stage was made sloppily. On her last appearance (I think 2017) she had a back brace which limited her movement and I'm sure she was in hidden agony, it is unknown if it was from this performance in the video or not.
Because we are fans, because we love these girls, we feel protective of them, as if they were our daughter or little sister. We don't want to see them hurt. I ended up with a broken arm on the last play of the game, but midway through the 3rd quarter it was noticed that I had a deep gash (got stitches later) on my right knee, but it was too cold to feel the pain. The blood streak down my sock was noticeable during the 4th quarter.
I can't see anything, fancam video is usually bad. I have wondered though if Yui picked up some kind of injury during this incident that got worse over time, and eventually led to her leaving BM. I wish I knew what she was doing now, it's like she fell off the face of the earth. If she ever comes back to music, I'd support her in a heartbeat, no matter the music genre.
@@theviper1429 I think I know what commercial you're talking about. The girl in the commercial kinda looks like Yui, but it's not her. She hasn't made any public appearance ever since she left Babymetal.
it seems that this has had a long-term impact on Yui condition and health to this day. and for moa she can continue her career to this stage, that's extraordinary of course for suzuka who is now even more mature, she tries to fix what she hasn't had time to do when she sees yui and moa have an accident on stage on giving direct assistance to momoko who experiencing something similar. with moa too.
They really do love and care for each other like they're sisters. Su takes the role of the oldest sister really well. The way she looks at Moa and Yui at 9:29 is truly only a look a worried older sister can give. You can tell how much Yui and Moa depend on Su, and how much they depend on each other.
It is very special how they all care for one another. Their song, song number 4, is PURELY because of how much they rely on each other and support each other and how Su takes the role of older sister as far as I understand. They were on a road trip to their next gig and Su challenged them to create a song during the bus ride and thus the song was born. At least thats how I've been told. They truly are a special group that deserves all the love the fans can give them!
❤️🦊 Su-chan, Moa-chan ❤️🦊and Yui-chan ❤️🦊 are amazing performers. And, also, remember these three " monster metal ladies" give us their all for five or more songs a show. I 💕 them lots. OMG you make us cry so much! Hey thanks for understanding what we went through! This is important, this video, the analysis, what it all means. I hope people pay attention. ~Su Yui Moa Momo -Metal
Thanks for this video! The picture of them at the end with the red light looks amazing. Really sad to see them suffering. I guess that a lot of people underestimate the hard work it needs to perform at a show like this. Lots of respect for these 3 ladies. Personally I think it would have been okay to stop the music during Headbanger, to check if Yui is alright. It must have been so strange for Su and Moa that Yui was suddenly missing. But I guess whoever was in control of the soundboard controls thought everything is fine.
You never know what is going on behind the scenes but I am sure it something very drastic was wrong of course we would hope the show would stop for the safety of someone. As for the red light image at the end of the video, here is a link to it so you can have it for your own use -> i.ibb.co/PxVJp10/TRIO4444.png Much love.
@@ButtonsMetalYeah, I also think they would stop. I'm sure they saw really fast that it wasn't something serious and Yui was okay 🙂 Wow thank you very much for the link, this is my new background 🤗
@Buttons-Metal Thanks for the heartbreaking analysis. Everything I wanted to say has already be said. My only addition; they truly love and care for each other. I believe that bond and love still exist, they still care for each other, and stay in contact as "sisters" regardless of the circumstances.
you do a good job with your videos, also in the song "ljime dame zettai" moa falls again... this is seen before yui and moa start fighting (in the song obviously). It is very sad to see this, I think that the directors are very demanding with them or something like that, in Japan with the idols themselves, they are quite demanding, In addition to the fact that their songs and choreographies require so much energy (since this genre is metal, something very heavy, mixed with jpop) which mostly in jpop are jumps. I hope Yui is well wherever she is.
I heard that Yui slowed down during the running part in IDZ so that her and Moa-chan could reach the stage at the same time. Idk if it's true but that's what I heard
I heard this as well but could no spot a point to visually prove this or find a actual statement about it from a first hand witness so I left this speculation out but yes, I heard this one as well.
Yui waited for Moa on the stairs, just before going on stage. she waited for Moa to arrive to go on stage at the same time. if you look closely, on the right, you can see Yui waiting for Moa on the stairs 6:29. Very blurry, but you can clearly see yui waiting.
This is a year later but I think somewhere after yui's fall, at 3:28 in the original video there's a quick glimpse of 2 people behind the stage it's not sure if it's yui and a staff member but it is something I thought about😅
Thanks for this buttons. Your work is appreciated and deserves praise as well. GJ. I remember Su chan once saying she did worry about the safety of the fans in the mosh pit when asked about it. Mosh pits are alot safer Imo. LOL The girls are just durable like Ultraman.
