Being a newish Babymetal fan of only a couple of months, I would've laughed before if you told me that I would gladly watch a middle school girls graduation, and get emotional about it. Yet here I am. These girls are so moving and inspirational. Moa giving Su a hug made me cry, so sweet.
Well it was a mean date for the girls. Amuse had already Plans for the last Babymetal concert. But Kobametal Was still foghting with Amuse that this was his Dreamteam. And he didn't dare to give the girls promises he might not be able to keep.
Poor Moa at 16:53 with her heart breaking. She's going to be with Su in Babymetal for the next 11 years and still counting, but the thought of not being at school with Su is too much for her. That's adoration on a new level!
You could be right. I think they knew Babymetal had blown up into something really big, but maybe they didn't know how it was going to go forward. The headmaster talks about Su continuing her journey as a "super woman" so I presumed they all knew it was going to continue after Su's graduation, but that's just me speculating. Were the Legend concerts before or after Su graduated? I've just checked. Legend I was 06/10/2012, Legend D was 20/12/2012 (Su's birthday) and Z was 01/02/2013. Graduation was 31/03/2013. These concerts were very successful so they knew Babymetal had blown up, and Su was already considered an established "super woman." But it doesn't mean the path for the rest of that year and the World Tour of 2014 had been worked out.@@barrymckockinner9292

You know, people might think, that this is something bad when the culture force that kids to be an idols, and that's probably a right way to think, but at the same time looking at, for example, Marina Horiuchi now, I see a perfect example of right chosen life path where Sakura Gakuin was an amazing place to start. I really hope that nothing creepy was happened during their education and I'm really glad that they're an example for all japanese kids, an example for how to be supportive to each other, for how to be a good friends, for how to express your honest feelings, for how to appreciate what was given to you and how to give to others. I don't know how it should be but I really think, that such examples is what we're missing in our western culture, and also why people in Japan are so kind and such beautiful-minded.

I too hope nothing happened behind the scenes, but from what I've seen, this was an environment that was amazing and revolutionary. Sakura Gakuin was THE group, simple as that.
These moments, the speeches, diploma distributing, The Graduation Toss, the heartfelt thanks and words, all made this very special for me personally. Su-Chan fought like crazy to keep it together, and did well for the most part, but I'm sure once she got offstage she just let loose. I have said this elsewhere, but if you noticed Su-Chan literally threw herself into her performance of 'My Graduation Toss', she was actually headbanging to that song probably more than she would normally do when she is performing as Babymetal. This is just my opinion, but I also noticed that after this graduation ceremony, no one else had come close to matching Su-Chan's graduation. Hers seemed to have been more heartfelt and intense, everyone, and especially Su-Chan, threw their selves into every performance, no doubt Su-Chan's legacy is cemented into the memories of Sakura Gakuin forever. I'm the same way. If I were to describe how I feel, I would be told that I have a caring heart. Moments like this makes me happy that I have a happy heart... and see that I'm not the only one.
its really cool to see the director speak so highly of su and with such tremendous confidence that she would be alright and be a superlady.... 10 years later and she stabileshed herlsef as a Metal Queen that the world is starting to praise more and more
Absolutely love Babymetal and I never knew this video existed before tonight. What a special find (the speeches). It's incredible to see yet another chapter in the girl's lives. Watching each of them literally grow up over the last decade makes you feel more connected and invested in both the band and them as individuals. Su has clearly played and continues to play the leadership role. Moa being the emotional one certainly isn't a shocker, but boy can you feel her pain here. Yui really caught me off guard though. Her ability to speak with such poise... such grace. She really was a young adult already. How she handles herself in times of great emotions is very impressive. Super proud of them all and happy to have discovered their talents through music I love.
Su-chan said once that Saki's admiration for her moved her to tears and touched her heart profoundly. I don't remember where I saw her mention it, but it was a great moment. Saki is one the most lucky girls in SG as she said, she got to perform with her very first favorite idol. That's awesome.
What a beautiful moment!! I discover Babymetal back in 2014, and then I began to do a research about them, I encounter myself becoming an "idol" fan, totatly, I found that Su had a sister (Himeka "Himetan") in another Idol band and then I'm became a huge Nogizaka46's fan either. Thanks to Babymetal and Sakura Gakuin, now I enjoy many other bands, and the amazing Idol-J music and all the universe that envolves it. Su was always our queen, Moa our angel!
Mercy, I actually watched this entire video. Very moving! Very! The individual comments from members towards the end to Suzuko shows just how many memories these girls made with each other. There were just too many tears and raw emotion by all these girls to show how much hard work they've all contributed to get where they are all today. Thankyou very much for this upload!

These girls get so much love and attention all the time that the cruelty of Morei his unending teasing the girls just adds some humility and humor to the girls. With their enormous talents it might be easy for the girls to get a big head but Morei keeps joking with them and wont let them.

Remember, when this happened, neither Su, nor Yui, nor Moa knew they would stay together as Babymetal...and Moa has a HUGE onesama complex for Su. She was really devastated by Su's "graduation." I am glad the three of them will always have their memories of those early days. (...and yes, Rinon was laughing...as Su said.)

It is especially poignant when you remember that Moa is an only child...and she really idolized "big sister" Su. Frankly. I think she still does.

いくつかさくら学院の卒業式を見ましたが
やはり2012年度は最も印象に残っています。
強い絆を感じた……
特にすぅちゃんの成長は著しく、元々末っ子にも関わらず
たくさんの妹たちをかかえ、生徒会長としてひとりで頑張り3年生を駆け抜けた。
彼女のキャラクターと責任感、
類まれな歌唱力でみんなに尊敬されていたのでしょう。
そして彼女は、最後まで涙は流さなかった……
ちなみに私が知る限りでは、すぅちゃんはステージで泣いたのを見たことがありません。(さすがにこのステージは際どかった)
最後に泣いているのを見たのは
この卒業式の前にあった在校生によるサプライズの時で、その時はおすまし顔で座っていながら涙が頬に伝っていました。
これを見るためにはひとりになる必要がありました😭

もあちゃんが友達を離さないで走っていく姿は、いつ見ても泣けます。モアちゃんの友達としての愛情、尊敬、そして絆の深さが伝わってきます。

Remember, when this happened, neither Su, nor Yui, nor Moa knew they would stay together as Babymetal...and Moa has a HUGE onesama complex for Su. She was really devastated by Su's "graduation." I am glad the three of them will always have their memories of those early days. (...and yes, Rinon was laughing...as Su said.)