No praise needed but thank you for the kind words tho. And yeah, indeed. The crowd is pretty safe with fellow kitsune looking after one another. I used to have a clip of children at BM concerts in pits playing but dont remember where I put it. Needless to say Budokan is always that one boss battle they have to fight time to time but the girls always endure! Much love mate!
@@ButtonsMetal WoW I've seen children on adult shoulders but kids in the pit sounds like classic Babymetal. LOL Babymetal is the funnest family friendly death metal band in town so it makes perfect sense to me!
The two little senshis and their captain… I loved them before seeing this, and I sure as hell respected their hard work and professionalism (I’d need training to prepare for all the cardio they do in a concert)… But this made my respect and love for them skyrocket. My respect for the company, on the other hand… I’m happy that Momo-metal has had her chance in the spotlight, but I’m worried about Yui. I just wish I could see her singing as Yui Mizuno, since that’s what she wants.
I just checked over my Red night and Black night DVDs from their performances then. I was wondering whether Su looking at Yui and Moa was really her checking on them or whether it was part of the choreography. On Black night her eyes went out of shot so I couldn't really see.
Here is a video of Big Fox IDZ -> th-cam.com/video/AXXBuShWRgk/w-d-xo.html . During that breakdown SU is looking forward at her hand. I checked other shows as well and they have from what I seen her just looking forward. I do not think this little interaction of her looking right, left then the nod is part of the routine.
If you watch the Black Night concert (the following 2014 Budokan show) you’ll see they added temporary railings to the catwalks/runways connecting the small outer platforms to the main stage.
An excellent forensic examination of this important event in BABYMETAL history. Well done........ this video could have been called "CSI Tokyo"! lol You should definitely email this link to Amuse /FAO Kobametal!!!
Thank you for this vedio. I'm always happy to see babymetal content I'm sure Sue and moa sill have some type of contact through social media with yui. Seeing this made me realize even more how much of a strong connection they had so kawaii Babymetal 💕 🤟
I wonder if falling off the stage was the start of Yui's health issues. A slight back injury could have turned worse, she is a real physical dancer and a perfectionist. Moa's leg jerk could have been a bad muscle cramp. I have had those calf cramps and the muscle jerks and the pain is horrible.
I do not talk about YUIMETAL because it was her choice to leave BABYMETAL and stay out of the public spotlight since October 2018. To respect her privacy and her well-being I simply do not get into conversations or speculation about her. Her choice is to remain hidden so I respect her choice. Sorry for any inconvenience.
I read everyone's warm comments. Tears naturally filled my eyes. However, I think there is little connection between Yui falling off the stage and her withdrawal. Balance is important when it comes to teamwork. Because not everyone can take the lead. I guess that was the problem. thank you.
when they tour EU/USA there was ambulance at 3times a tleast, so assume injury or not feeling well. what i can say as a fan, is that metal rythm dance song for 4minutes are like sprint, idol useds to spend energy, but its metal dance here, people who moshpit do it less than 2minutes and out of breath...thye do it an entire hour, alterning different song for pause. if you lack sugar, oxygen, cold etc, you can easily feel unwell, and all the dance moves are physical demanding, i really think that yui stop babymetal for long therm injury and not just a disagree to continue, and i'm glad they protect her privacy until now, and we shouldnt know what happen, because i prefer this version that juridic problem or bad behavior like we see in many uk/us rockband.
I feel bad for the 3 girls, but like professionals they got all fully energy for their fans, i really give my fully respects, when a hurt my pinky toe im dead but they hurt the entire foot and still dancing and junping so awesome. Btw thank you for the spanish subtitles
@@funtimemangle44alt88 That moment, sadly, was the beginning of why I had to leave the band. It's a fairly convoluted story, but that was the symbolic event that signaled the beginning of my departure. The performance of Ijime on Black Night was the final performance for which I was fully present. You can see towards the end the pain in Moa's eyes and mine, because we knew what was happening. Even Su almost cries for just a split second, and Su is our rock, so if she gets teary you know it is intense and significant. This is also why I left a little gap when we all connected thumbs up. From then to 2018 I was gradually spiritually fading out, and finally one day I fell asleep and did not wake up. My sisters quietly looked after me and kept it hush hush. One might liken it to Dorothy journeying to Oz. How long has it been since that tragic fall? Essentially 10 years, right? Hmmm. Interesting. There's no place like Home There's no place like Home There's no place like Home C U soon ;) ~Yui-Metal
@@Serena4226 I remember it quite well now. I remember getting dizzy and my vision blurring and knowing I was close to the edge of the stage, but I could not control my body or my balance. I remember tipping over the edge and yelling that I was falling, but not much after that. It was Su's fault! It always is ;)
@@JustOneWillingSoul I thought you tripped over some loose wires that someone left laying over the stage. Why is the yell in English? Shouldn't it have been "ochiru"? How could it be Su's fault? She was still at the center of the main stage and isn't she your rock?

I can't tell anything from the vid. Did she fall down those 3 or 4 steps or was there a lower level? Did she lie on the floor or go somewhere out of sight after the fall? Did she not return during the song because she thought she was hurt or because she didn't know if it would be the right thing to do? So many questions!
Ii think Yui after left the band and close all of her perivate life because like mostly japanese.. They disappear because jouhatsu or A Japanese term that means evaporation, and also refers to a person who deliberately disappears to start something new. Jouhatsu can be a way to calm yourself from the pressure and views of the people around you and continuing a new life after result of failure in her previous life.. And i think Yui san feel so comfortable today.. She can go anywhere without people know she is ex baby metal.. If she still alive i think she do some business or become a Professional worker that she love.. Have a boryfriend.. will marry soon.. Or other bad thoughts is.. She still sick because back injury.. or she passed away because of covid yesterday.. Anyway lets pray and hope for yui more happy and continue her life peacefully.. I hope someday she will comeback again at front of public.. And im so happy can seeing her as a Yui Metal, its part of my life story..

I saw her in a Japanese commercial a little while ago. I think she switched to acting

@@theviper1429 That advert is someone else and not Yui
@@theviper1429 I think I know what commercial you're talking about. The girl in the commercial kinda looks like Yui, but it's not her. She hasn't made any public appearance ever since she left Babymetal.
Poor Yui and Moa, I hope they have been able to rest well after this concert, they're so strong for going on hurted like this ❤️❤️
I am sure they had time for recovery and such.
This was 10 years ago lol
@@TroobAdoreMusic duh? He was talking about Right after the concert.
@@n3493 well duh they have been able to rest after. It's been 10 years
@troobadoremusic not the sharpest knife in the kitchen
it seems that this has had a long-term impact on Yui condition and health to this day.
and for moa she can continue her career to this stage, that's extraordinary of course for suzuka who is now even more mature, she tries to fix what she hasn't had time to do when she sees yui and moa have an accident on stage on giving direct assistance to momoko who experiencing something similar. with moa too.
I am thinking that Yui's fall during this concert sparked a chain of events that led to her departure from the group in 2018...
Also, to remember that these girls have been doing this a lloonnngg time. Keep reaching for the stars ✨✨✨ beautiful young ladies. One 💕 love from Texas USA.
I'm sure they saw really fast that it wasn't something serious and Yui was okay 🙂
Wow thank you very much for the link, this is my new background 🤗
@@wickeddummy You are most welcome and enjoy!
@Buttons-Metal Thanks for the heartbreaking analysis. Everything I wanted to say has already be said. My only addition; they truly love and care for each other.
I believe that bond and love still exist, they still care for each other, and stay in contact as "sisters" regardless of the circumstances.
A gigantic cushion of love saved them both, the love of the fans for the BabyMetal
🍅💀🍅
🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Great analysis.
Should have also put in the crowd's chanting for Yui, and then them going insane when they saw her back on stage.
I left it out the same way I left out the crowd stuff with Moa. Kept it to the incidents best I could.
you do a good job with your videos, also in the song "ljime dame zettai" moa falls again... this is seen before yui and moa start fighting (in the song obviously).
This is a year later but I think somewhere after yui's fall, at 3:28 in the original video there's a quick glimpse of 2 people behind the stage it's not sure if it's yui and a staff member but it is something I thought about😅
I find it crazy some of the things these girls pushed through at their age to give the fans a good show.
@@timrose3960 I found the clip and just uploaded it. They even have BM cosplay. Its just so wholesome seeing them having their own little circle pit.

Aujourd'hui, babyangel yui San, nous manque toujours autant....😇🤩🤩😃
I don't think I can myself to watch this, she brought so much happiness to the world, I hope she knows it and is doing ok.
Excellent, especially Moa❤️😘😍🤟👍😊

Well done........ this video could have been called "CSI Tokyo"! lol
You should definitely email this link to Amuse /FAO Kobametal!!!
LOLOL Thanks
Thank you for this vedio.
I'm always happy to see babymetal content
I'm sure Sue and moa sill have some type of contact through social media with yui.
Seeing this made me realize even more how much of a strong connection they had so kawaii
Babymetal 💕 🤟
Sumetal is such a big sister to the little ones you can just tell

@2:04 Yui yells "I'm falling"
Those who have ears should hear ;)
Wait omg ur right???
Hmmm. Interesting.

omg I hear it now. That makes it twice as heart wrenching.

Such brave, strong-willed super ladies!
